yh but I'm unlimited lol been using this app before name change definitely uses a lot of data.
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk

Yeah it consume a lot of data but if you r unlimited it doesnt matter. There is also option that you can save some song on your sd card and listen them offline.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA

Has this been updated so thdt offline music is stores on sd instead of internal? Its been my biggest complaint since it first came out and i stopped using it.
Sent from my R800a using XDA

The older version (just "Google Music" app) has been able to store to the SD card for offline storage for quite some time.

Thanks for this.

Is anyone having issues with the screen rotation after installing this amazing app?

I could be wrong but I believe for the dedicatred apps you need ICS, I have the latest Google PLAY Market and it has all the books, videos, music, apps, rooled into one.....

Ok, so where should I extract these files?

Just for a very selfish reason that I am posting this, excuse me.

Thank you so very much for this!
Any official changelog anywhere? I'm coming from 4.1.512 and don't notice any huge changes.
Using Google Music on my Zenithink C71 7" Chinese tablet produces a lot of "Process has stopped" messages, although music keeps playing no problem with this latest version. On my DesireZ no probs what so ever.
I can concur: Europe (home of truly unlimited data plans) thanks you!

nice an smooth on both my devices (as a simple music player)...gratitude

[Q] not one decent musicplayer!

hi all,
as an older user, i have ripped all my vinyl and my cd's to mp3 on a dedicated
hard disk. Every album ripped to a folder with albumart.
I have a dell streak 5 inche and a archos 101 10 inche mobile and tablet.
I have no intention to synchronise all my albums to my streak and or archos. It's just stupid! I just want to see the coverart like i see it in silverjuke and then just stream the music from my harddrive to my phone or tablet.
The new musicplayer from honeycomb was close for the coverart but i still cannot stream the files to my phone or tablet.
- excemple of silverjuke coverart

Anyone an idea or suggestion..an musicplayer that just keeps the coverart and the links to the files on the tablet or mobile and streams the musicfiles over the network.

cruzin_cruzing gives you the very best advice for streaming your music and you dismiss him because it doesn't look like silverjuke?
Seriously, that's a douche move bud. Either take good advice, or search for something yourself. And just so you know, you won't find any app better than AudioGalaxy for streaming your music right now.
Audiogalaxy is amazing I'm able to play on my phone my entire 40+ gb music collection on my phone. It streams from your computer, you can even queue the music you want to play next. Its really ingenious, I like it!

If you don't want to register on a site then "Subsonic" does pretty much the same as Audio Galaxy, but without the registration. You will need to open up your firewall to allow the connection in to the pc though.
I'm using it now and really impressed with it.

yeah cause it's still not the musicapp i'm looking for.
If i want to stream and play something WITHIN my own network, i don't want to
1. install a server or something like that on the hostpc
2. register on a website to do something on my own network
es file explorer can stream everything from my shares on my network, so i don't see any reason why others can't do it with a musicapp.
so still waiting for someone to make it
Have fun waiting; or you could always write your own app. Have fun!
Edit: BTW, you should change the title of this thread. You're not looking for a decent player, there are many of those around. You're just too picky and like to easily dismiss good alternatives.

Google Music

Let me start off by say how much I love this service as in everytime i am in my car I let the service run. For the first time ever I have gone over the 5GB cap. I have read the forums and read the vibrant mods have been able to "unthrottle". I hear its one of those "it is what it is" kind of things.
Do you guys ever think about switching to SPRINT, just because they have unlimited data?
Or
Now that I been using my music A LOT on the phone I have realized I want a phone with BIG internal memory, sadly the sensation only has 1GB. Does this sway your purchase?
A 16 gb sd card goes a long way. Also, using Audiogalaxy I'm able to stream my entire 300gb music library to my phone. I've tried every cloud service and I keep sticking with Augiogalaxy. Just got my invite to Google Music. I'll try it out, but 5 gb limit doesn't really work for me...
still need my invite to come :\
I have a 32GB card in my phone, and use Google music to stream a good portion of my music to my phone. I am currently in the process of uploading 94GB of music to the cloud now. Google music has a limit of 20,000 songs right now so we'll see where it goes but since it's streaming I can keep my memory card free for other things like videos.

Gotcha. I have unlimited everything so I don't worry about that.
For some reason I really like AudioGalaxy way better. I don't think it's worth going over our 5GIG cap of Tmobile 4G data just for using Google Music. I never reach the cap when using Audio Galaxy, but I imagine since Google Music is using the same idea, PLUS it's syncing with your gmail it'll use more? Anyways I am trying it out so far it's ok I guess my music is mixed up though. Certain albums separate with each song it's kind of annoying. Love the UI though, and the online UI as well. Very neat idea, and for Beta I guess I should wait until they release it fully or update it a bit.

I realize this is not the most helpful response, but we're pretty sure it's due to your custom ROM. If it's based on iCS or JB you might still be able to run the app if we send you the APK directly. Let me know if you're interested.

Please let us know what you think. We've gotten feedback that there are too many notifications (fewer people logged in to their accounts than we expected) so that's going to be decreased. Also heard that our idea of learning and predicting might be too slow - people would rather answer some questions so we start getting what they want.
What do you think? Are you getting videos you are interested in? Are there additional apps we should support?
I unticked the option given and only selected watch it later videos
But this app is downloading hell lot of uninterested trending videos
Which causes data loss and also time and battery too
Why you download videos which i am absolutely not interested
First this app put us to sign you tube and tr are plenty of options like watch it later, favorite, but this app downloads all the trending videos from YouTube
Not all the video we are interested
why the App disappeared from the play store?

[Q] [!] High RAM usage on stock rom XT1033

Hello,
I got my MOTO G a few days back and the thing that irritates me the most is the high RAM usage (just a mere 330 MB left) when I switch it on.
I was wondering if anyone of you have experienced the same on the stock ROM (KitKat)?
If yes, then what did you do to have greater amount of RAM resources at your disposal? (Except flashing a new ROM or rooting the device, not so much into android modding)
Also, which apps would be safe to disable? Please share your views and solutions to this problem.
Regards.

That it's not a problem - a lot of that usage will be cached processes which Android can chuck out of memory as soon as it's needed for something else. And being cached in the background means those apps will be ever so slightly more responsive when they are launched
List of stuff you can disable?
Anything Google/Motorola which is user facing that you don't use ( I've got Google+, Hangouts, Chrome, Calculator, Play Books, Play Games, Play Movies and TV, Play Music, Email, Migrate, Assist and Help disabled on mine).

To my knowledge, Android is indeed taking good care of its memory. Trying to keep the memory as full as possible. This is an other approach than Windows does.
Btw, apps that I disabled so far: CQATest, Google+, Help, Galery, Drive, Cloudprinter, Motorola assist, Google Play Books, Google Play Music, Motorola DriveActivator, Gmail, Motorola Migrate, Chrome, Google Text to Speech, Motorola Checkin, Translate, Google Play Games, Market feedback agent, Picasa uploader, Streetview, Audio effects, Spooler, Face unlock, HTML viewer, HP Printer Service-plugin and all the live wallpapers.

[APP][4.1+][BETA] BuMP - a lightweight floating music player with Spotify support

BuMP is a handy music player in a floating bubble, we've created it with one idea in mind - to replace all widgets with powerful yet lightweight app that will be useful.
This time you don't need to switch from apps, games to change current track/artist etc. Click the bubble, stop your music, shuffle it or search through your library.
Main features of beta:
- Light and fast
- Supports local music and Spotify (for Spotify Premium only, sorry - limitation of API)
- Search your library or look for new music in Spotify
- Material design (with animations)
- Made by people with love, the same guys that brought you n7player
Stuff that might come:
- Support for other players
- Support for different streaming services
- Better playlist support
- And more
Important
This stuff is in beta stage and it means it might be unstable sometimes.
Grab BuMP, it's free
BuMP on Google Play
Last words
We are really counting on your feedback. This app went quite a long way from being small remote control concept to an actual player. I might post some of early designs of it if you're interested.

You need to join G+ community first, then beta testing and as last step download the app from the store.
I have added link to APK.
Settings in BuMP are finally here! As well as filtering results.
Although settings will certainly switch their place (current location is -temporary-), they should be pretty useful and will be extended in future - it's only tip of an iceberg of what's to come.
Apart from that, you are able now to filter your search results by track/album/artist/playlist and browsing your own music should be way easier now.
If you are still not familar with BuMP, join our beta testing on Google+:
https://plus.google.com/communities/108246633713157193650
BuMP went live! Beta is now open for everyone and also there were many important changes with latest build.
For example - notifications on track change, smooth animations while fast-forwarding, walkthroughs and a lot of bugfixes, current song indicator, proper playlist/artist/album covers, optimizations, shuffle all, Spotify playback fixes and proper data reading... and probably more things that I forgot about.
So this is dead ?
Please.. Can an updated version of Bump player be made.. I've been using this player for years but can't use it anymore since i got a phone with Andriod 10 version.
