Over or underestimating data usage?

Go to the market and try to buy an app. Attempt having it billed to your carrier account vs adding a credit card. I was getting an error after the EULA acceptance. I was also getting it on 2.3.5 but after a few attempts it started working again. Not sure if this was related to some Google Wallet changes or this ROM but 2 phones were doing it on 2 loads.
Settings > Applications > Market > clear cache, clear data.
Settings > Applications > Download manager > clear data.
Reboot, fix permissions. Reboot.
Report back.
I also have been experiencing this problem since UCLA3 changes on both silvers stock dump and stockmod 2. bill to my att account will work when I Odin back to the 2.3.5 att stock and some other roms based on UCKJ2
This was an issue with Google Wallet I guess. I rebuilt both devices on 2.3.5 and had the same issue. It started working again early this morning. After a few tests I flashed back to UCLA3 via a nandroid on each device to find it working as well on 2.3.6.
At& hot spots aren't working either. It says not eligible or something like that.

Listen I suggest you flash the Rom & kernel again follow these steps go into recovery wipe data then wipe cache then go to advance & wipe dalvik cache after you wipe all 3 go to mounts & storage wipe system then wipe boot after than flash the Rom you want then flash the kernel you want after that just before you reboot go back into advance & fix permission then reboot you should be golden

Yeah may try that upon getting to a computer, just seem tedious, lol, though aside from market fc'ing on me am I really gonna use Nfc and wallet I mean I live in canada so it's not much i can do with it, though I heard tell of a rumor that Google is bringing it up here to us soon...

I remember when I was on stock factory rom my GPS was working perfectly.
Now on custom rom rooted it bearly gets my location right..
Opinions?

Funny, on stock I could never get a lock. Try this: set the GPS source to internal
Grab an app called GPS status
Run it and let it download the "aiding data" them reboot, relaunch it, seconds later you should have a lock.

What rom?

I'm having the exact same issues. I used to have trouble locking but now as soon as I enable gps my phone reboots. I'm gonna try wiping it clean tomorrow and running the dragon kernel to see if it helps. Running Bionix Reloaded (latest)
anyone know a quick fix without rebooting?

I too have instant locks on any stock based rom after updating my baseband. But, after flashing custom CM7/EB/ etc non stock roms i noticed it took a little longer to lock if it even locked. So i seen a post here on xda about going into the maps app via settings/ applications/ manage applications. Then clear cache/data. Then going back into navigation or maps app i would receive instant locks again. Sorry I dont have a link to that thread but thats what helped me. it takes a few extra seconds to do that but i liked it better than rebooting my phone which took longer.
Hey all I need help. Can't seem to send texts. I can receive them but not send em. Anyone have the apn settings for at&t? I was flashing different modems and I think I screwed it up some how.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA
APN's don't have anything to do with regular text messages, only internet and MMS
OK well then what do I do? Does anyone have the original modem from aokp b29? I used the modems from the stickie modem thread and I honestly don't trust those zip files now.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA
Probably because you used the wrong one, don't blame others work because you don't know how to use it... They have all worked perfectly for me and many others...
Just flash an I9000 Modem that is for CM7/CM9/MIUI
Dude wasn't blaming someone else, get off the high horse. I'm asking for help. Obviously one of the modems I flashed was not for ics. I've used that thread for all my modems from 2.2 to 2.3 so i know its something I did. I've tried flashing other modems from there no success. I've wiped data and cache still nothing. I have no smsc number in the testing menu. So if your not willing to help just move on

just reflash AOKP without factory reset. back to normal.
or captivate > Development section > Modem Sticky > Captiave Modem website > ICS/CM9 MODEMS
Thanx, I figured it was gonna be that or one click back to jf6 and start over
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA
I must have really screwed it good. Flashing aokp won't even change the base and to what's in the rom. I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and one back to jf6. Man I hate it when I do stupid things like this lol.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA
why would you go back to jf6? kk4 would be fine but that isnt needed either.
flash an ICS modem from where i told you. or CWM > wipe system > wipe data > install rom fresh. done.
Could be your SMSC. Had this happen when I accidentally updated it as a 0.
Get into phone info by *#*#4636#*#* and hit refresh to see what your SMSC is. Google what your provider's code is supposed to be and make sure it matches.
I was the smsc number. It got changed to zero for some reason. Than for both of your help I really appreciate it.

This site has modem downloads as well, and a link to a Google map to narrow down which may work better in your area.
(edit)
The modem list is in no particular order, so you may have to scroll a bit to find what you're looking for.
edit: Well I can not post links yet, not up to 10 posts... but if you search the forum for soggycashew you may find the link I was trying to post.
edit2: Glad you resolved your issue!
I'm trying to download a few apps and keep getting "This item is not compatible with your device" most of these are apps are ones that I have had on my phone.

I"m not a newbie. I have flashed many roms. Odined back to stock. Used PhoneInfo app to reset.
Nothing works. I have again reflashed back to stock then rooted through odin even updated radio. I have data 4g so I can download apps just can't get the phone to dial. it says "No Network Availble" When I look at the status in the setup app it says searching for Service onher Status/Network
Signal Strength is -98dBm
Mobile Network type is LTE:14
service state is Out of service.
Um, this is the development section. People probably won't help you when you post here
