can someone make an app for me? or help in some other way? - Android Apps and Games

hello all, i hope that i put this in the right section, and i apologize if it is not.
what i want is to be able to use my phone as a p.a. that is, i want to be able to have an app that will provide me with a screen that will have a big button that i can press and talk into my phone's mic and have the sound transmitted through the 3.5mm headphone jack or sent to a bluetooth music receiver. 4 programable small buttons woulds also be needed. i would like to use this for my emr pov. so that i could have the 4 buttons programed to various horns and sirens, and i know you might think it is goofy but on most of the roads in my range, a siren will be a major help to alert civilians about the accident around the bend. and the pa function is great for letting people know what to do well the vehicle is down the side of the mountain... no i am not kidding either. btw if you did not catch on, it will be hooked up to a p.a speaker outside my pov.
thanks for any and all help. if someone would be able to do this i could send a photoshop file of how i imagine it. and i did not say anything about paying because i have no idea what to offer. but let me know. i just cant afford to get a full p.a siren system right now since i am only doing this to help out the (2) local fire departments.

why don't you just get an amplifier?

[Q] Low music volume on earphones Galaxy S2

Hi,
Just converted to android from iphone.
When listening to music via earphones, im noticing the volume isnt that loud even when ive turned it up to the max (15).
Ive seen other posts explaining how to get into service mode and amend some volume settings, but this only applies to in call volume. Im looking to increase the volume when listening to music.
The current volume is def too low.
Bump.. Need help!
Using sennheiser cx180, getting amazing sound quality
any fix for this yet? really annoying!
bump
that makes two of us now. please someone nut this out
Bump. Same problem
Same problem here.
And another one here with same problem.
When I increase "Media volume" it only increases volume until it gets to about 50% on the bar, after that nothing happens when I continue to raise it to a full bar.
Bump same problem here, up full its about 3/4 the volume of my iPhone, its fine in quiet environments but and ambient noise at all and you hear it over this. Its just one of the many frustrations of this phone when it comes to music. Seriously thinking about eBaying it,
Cyanogen and MIUI teams are looking into porting their ROMs to the Galaxy S 2. That should fix everything
Hey guys is there a fix for this yet?? I am running lite'ning Rom and even before this the volume from music through the headset is so so low!!! In ambiant places like the bus or walking through the city u can forget talking to anyone or listening to music!!!
Is there anything that can boost it??? On my old iphone when i jailbreaked it i got an app that mad it very loud that i could not put it On full lol... Pls guys if anything please reply!!!! :-(
Anyone with any solotion to this please??? its the only real fault with the phone

Had the same problem...
Hey, I had the same problem with my unlocked Galaxy S II, The volume would not go up even at 15, same level of sound on all numbers. All I did was reboot it and now it works fine. you should try it too
seriously this is the phone that is apparently the 'best of 2011', yet it has such a huge glaring bug like this? To shock new buyers who were told this phone was great?
This is a dealbreaker. Volume on a phone matters. Why hasn't a solution been offered, or rather why is this such a concealed ill-discussed problem?
I don't think it's quite a bug or Samsung's fault. I've been using original Ipod earbuds from the Apple Store and they work like a charm. But when I try to use some sony headset, the sound is all noisy and it's quality sucks. I think that there may be a problem like drivers or something on how the signial is sent to the terminal.

BUMP!!
Same problem here, what is going on here??
I shouldn't have to root and mod my phone to be able to hear a call on the street or to listen to music. Which isn't a solution anyway.
WTF??
had anybody contacted samsung support?
Still nobody knows what is wrong?
My other media players, computers, hifis all play at ok volumes, so the problem is with the phone..
Any input appreciated

Can try this by SuperCurio. VoodooLOUDER is for SGSIIs but it is paid* and also Root.

Think right now that is about all that you will get w/o hardware hacks or something directly from Samsung.
I use Voodoo Control App on my GS1 with a Voodoo kernel and it works like a charm.
Voodoo + PowerAmp + Bose in-ears = Pure Sonic Enjoyment.
There are from what i know a few fixes for this (i think)
If you are running Cyanogenmod7.1 you have the DSP Equalizer that helps to boost the volume of your device.
Ive heard of a App on the market Called Volume plus (never used it but from searching on the internet ive heard of this)
And then if you are using Power Amp you can have full control of adjusting volume through the settings in the music player

Headphone Control...?

For anyone with a Senation already.
If anyone could be bothered...
Just wondering if a Headphone Controller app will work with the Sensation..??
I really want to get the iPhone version of the Sennheiser Headphones (PMX 680i Sports) which has the 4 ring controller along with Vol/Next Trk/etc and was wondering if this app works on the Sensation to allow that type of control.
(I think the HTC supplied phones have controls, but want better sound)
Really would like to know before diving in to the device. It would be great know if anyone has the knowledge or wants to try it out....
Cheers to all.
unfortuantly i do not have a wired headset with any button controls to test foe you. But i do use a couple of bluetooth headsets and the AVRCP is fully supported.
Not exactly what your after but may be of some interest to you
I have old Koss wired phones w/ controler i used with ipod and it doesnt work ... as for sennheiser, the bundled hs which came with my previous phone the HTC HD mini was from sennheiser so maybe even that one comming with sensation is

As of this moment, I can only confirm that the Play/Pause button on headphones designed for iPhone works normally on the Sensation without having to use Christoph Kober's Headset Button Controller app (which is really, really awesome in case anyone is wondering).
This is in contrast to, for example, the Nexus S I had before which would not properly recognize any button inputs at all. I had to use the controller app to get music working on that phone.
I'll reinstall the Headset Button Controller app and test it out with my girlfriend's iPhone earbuds tonight, and I'll get back to you once I confirm whether or not it reads the Volume Up and/or Volume Down buttons. I have the sneaking feeling that it won't, but hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised :]
Thx sosquidtaste
I really appreciate your effort.
There are a ton of really good headphones out there sold as iPhone capable with controllers that woud be great to be able to use them (working) on the Sensation. I can understand why they are marketed to the iphone folks, but it seems they miss a big chunk of the market by not working with other devices..
(I like the Sennheisers because they go around the back of your neck as one unit - not a big fan of bud style)
So, here's hoping!
Cheers

Sorry mate-- I just checked in the app's debug mode and confirmed that the Sensation still doesn't recognize anything but the center button on earbuds designed for iPhones. It was worth a shot!

Bugger...!
Appreciate the effort. I wonder why this is such an 'out there' thing? To me at least, it would seem logical for the OS to support something so, well, basic as headphone control. Wonder why there has been no 'universal format' for this type of thing.
....sigh.

Glad to help-- I was pretty curious about this too, given just how well the center button behaved even without the headset controller app. I just wish it turned up more encouraging results.
Competing platforms are great for the most part, except when small but important features get shot up in the crossfire ;(

Just curious, can this be changed when this bugger gets Rooted or S-Off or whatever the heck is done with the locks come off this thing..?

As I understand it, the control issue is related to specific hardware configurations in the headphone port of our phones so not even the most righteous of hacks will enable them to read input that they aren't wired to receive ;(
I'm no engineer though, so I'd be happy to be contradicted by someone in the know

So why I wonder, does the HTC specific Headphones work?
Do they use a different set of rules/hardware/ whatever...?

Anyone know or replaced the dire speaker ?

Guys, loving the N5 but HATE the speaker, i have run custom roms, tweaks but frankly - my opinion, dire !
Has anyone though about a replacement, better alternative ?
As gonna dive in and possibly take a look ?
Thanks
When have you EVER heard of replacing a proprietary speaker in a cell phone with an "alternative" or "upgraded" speaker? Let alone there even being one available?

This post is no different than the other 50 post complaining about the speaker in various ways. There are zip files to flash, kernels with sound management, and so on. I don't think anyone has attempted to replace the speaker, although they have stuck a hot needle into the holes to make them bigger Some guy has attempted to put the g2 battery into his nexus. You can be that guy attempting to put a new speaker in his nexus 5.
Good luck

Your obviously NOT an engineer and i would also guess, have not alot of foresight either, it's called lateral thinking, out of the box.
Kind regards

Dam bruh might as well add a subwoofer and a amp and stereo speakers man.

Yes, obviously I'm not an engineer; I'm just going by the years of experience with phones and NEVER seeing a "upgraded replacement" speaker available for a phone...ever. :good:
Couldn't you just plug in whatever external speaker system you desire? Coupled with V4A you'd have a nice music setup.
Just don't use the top 3 volume levels when using a 3.5mm accessory as it has serious cross talk issues.

trick bluetooth profile

i bought a belkin songstream bluetooth thinking i could hook it up in my car and it should work for the media but is there anyway to trick the phone to think it can output all audio (media, call, notifications...) through it?
It should be automatic when u pair however if you goto bluetooth settings and than the settings for the device in your paired list there is a check box for media audio. It should be checked when paired and connected

I think you are out of luck in terms of "changing the profile." The profile is set by the device you are connecting to. If the device being connected to doesn't support something then it won't work.
However, if you buy a Bluetooth receiver that has a mic on it, then all your calls will go through the Bluetooth device.
In addition, I don't know if you have the option, but when in a call, is there a "Bluetooth" button on the bottom right of the screen? If so try pressing it during a call. If that works, then you might be able to use root and xposed or some other method to turn that on on every call when connected to Bluetooth.

trick the phone into outputting call audio as media audio
Well actually this can be done. I am pretty sure it can unless there is something hardware related that prevents it. But I am almost 100 percent this can be done. I have done it with things like GPS navigation sounds and things like that, so if the software making the call uses Java, it can be done.
sooo whos going to give this a try hahaha

Lol, since I already did it for other things, I will take a look. I kinda wouldn't mind having the ability myself.
I will make it in the form of an xposed module.
This is how I plan to make it work:
When an app begins to output audio, my module will create a notification. Inside said notification will be three buttons.
Each button will be an audio source:
Phone, Media, System
Clicking on one will change the currently playing audio output source.

Sorry for off topic stuff, but I just can't figure it out.

I mean, like here:
You place a call, and see the "end call" button and the other buttons for like showing keypad etc
In the bottom left, you should see a "speakerphone" button, after clicking that, while connected to your bluetooth, does it route the audio to the bluetooth device?
I ask because if it follows the android code, it appears that it should route the audio to the bluetooth device.
I had said about forcing it using xposed, and when I do that, you don't hear anything at all lol. The other person cannot be heard. In addition, it doesn't appear to be changeable during a call, the option would have to be applied before a call is placed or before a call is accepted. Which, for your case, one could detect if a bluetooth device is connected that supports audio, and if so, force the call audio to that.
Honestly though, it would be much simpler to buy a bluetooth receiver that supports phone calls. I got one from eBay for 11 dollars and have hooked it into my car without any issues. I may even go about disconnecting the bluetooth mic and routing my car's mic to it instead for better audio quality.
As I stated before, it is possible to force it, just a lot more work involved then forcing other audio (like pandora etc).

O2 store. Worst marketing ever. Saw someone's comments on Facebook that they were selling them. Ordered and arrived a day later.
But on topic... Track control and now audible feedback is bloody non existent. For example long press doesn't give you the Google notification 'ping' to let you know you can start taking to Google Assistant.
And as above, no skip to previous track option.
Shame because their primary function, as earphones, they are bloody good for the money. Comfy as well.
Presumably, as no one has them yet (or very few) this question may stay unanswered for some time.
However, does anyone know whether, in theory, there's scope for changing this should Oneplus feel so inclined?

Presumably this is only for locally stored music? I really wanted this functionality to work with Spotify.
Also I've just tried it. The three clicks does not skip to previous track I am afraid.

Just to be clear, we are on about the wireless bullets here.
I've tried Google Play Music, VLC and JetAudio and it works with none of them so I'm not sure why I'm getting these sort of responses.
The WIRED version works with everything. Even Spotify if you know how.
But the WIRELESS earbuds do not. The functionality does not appear to be supported at present.
So, can anyone actually tell me a) whether in theory it's possible, or better still, b) if they've managed to do it and if so how?
Also looking for a solution on this!

At this point I'll take a theoretical solution I. E. Can it be done.
I'm absolutely baffled by the decision however
Have posted this as a bug with OnePlus because I can't get my head around this UI decision.
