Phone won't connect to Car Radio - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have a Pionee DEH P6200BT for my car.
I used to have an I4 and it worked fine, but everytime I try to connect the SR, it won't read the music.
Anyone have this kind of issue with other radios and if so any workaround(aside from using the mini jack)

First off search there are a few topics on Bluetooth issues second this should be in the q&a section

Not a bluetooth issue, it is not recognizing it via a USB connection.
Bluetooth voice(calls) works perfectly fine.

Are you mounting your phone?
Bring down the notification menu after you connect your phone to your radio. Then select usb connection or something similar. I think there is one more screen after that but it should work.
I used my inspire and skyrocket with a Kenwood DNX8120 and a Sony XNV-770bt

This was it, but it is trickier for me.
I have to mount it within 5 seconds of connecting it to the radio or it won't work.
I got it to work last night and at first I was like WTF? why am I hearing nav info through the speakers. Apparently for some reason it puts the nav sounds in a seperate folder and lets me access it. Weird.
Oh well got it working mostly(doesn't display any of the Artist/Album info) but at least I can listen now.

I have the same headunit. And I'm able to mount it. This is what I do: turn USB debugging on, plug your phone in and when it says its reading, mount your SD card. If you get an error on the headunit, just switch back to USB and try again. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Btw, I'm running stock rooted 2.3.5 on my phone

HI.
ive checked in settings > display and there's no tv out settings
im on insertcoin 4.6.1
I'm using ARHD 6.30 and works just fine.
Are you using a official mhl cable?
You need connect your normal micro usb cable from the power connector in to the mhl connector, in the mhl you connect your normal HDMI cable, the only connector that is left, connect that one in to your phone.
It can happen that it won't start straightaway, disconnect and connect a few times, or even reboot your phone. sometimes its a bit hikky.

Hi,
My mhl cable is not branded, but it said it was compatible with the Sensation.
I had it connected just like you said, but it doesn't work.
Like i said it is charging.
I re-connected the cable maybe 7 times, I even did a reboot. Nothing works!
I think i should try another ROM, if that doesn't work i lost 25 euro's on a dead cable...

Logitech Tablet Keyboard

I recently bought this keyboard and been having many problems with it. I'm running team EOS ics wifi model, my mouse connects and runs just fine but the keyboard registers key strokes weird. I'll press a key quick and it types like 8 times. This happens every time I use it and it also disconnect a lot randomly . Is anyone else having problems like this?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Yupp, sure did have the same problem. I just re-flashed the Rom and the gapps. Connected the keyboard first, connect the mouse second, disconnect the keyboard while mouse is still connected & finally re-connect the keyboard.
Worked for me, no device is similar to the last.

I mean, its worth a shot. Just do a backup before you do so. You don't have anything to loose but something to gain if anything. Just wipe and don't worry about "forgetting" them as they will be forgotten during the wiping process. Re-install the same order as I expressed in the above reply. Good luck and keep me posted.

Flashed system, Flashed newest rom twice, flashed gapps, reboot. Connected mouse, then keyboard, then disconnect keyboard, reconnected. Still having the problem, I'm beginning to think its a faulty keyboard
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Well I'm sorry you had to go through the trouble to come to find out its the keyboard. I would personally go to your local "Micro Center" and go to the clearance section to find a actual tablet keyboard. Bluetooth is Bluetooth but some manufacturers are iffy on the connectivity.
Keep me updated, I won't give up until this problem has been solved.

Problems with mounting sdcard on ubuntu

Ok I need help I can't get my phone to charge or mount my SD card on my computer.. I have ubuntu studio, I never had any problems till a few weeks ago. I now thought it was the ics ROM I was running so I went back to gb and a sence ROM. Still no connection. Yes usb debugging is on. And toggled it many times, and fast boot on power setting toggled it too many times. I am now pulling my SD card out then putting in my card reader to work at this time.. Any help would be a great help. Thanks

Is it only when you use your computer? It could be the data cable is messed up or the USB port on your PC is messed up.

Tried different cables and usb and computers also. No charge or SD mount. But can charge off wall plug
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Hmmm.... so you cant get it to mount to any computer. I hate to say it but it sounds like a hardware issue. Almost like one of the pins is broken that reads the connection for data use.

[SOLVED] Issues when trying to connect to PC

Hello everyone,
So all of a sudden I'm having problems when trying to connect my new One S to my PC. This is really confusing so read carefully.
Typically, when we connect the device to a PC, the LED lights up and the USB icon shows up in the status bar. Here's the thing. When I try to connect my HOS to the PC, the LED blinks asynchronously and the icon on the status bar disappears and reappears. It's like the connection is loose.
My first thought was that there should be a hardware issue.
I tested the cable first for any issues. I tried another cable and the problem persisted. When I tried to connect my other device, an Xperia X8, there was no problem whatsoever. So, definitely, the cable is not producing the problem.
Next, I thought maybe the Micro USB port on my One S was the problem. I took a q-tip and cleaned it, although it already was clean. Tried again connecting it to the PC, no luck. But when I tried connecting it to my Laptop instead, there was no problem at all! And there's also no problem when charging it (from the wall charger).
My next thought was the PC's USB ports where causing the problem. I took a vacuum cleaner p) and dusted off any lint there was. So I tried connecting my HOS again and still no luck. Tried all 4 USB ports and even a USB extension cord.
If needed, my PC is running Ubuntu 12.04, my Laptop Win7 and my HOS is running CM10.
Now I'm really confused and I have no idea what to do next. Any thoughts?

Sorry but I gotta bump this.
I tried connecting it with Virtuous ROM, JB Sense and the issue is still present. I'm pretty sure it's not the ROM's fault.

It's Ubuntu, there are no drivers. On my laptop with Windows, there's no issue and I didn't install any HTC drivers. Just the regular drivers Windows installs when detecting a new device.
Can someone please merge this thread with mine so we get the right answers in one thread please, this would help both of us and also anyone else that may come across our issues?

Any Admin, please can you?
I should probably note that I'm not using an HTC Micro USB cable. Both cables I tried were Sony (Xperia X8) cables.

I think its the chipset that Linux is having issues with so maybe look into updating that or changing it for another version.

The chipset is pretty much the motherboard which of cause controls USB and other stuff. So you need find out what you on and then see if there is an update.
So I should check if there is a software update for my motherboard. Sorry, I'm not well informed concerning hardware
Will do.

Hello!
Which Version is your ROM at? Everything except the Jelly bean update (4.1) should work out of the box.
From jelly bean on you will need libmtp. You want to use mass storage? As far as i know One S has just recently been added to libmtp things. So if there would be a problem you may contact the bugowner or just wait for a working kio slave with mtp.
Greetings,
R
PS.: I use opensuse so things are for sure different. I will just wait for a kio slave that works.
Maybe my information is not precise enough or not correct but you could give it a go:
Try google for:
[How to] Connect your Android Ice Cream Sandwich ... - OMG! Ubuntu!
Maybe you can work with this.

Yeah I have an s3 also and that connects fine, it has to be something with the infuse, cause I can't flash anything cant update my bootloader or go back to stock.... anyone know if there's some part of the software that can be wiped or something to fix the usb problem...?

I've been in the same boat for a few months. Charge yes. Download mode yes. PC see phone on USB no. Power button failed and replaced it. Asked the place that fixed it about the USB problem and they replaced the USB connection but this didn't help. They said could be a bad USB controller. I've flashed multiple ROMs with full wipe and same story. New USB cables don't help. It seems it must be software related. Have removed all Samsung drivers from my PC and reloaded to no avail. I'd really like to return to stock or GB because I miss taking movies and listening to streaming music without chop. And I think I'm getting old and lazy. Fair likelihood I'll get an S3 or S4 soon and give the infuse to my kid. Maybe I'll something bigger...
