Can I root a Skyrocket from a Kindle Fire?
It has a USB port. But I've never rooted a phone from anything other than a Windows desktop before. Kind of wondering if it can be done from a Kindle Fire?
I googled it but all the hits are about rooting the Kindle, rather than using the Kindle to root something else.
Well no, you can't. There is no odin for a kindle fire and there will possibly never be...

Ever couple of days I have to re-register to Kindle with my g-tablet. Kindle Tech support can't help stating that my tablet is not compatible. Strange since ViewSonic specifically mentions kindle in the manual. Can anyone help?
So i want a new tablet and i see the Kindle Fire and NOOK Tablet are priced well and ill be in the US in december so i may pick one up for myself but as i live abroad all i want to do if hopfully root the device and use as a 7inch tablet. I had a NOOK colour so thats why im leaning more for the NOOK tablet as i know it should be able to ROOT but not sure on the Kindle Fire. Wondering if anyone could help and provide their opinions.
Thanks!
Wasn't sure where to ask this, feel free to move the thread.
With some hardware modding can I put bluetooth in my Kindle Fire? I am running Android 4.2.2 on my Kindle Fire so if I do get it to work I wont need a new rom.
I didn't find a specific forum on the kindle fire hd 6" (mine is 4th gen), I apologize..so a move would be appreciated.
Mines the Amazon kindle fire hd 6" 4th gen . I installed Google play services and the others like sis say to, though I still get GPServices not installed errors and it don't work. I 've looked into rooting but I'm unsure a good safe way. Many tutorials from years ago..rather have a current one or someone who knows what they talking about maybe direct me to a good root tut.I'm guessing the 6 and 7 done the same way since most are about rooting 7 etc? Thanks for any and all help.

Not sure if anybody here knows anything about the kindle paperwhite, but I was wondering if it was possible, somehow, to connect your kindle paperwhite to you phone for file transfer?
I'm going to travel south america soon for a longer time and I wanna pack as light as possible, meaning no laptop. However I plan on reading a lot; Don't know which books yet though(Anybody heard of the 52in52 challenge maybe?) and I would love to be able to get books on my kindle from other sources than the kindle store also. So I could download them to my phone and them somehow get them on the kindle.
Any chance thats possible?
