As i said before, i would recommend You to flash a GB ROM version to begin with. Flashing ROM is very easy.
Here are the steps:
Place the ROM on SD card
Place a Wipe script on SD card
Boot in recovery mode
select install zip from sdcard
Select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of Wipe script (DON'T CHOOSE REBOOT!!!)
select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the ROM
After flashing is complete, reboot the device.
Good luck

Honestly.....read, read, and then read some more. Before I ever rooted for the first time on my trusty og Droid, I read information for about a week. You shouldn't flash anything until you feel comfortable doing so. If this comes off rude I'm sorry, it's not my intention, just some friendly advice. Good luck and happy flashing.

If You have any doubts just read and ask, no rush. It's very easy, just follow the steps and everything will be OK

Oh,yes, one more thing. Will I loose all my contacs and other stuff?Do you recomend any kind of backup?Hopefully will not mess up the rom after restore.

Sync your contacts with gmail account and when you boot new rom just sync again with gmail and your contacts will be back.

When I got my first android phone, after years of Nokias, it took some time before I realised how much simpler it was with synced Gmail contacts.

How to sync with gmail?PLS instructions.

One more tip: use titanium backup to backup and restore apps + sys data

Backup existing ROM, flash the zip, enjoy. If you want to find out how primo s is check out the thread for that particular ROM. I remember that the camera, wifi hotspot and usb tethering are not working
Is there any danger involved in it such as emmc chip.fried or something like that ???

No. If you don't pull the battery while the phone is running you won't fry your emmc.
Just backup your current system from recovery, do a full wipe (not sd card!!) And flash the ROM zip from recovery. If you unlocked with htcdev you need to flash the boot.img separately afterwards. Reboot. Done. It's simple like that.

Its a beta ROM, with quite a few features not working (like camera)... so there are issues, including random reboots once in a while...
It's not great, its only meant to give you a taste of android 4.0 just wait for the correct kernels to provide fixes for issues

i encountered the problem of corrupted theme of 4ext. im not sure how it happened. maybe because i flashed CM10.1 then returned back to ViperS ICS? not sure bout that. its not really a problem but its quite annoying to press okay every time i boot into recovery. hehe

Does the rom boot? If so just use the 4ext app to flash a new theme. That should overwrite whatever is corrupted. If that doesn't work reflash the recovery entirely. You can do that from the app too.
If that doesnt work comeback with a more detailed description of exactly what you get.

There is an app for 4ext. Its available for download on the play store. Its an absolute must have app if you use 4ext recovery. It makes life so much easier.

Back up rom

What the simplest way to back up the Rom that's on my sensation before I flash it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
I think you mean to say back up the old ROM before flashing a new one?
You perform a NANDROID backup. For this, you need to go to recovery, and select the backup option.
If the Sense version & Android versions of both ROMs is the same, wipe Cache +Dalvik from recovery before flashing the new ROM. If you want to revert back, Wipe Cache + Dalvik from recovery again and then flash the Old ROM.
Yes a nandroid back up is what I'm referring too.so I go into recovery select back up option to back up the old Rom.what do you mean by if sense version and the Android version of the Rom is the same? How do I know if the 2 are the same?you said to wipe cache& dalvik from recovery before flashing the new Rom.and if there not the same then what do I do?would you please explain.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
What I meant to say was that if the Android software version (for example 2.3.4 (Ginger Bread) or 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) ) & the HTC Sense software version (for example Sense 3.5, Sense 3.6, Sense 4.0) are same for the old ROM that was installed and the new ROM that you want to install, it is sufficient to wipe Cache + Dalvik.
If they are not the same, then you need to format all partitions except SD Card.
To wipe Cache + Dalvik or to Format all partitions:
Switch off your phone.
Remove and re-insert the phone battery.
Press Vol down + Power key to boot to bootloader.
Select Recover.
Choose the option Format | Wipe
Select the action you need to perform.
I'm running a sense Rom right now but I'm going to install a non-sense Rom that why I need to know the difference between a sense and a android version is a Android version a Rom without sense?I don't know how to determine if there the same because if they are I just wipecache & dalvik.what about if there not the same then what do I wipe or do?

If you go to Settings > About phone > Software Information , you can find android version and sense version information is available there.
If you are switch to a Senseless ROM, format all partitions.

First download the universal 3.33 firmware then you install it from the bootloader.

To put the firmware on your device put the pg58img file on root of sd card then reboot into bootloader by removing battery put battery back in, press volume down and power your device will recognize the file and ask to upgrade volume up for yes. It will upgrade then remove the file off the sd card or it will continue to want to update. This is how you install firmware
It seems like a lot but once you do it you won't forget.

Don't know why it's still not booting? You followed all the directions and seemed to have done everything correctly that I know of. Hopefully someone else has more ideas. Well, once you're s-off you should install a custom recovery so you could install custom roms. I suggest 4Ext recovery (see my signature for the link) . After that you should Nandroid (e.g complete backup) you phone through the recovery. It will create a large file in your SD card which contains a full backup of your phone. Later you can install whatever rom you wish. I suggest you begin with Android Revolution HD - it looks like stock but it contains latest kernels, mods and tweaks.
