Camera Flash For Our Fit ! - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

I was searching the internet, for a while to find out the way to somehow add a external flash to our fit, and ended up to a post, which was about a device called "iFlash". It is a external hardware device for iPhone users only which adds a extra flash to there device.
So I was wondering, can this be made to work on on a android phone, or are there any alternatives !!

I recon that you could get an old microusb lead, chomp and strip the outer insulation. Use a multimeter to find which is power (I think the positive is red and negative is white on most USB cables). Wire up the positive connection of a LED to the negative of the USB lead, then negative to positive. Plug in and it should work!

nice info. want to know more about this.
if this works for my device then i am surely getting it.
Aspire [lomash] where are you we need your expert view about this.

@sid
you could try PhonePhlash.
I don't know whether it's available in India or not, but the pics shown do look good...
@Nathan
I don't think Fit's microUSB port has any power output.
So we need to use an external power supply like Lithium Button Cells or AA Batteries
(but they would look plain ugly)
@amandeep
i'm no expert lol... i just try my best to find the answers to your problems...

ghost touches the screen while charging

Hello,
my new HTC Sensation worked fine. But since 4 days it seems that a ghost it touching the tochpad all time when the cellphone is charging.
So you can't use it while it is charging...
If you remove the power plug everything is fine again.
Has anybody had the same problem?
Best regards
Markus
Just use another charger. Or touch the metal frame with your other hand. Its a problem with grounding .. next time please use search no need for yet another touchscreen thread
Pete
Hello,
thank you very much for your answer.
I called the German HTC support before, but the men at the hotline knew nothing about this problem and wanted me to send the phone the them (that might have taken 2 weeks as it was told )
And I tried the search, but it seems as I used the wrong text for the search.
I am sorry.
Will post if it worked or net.
Best regards
Markus
Hahaha it will, i also have this problem with a usual USB charger until i touch the frame.. or use the HTC charger
you can also fix this by charging it on your computer via USB...some say battery lasts even more
Can anybody tell me the phrases I need to use for the search to find the already existing themes to this phenomen?

If it's the same, try the link from my sig. It's the only touchscreen fix available and it was just confirmed that it works for problems like yours
WHO YA GONNA CALL??

I just had to XD
I had the same problem; used the aluminum foil method others alluded to and that fixed it.
is this issue still on the XE? or have they fixed it.
The HTC charger is defective!!! Do not use.
Get another micro USB charger. I picked up a Samsung micro USB charger from a friend and it works great. No more ghosting =)

I agree 100%, either tinky1's thread or zmlf's thread SHOULD be a stickie thread here. I mean the methods given in both threads have been more than proven that they work. I will send as mod a message myself also to see about getting one of the threads a stickie. So zmfl message me with the name of the mod you message and I will contact them too.

can someone make an app for me? or help in some other way?

hello all, i hope that i put this in the right section, and i apologize if it is not.
what i want is to be able to use my phone as a p.a. that is, i want to be able to have an app that will provide me with a screen that will have a big button that i can press and talk into my phone's mic and have the sound transmitted through the 3.5mm headphone jack or sent to a bluetooth music receiver. 4 programable small buttons woulds also be needed. i would like to use this for my emr pov. so that i could have the 4 buttons programed to various horns and sirens, and i know you might think it is goofy but on most of the roads in my range, a siren will be a major help to alert civilians about the accident around the bend. and the pa function is great for letting people know what to do well the vehicle is down the side of the mountain... no i am not kidding either. btw if you did not catch on, it will be hooked up to a p.a speaker outside my pov.
thanks for any and all help. if someone would be able to do this i could send a photoshop file of how i imagine it. and i did not say anything about paying because i have no idea what to offer. but let me know. i just cant afford to get a full p.a siren system right now since i am only doing this to help out the (2) local fire departments.

Pantech burst p9070

Ive just recently bought the Pantech burst p9070 and so far im impresst with the phone except for a couple of things like screen viability in the sun, HD pics & video and one of my favorites, HDMI. I very much do hope Pantech will add these great features to the burst soon. With that said is their a legitament root that works for the Pantech burst p9070 and are their any custom roms and kernels developed for this phone? I would love to know what you guys think about the phone. It seems to me its a playground of development and possibilitys waiting to happen but thats only my opinion but again some help with rooting would be greatly appreciated guys and thanks so much...

Guys, need help. I recently got a pantech burst and noticed one odd thing.
The micro USB port is different than most of my other devices, its kinda split on one side. Is it defective or normal? Can you check yours and confirm?
I am enclosing a picture for reference, tried my best to show what I see. Thanks.

Mine is also split, however the metals align together. If your jack goes in fine without any resistance, it should be fine? I dont know. You can try. If it doesnt go in fine, you can try taking a small screwdriver and pushing one of the metals (the one that "violated" the alignment) into the phone so they align better.
Thanks all for your comments. Looks like this has to go back to the seller for replacement.
BTW, I bought this off ebay from phonestoreusa. The seller is pretty responsive, anybody has first hand experience with him?
Thats where I got my pantech burst too. That was new.

I would guess its defective. Mine isn't and never seen one split before on any thing like that. Does it charge and seem to work? Maybe go to store you got it or any store actually and look at display model and show them.
Well when I replied there was no others? Oh well. Lol.

Mine also has the split however yours looks a little out of place (the gap looks wider) because in my case the two pieces are right next to each other and look perfectly in place.
What is your exact concern, are facing trouble while connecting to the port?

While the split is normal (part of the build) yours seem to have one portion out of alignment with the other. Check whether your phone charges properly.
Just wanted to update, I got a replacement from phonestoreusa. But seriously, the guy needs to reword his listing, no way the phones he is selling as "New" are new!
Can't connect to camera
My burst is rooted and right after I rooted it, I installed PAC-MAN ROM KK RC-3 dev 4.4.4.
The kernel version is 3.0.101-cyanogenmod-g83586a2

Now it will no longer connect to my camera nor my camera flash (ie: I can't use a camera or torch).
How can I remedy this situation?

Did you really need to spam these images all over the forums? post them once and the link to them if you must, after checking that your mod would actually be of use to the device whose forum you're posting in. The otg might work on a rooted N7 like yours but it's no good for the One S.

Ok done. It won't work for One S? I don't see why not. But let me check. Sorry about this, only meant to help.
Edit: So, it'll work if it has it's own power source. I'm going to make a power source on v.2 soon for you guys. Stay tune.

That's really cool. Thanks for the effort but I use this $0.80 cable adapter and it works just fine. No power needed with CM10. What's the point of DIY if the alternative is 80 cents? I'm really really not trying to thread crap I just don't get it.

Oh thanks, I'm really tire. Smallest form factor to prevent accident and obstruction. The best of all, the fun to mod.
Yeah but when the right way to do it is available commercially, then it just too much trouble and people run the risk of shorting out pins on their phones. Thread closed.

[Q] Can android phones power other devices?

Hi,
I know it's a too general and broad question, but I was hoping to get some clues or facts. Googling wasn't exactly fruitful with keywords like these.
I'm thinking of a project at my uni, and I kinda need to know would an average andriod phone be able to charge other devices via its USB port? Of course, if the answer isn't affirmative in general, maybe I could get some tips as to how could I find out which specific android smartphones are?
In any case, thanks for you time.
Cheers!

I'd also like to know. I'd like to power a secondary low-power (OLED) display, with data coming from the phone as well. Can it power an arduino?
Yes. Sometimes I charge my HTC one x+ using my nexus 7.
I use an OTG Cable (USB ON THE GO). I put the OTG cable on my nexus and connect my phone to it to charge it.
Please press the thanks button if I helped!
