FC (acore) in silverwrx03 / UCLA3 ROM - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I have had the ROM running for a few days and everything works great except I get a force close of the voicemail key. I did the fix permission as suggested in other threads. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this before going to the next step of wiping and re-flashing the whole ROM. (noob - not enough posts for the development section)

I've seen that happen if the visual voicemail app is not installed or frozen.

does it happen when you press #1 on keypad (which goes direct into vmail) or just pressing the VM key on keypad? (which I believe goes direct to AT&T Visual Voicemail as csschmitt pointed out above)

I unfrozen visual voicemail in the error stopped. The long press on the '1' did not cause an FC. I use G Voice so it is not a big issue anyway, I reas most VMs.Thanks for the assist!

No vibrating for texts

I recently installed the gingerbeast rom on my phone, and now, whenever I get texts, there is no vibration. The text tone works, and my phone vibrates for calls and pressing buttons, but it doesn't vibrate for texts, even when I set it to always vibrate. Is that part of the rom, or is there something wrong with my phone??
i would assume rom. try doing a fullwipe and installing another rom just to see.
I'd go through the rom thread and see if anyone else has experienced your issue (though, this is cumbersome)...
Try clearing the dalvik cache and reboot....
Is vibrate (in message settings) enabled?
If that doesn't work, try out this app. I used it on the stock rom and it worked wonderfully. I'd bet that it would do the trick for you too.
Open up your text app. Hit menu>setting >notification setting. Their just change as you see fit

Use an app that will split messages for you, or at least has a counter so you can split them yourself.
go into messaging, hit menu, settings and look for Split message, you can also check-mark message counter...
i have not had the issue since

[Q] ICS Real Thing

I've installed ICS: The Real Thing and it's a beautiful ROM. I have an issue with deleting an entire message thread. Each time I try to do so, it vibrates, turns black, and says messaging has stopped working. It then force closes.
Also, I am unable to set permissions for TiBu. I went to settings>security>unknown sources (checked the box).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

And for the Good Cop answer: it's a common bug in UCAL4, delete via the menu rather than long pressing the thread/message.
Promiseofcake, thank you.

Is it possible to get a smaller battery icon and signal meter for this beautiful ROM?

Weird GoSMS Pro issue

Hey all....have a weird issue here. I use GoSms as my messaging app. I have added it as a shortcut to the lock screen. When I have a new text come in and I get into the app from my lock screen, the keyboard doesn't want to work. It recognizes I'm typing (buttons press, popups show up) but nothing shows up in the entry field. I need to completely back out of the conversation and get back in again. Then it works fine. It does this regardless of what keyboard I use. The stock messaging app works fine and I don't have this issue. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Sprint voicemail notification

I cannot seem to find a rom that doesn't alert me of fictitious voicemails. I have zero messages and get it won't go away. I have tried stopping the phone process and that does clear the notification but only for 30 seconds or so. Its quite annoying. Does anyone on sprint know of or is currently running a rom that doesn't do this?

I'm on sprint and I have not gotten one system alert for voicemails. When I get a voicemail I get a blank text message from a 4 digit number. Is that way on stock and every rom ive tried.

Really? Its been a problem for me since day 1..... Odd that you would have a different voicemail issue. Here's a screenshot. It never goes away.

I've actually never even seen the notification for voicemail on the 3 nexus5s I've used. First was defective second I broke 3rd still the same. Voicemail just sends me a blank text. Can't remember if I've actually even set up my voicemail, It might still be at all defaults with no greeting and just my number. I've read of several people with the same problems so i haven't messed with mine cause i like it how it is.

Supposedly, this update fixed the voicemail but that was a trecherous lie. http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...-to-kot49h-today-but-what-happened-to-kot49e/
Two options at this point in time:
1) Get Cyanogenmod 11 M2 (or nightlies), this will allow you to swipe dismiss the notification. Another option is to take out the /system/app/phone.apk from the CM11 M2 ROM and put it in your stock ROM to get the swipe dismiss.
2) Hold down the VM notification and goto App Info and force close. (dont need to delete data nedjo67)
It will stay at 2 messages at any time. It basically is broken. You can use google voice to get REAL notifications that actually work but it will still show the broken voice mail notification.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon. I complained about this a while ago but Sprint does not think its a priority? Best place to get Sprint to fix it is to go on twitter and tell @sprintcare about your problem. Also make sure you tell @sprintcare that you are on the newest update or they will recommend you upgrade (not an actually solution for us, duh). The more people to harass @sprintcare, the better.
