Need help with xyboard rom please - General Questions and Answers

OK so I understand i did this to myself lol, here is what happened... When I rooted my XYBOARD 10.1 I used titanium Backup to rid myself of the bloatware that came with the stock ROM, but like an idiot I didn't just Freeze the Apps. I removed them.......
issue is now, I cannot install any updates. .. it errors out when it try's to install the HelpCenter.apk update..... well i found helpcenter.apk and installed it but still no good.....
I have tried to do a Factory data Reset on the device, but when I do it still boots back up with SU installed and rooted ? It also will not install anything off the on-board memory like "update.zip" just keeps saying it cannot mount the Ext SD Card, I'm guessing this is because the device does not have one...
SO, I just need a Stock ROM to flash back into the Device... DOES ANYONE HAVE A D-LOAD LINK FOR THE STOCK ROM ?? To start over from scratch..... I have RSD Lite installed....
Please Help.

[Q] please help i'm stuck on cm6.1beta4

first of thanks for all your help in advance and sorry for my bad grammar, spelling and stupid questions but i'm a noob and foreigner.
so i got my G-tab like 2 days ago and played with the stock TnT rom for awhile and it sucked.
so first did a nandroid backup.
installed CW Recovery v2.5.1.1-bekit-0.8 and
installed CM 6.1.0-Beta4-Harmony and all was good.
on a side note: i noticed that when i tried to Wipe Dalvik Cache that i get the error message:
E : Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(read somewhere that rePartitioning would fix that )
and so i RePartitiond my SD card. Big mistake because now my Nandroid Backup with the stock TnT rom is gone. oh sh.. i think to my self, but i still have a backup on my Mac so i tried to mound G-tab to Mac doesn't work anymore
so here i am now stuck on CM6.1.0-Beta4-
no g-apps no gmail no market no nothing and i can't find anything on how to install them without using a PC or mac.
i downloaded a TnT vanilla stock rom but i cant get it to work.
and i would really like to try the TnT light rom too.
my question is how can i mount my g-Tab to PC/Mac. or how can i install roms directly from my G-tab using CW Recovery? use too be able to just flash it but that doesn't work anymore
or can i just download a TnT rom nandroid backup zip file and then install it?
so thanks for all you help and sorry for my stupidity anything would help

[Q] Desire HD - Does not boot after installing new ROM

Hi together,
today I installed a new ROM on my Desire HD. But now it does not boot anymore, there is just the HTC-Logo and then it hangs - I have to remove the batterie to turn off the device.
So, what happened?
Yesterday I installed the Nightly-Release on the Cyanogenmod end everything worked fine. But because of a few things I wanted to get my old ROM, so I used the ROM-Manager to reinstall my Backup.
But that didn't work - the system doesn't boot...
After a bit research I found the ODIN-Tool - is that the right way to repair it?

I had the same issue this morning when changing rom to a cyanmod nightly edition. I had error messages so I though that I would go for Evolution HD rom that I had working before. When adding that rom again It hanged on the HTC logo. What I did was to do a factory reset and then I used another rom that I had lying on the SD card and installed from zip. Might not be as easy for you if you dont have different roms on your SD card like me, but thats what I did. Dont know anything about the tool you got there sorry :/ Wish you the best of lyck finding an answer here.
Cheers!
Simon
Hey Simon, thanks for your reply.
Actually I tried to install the Cyanogenmod Stable release, fresh downloadet from the Website.
I am able to start the ClockWorkRecovery (Version 3), so I have the possibility to access the SD Card.
But nothing changed with the new ROM installed.
Got it! I used the current version of the LeeDroid. This ROM runs and now I can use my ROM Manager to install another ROM.
Thanks for your support.
Edit: I had problems installing my Cyanogenmod--Backup. Fixed it with installing LeeDroid, downgraded my Clockwork-Recovery to 2.5.1.3 and formatted my SD-Card. After resetting all data in the recovery menu I was able to install my Backup.

my lg optimus s won't boot into recovery

I tried installing xionia custom recovery with an ez installer but it didn't install xionia and it seems like it uninstalled my stock recovery or it really messed it up. When booting into recovery phone won't go past the LG logo. I have tried everything I can think of to try to install a few different recoveries that I have found that work with this phone including stock recovery but nothing is working. Maybe a setting is preventing my phone from going into recovery? I have no idea and I don't know what else I can do to get a nandroid backup. I am dying to get rid of this sprint crap cuz this phone hardly has any space as it is and I have to keep uninstalling apps so I can receive text messages cuz it's so full.
I'm not sure if there's anything else I can try, after trying to install the recoveries I have found- xionia, amon ra, stock recovery, and one other I can't remember the name, I've tried installing them all through android terminal, from my computer using adb shell, and I have even tried different one click tools. I have unrooted and re-rooted my phone and I have uninstalled alot of apps so I'd have more space for recoery incase that was a problem but nothing has worked.
If anyone can think of anything else I'd appreciate your suggestions!
the only reason why you would need a recovery is if you want to flash a custom rom. if you only want to uninstall the bloatware, just use root uninstaller or titanium backup.
now if you just want a custom recovery, try this. if that doesnt work, post what happened earlier (step by step)
Thanks sweetnsour for replying, I gave up for a little while cuz it seemed I had tried everything and i was getting real annoyed cuz it seemed nothing was working. I tried installing the recovery you mentioned but it didn't work either but I think I figured out what my problem was, IDK if there's supposed to be a minimum amount of space on your phone when you flash recoveries, I assumed when you uninstall the stock recovery that'd make room for the new one. I finally got xionia to install after I uninstalled a bunch of apps and got a new sd card. There was virutually no space on my phone or sd card so maybe that was the problem when I was trying to install the recoveries before cuz it uninstalled the stock recovery but then I couldn't get any of the custom recoveries installed and then I finally made some room on my phone and got a new sd card and it finally worked. Hopefuly this can help anyone else who happens to have this problem. I can't wait to see what's up with all of these custom roms now!

Help! OTA Update on Rooted, Stock Rom, CWM Recovery

Hey guys,
I searched around and only found some old posts for this topic.
I just bought this phone, I rooted it, simunlocked it, and added two day old CWM recovery. Its a S4 Canadian (Bell) version in case that helps..
Is there a way to apply the OTA update WITHOUT having to wipe my data and settings and reflashing a rom?
Hlep will be greatly appreciated!
THANKS :good:
I got the same thing going on. I have a TMOUS HTC One S stock with CWM Rooted and such. I just changed it back to the Stock recovery, but doesn't seem to help. Is there something else I need to do? Maybe I need to flash a newer recovery version?
I have the stock recovery from a MoDaCo topic I can't list because I don't have 10 posts yet.
its topic/353006-interim-clockworkmod-touch-recovery-for-the-htc-one-s-stock-download/ though.
Are you sure your Rom is absolutely stock. For example if the rom is tweaked in any way or if bloatware has been deleted then you won't recieve the update
Ok so I got the update to work. This is what I did: in CWM I backed up a nandroid. I flashed a stock BACKUP for the HTC One S (I moved the zip to the clockwork > backups folder on the sd card). Rebooted into bootloader, flashed a stock recovery from modaco, rebooted, ran the update (I had to update twice, from 1.53 to 1.84 to 2.35). Then I restored my original nandroid. Problem is, the update didn't stick. And now I'm getting an error when I try to turn on wifi. Any ideas? I feel like I got so close...
Tough to see what went wrong.
I had a brand new stock rom with no modifications.
Then I flashed stock recovery,
Did a root keeper (play store app)
Then did the update
And restored root.
Worked out fine for me!
I think you should flash a stock rom and not a backup..

[Q] neatRom lite V4.3 fails to install

Hi All,
On GT-I9100, Android 4.1.2 BuildNUmber JZO54K.I9100XWLSD, I have installed Safe Stock kernel (PhilZ-cwm6 v4.87 with CWM 6.0.2.8 based recovery XWLSD). I then rooted using "Universal Rooting for most phones, Any ROM, now with CWM6 Methdo1" everything ok.
I am trying to make my battery lasting longer, and I do not need many apps. I checked on the different ROM and I wanted to install XWLSD_NeatROM_Lite_V4_3, I copied on external sd and try to install but no sucess, it always come back, after selecting the zip to install, as "Can't open xwlsd..... zip Bad".
I am not an expert, I am sure I have missed something but I do not know what. I did the wipe before installing etc ... but no chance. If anyone could give me a hint on my mistakes, it would be great.
I wounder if the XXMS1 can be installed ?
Thanks
