I just boot the phone into Android system recovery.
And I just got that.
Then it won't let me flash the ROM.

Try: mount / system instead mount /system, sometimes it works so.

Ok if you heve stock and second init recovery then nothing is lost. What CWM- says is totally OK. And stock recovery always unable to read /cache/recovery/command.
What firmware were you on when installed second init? You sould try to restore the nandroid of that firmware with CWM.
If you wiped your phone with stock recovery then CWM will not work then you should flash your stock sbf with RSD lite.
ok will try when I get back home and will post the results
note: im on cm7 beta 6 b4 this happened.
Sent from my MB525 using XDA Premium App
You have to go back to Nordic, via RSD Lite .
Flash the full rom, since you already flashed the whole sbf one time, you won't be worry about downgradability, it's lost.
Then wipe again, at the end the cwm should work as expected.
Just as a note after i flashed the full Nordic sbf i got stuck so i went into stock recovery and wiped data etc. This let me boot the nordic rom. Then just need to root, install 2nd init and reinstall cm7
yay! now im on cm7 and will check if the errors are still there
and btw how do I go back to 2.2.2 stock in order to install ephunord rom
edit:
custom recovery says
E:unable to read cahe/recovery/command
E:unable to read cahe/recovery/starter
then when wiping dalvik cache on cwm
when pressing wipe dalvik cache
E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]
then when I confirm it it says
dalvik cache wiped.
is it normal?
can't install the google apps package too downloaded many times but it always end up on bad installation or something
wew im so stressed with my phone right now

unless i force format it w/ fat16 from my pc.but it shouldnt be an issue.

Hey
I already tried to install 3 different version of roms and all of them have the same issue. The problem is "Status 0" .
I have recovery ClockworkMod Recovery v3.2.0.0. When I'm tried to change recovery for 4EXTRecovery v2.1.3 RC2 I recieve error "Status 7".
I tried few guides but with no success.
I tried wipe reset(wipe factory reset) but nothing help me.
Any ideas?
Thanks
After a quick google for "status 7" it seems either the rom you have downloaded is damaged, or its incompatible with your phone.
What roms have you been trying, and are you sure they are compatible with Desire S?

See my signature Fried eMMC Chip? for a link to a long thread which contains a series of commands that will determine whether you do indeed have fried eMMC chip or not.
From the numbers of users that are currently encountering this problem it does seem to me that you can get these errors without necessary having one, so don't panic just yet.
Although I'll be completely honest I haven't yet discovered how to resolve these errors...but am working on it.
EDIT: hadn't read properly.

@janesz1891
Why you don't try to install cwm 5.5.0.4 (in i9001 wiki page you'll find 2 versions: 1 for odin and 1 for stock/custom recovery ) because i think it's most stable and you can flash with it ics,jb(4.1.2, 4.2.2) roms ( gb i'm not sure) then try to wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache , wipe dalvik cache.. good luck !!
Hello
First: thanks all who try to help people with bricked /data like me
Second: I have some feedback for you: try alireza7991 fixdata.zip (CWM 6.0.3.0 by alireza) and i have same as janesz1981:
Fixing data... ( 1-2 min pause)
format() expects 2 args, got 5
E:Error in /external_sd/datafix.zip

Without reboot i try format /data partition and it was succesful (wow), try next to mount /data but cant (error: cant mount /data) .
I try with other partitions (system, cache) but situation was same like /data - cannot mount. Next i try restore (without reboot) Broodrom RC5, without succes (cant mount system). When i restart phone (battery out) i try format /data but situation was like always - formating data... and nothing works, wait 10-15 minutes and abort, positive is i can mount partitions now but still can't format data.
Next strange thing when i flash your zip was external memory and infernal memory change their place in CWM (for example when i try flash zip like always from internal memory says i dont have it, when i try with external memory i see its my internal memory). When restart phone all back to normal.
Now i try with CWM 5.5.0.4 and update here.
UPDATE:
CWM 5.5.0.4 - same like cwm 6.0.3, dont work, same errors
I try flash one more time (cwam 5.5.0.4) and i have new tip maybe:
Fixing data... ( 1-2 min pause)
format() expects 2 args, got 5
E:Error in /external_sd/datafix.zip

I get it after having issues booting into a custom ROM a second time and I go into TWRP to roll back to my stock backup. I have to do a full wipe/format in order to clear it and do my restore. Have not seen a fix for it that works yet.
oh I see, when I want to Wipe Data, it wipes though that problem came out of nowhere.
