[GAME IDEA] time crisis style arcade rail shooter

hi guys
i remember having a game called time crisis in my local arcade and on my playstation 2 around 8 years ago and i would love to see a game like this on a touch screen.
for those of you who have never seen/heard/played time crisis, watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJgpJ1VWtxk
the light gun mechanism is hard to explain, but irrelevant since in this port it would be good if you could just poke people in the face to shoot them.
it could also use the inbuilt accelerometer/g-sensor as a replacement for the arcade pedal. eg flip the phone away from you to duck and reload.
ideas if anyone fancies a go at making something like this?
they already have made an official Time Crisis game on the iPhone..like 2 years ago now lol. i wish there was ANYTHING like this for Android OS though!

[Q] Gaming?

I bought this phone for my wife and didn't think it would impress me as much as it has. The screen is simply amazing and now I'm thinking of purchasing this phone. The only thing that is keeping me from buying it is the lag when I play some games. Is anyone here a big player of games like Grave Defense, Guns n Glory, Robo Defense, etc? Pretty much tower defense games. Those are really the only types of games I play besides the occasional angry birds and homerun battle 3d. I played Robo defense on my wifes phone and it started lagging which doesn't happen on my older droid incredible.
I'm hoping maybe rooting fixes the lag problem on these type of games. Or maybe the new EE4(I think that's the name) update? Or maybe this phone just isn't that good for gaming? Either way this phone is still really good for most people, just being the tech nerd I am I want to make sure I am able to play these types of games for the next couple of years. They don't seem that graphically demanding, that's why I was surprised with the lag when playing robo defense on my wifes phone...What do you guys think? Should I hold out for something else? Thanks in advance for reading my longer then needed post, but what do you expect on a Friday night (alcohol cough* cough* )

If you root and install the app "Chainfire3d" games will run much better. Found this out today thanks to Tornlogic. I haven't tried it on my Charge yet, others have and said positive things. I tried it on my Droid 2 and it improved gaming. I'm getting a replacement charge due to a spot on the screen, once I get the new one I'll be rooting and installing this.

Played with an Xperia Play - Nice

Had the chance to mess around a little bit with several phones: HTC Sensation, Samsung Infuse and Sony Xperia Play. The best of them, in my opinion, is the Sensation, but the Xperia was a very nice phone. It felt well-crafted, solid and sleek. Elegant also. I couldn't play very much with it, but I did try to play a game. The first game I saw was Asphalt 6 and I found that apparently only Sony Playstation specific games will use the slide-out controls. I saw Crash Bandicoot but didn't have enough time to load it and play. But just from what I did wit it, I would love to own an Xperia.

Symphony of the Eternity officially Xperia PLAY Optimized! Menus and all!

So if you don't know already, KEMCO has been non-stop dropping awesome RPGs on Android. If I recall correctly, these are the same people behind a lot of awesome classics like Shadowgate, Deja Vu, the Sword of Hope series and Dragon View.
Their first Android hit, however, was Symphony of the Eternity, which is currently at a near-perfect rating of 9/10.
Just by having some general keyboard compatibility, you could already control movement and NPC interaction with the Xperia gamepad, but it was imperfect because you'd still have to use the touch screen for almost everything menu related... but as of this latest release (1.0.8) it's completely Xperia PLAY Optmized! Menu control, quick map, and even the game launcher... everything works with the Xperia PLAY controls now!
It's a fantastic throwback - but has a deep enough class/technique system so that it doesn't feel outdated or RPG-Maker-ish. I beat it already, but I think this just made me happy enough to beat it one more time and master all skills with all characters!
Only $2.99, CHECK IT OUT!
I'm hoping Alphadia's up next. Put some Xperia PLAY controls on that and I'll keep the tradition going of me buying every KEMCO RPG.
Certainly now I will try it again. I bought it for the SGS, didn't beat it because it was too hard to use the touch controls, and I've been hoping to use the Play's ones. The ridiculous dialogs will not disappear though...
Seems like a pretty solid RPG in good old retro style. How I loved Shadowgate when I was little! In fact I played through it again just a month ago.
This one reminds me a fair lot of Lufia 2 for the SNES. The battle system that is. They must have taken inspiration from it. Thanks for your youtube vids! How long did it take for you to finish this game? I'm on my second Chrono Trigger playthrough at the moment and don't want to start another time consuming game before I finish it. Now I'm off to bring Crono back on Death Peak!
Looks like a game made with an old version of RPG Maker... :/
Zenonia 1, 2 and 3 are much better.
This one is a JRPG Old School game and it is fantastic in its plot and gameplay!
I love Zenonia Series, but these two are completely different in genre so you just can't compare them together.
I managed to beat it since the very first xperia play optimize released, at the time when you have to use both touch screen and d-pad on xperia game pad. The control was kinda annoyed but its story and gameplay drove me to the end of the game.
Recommended for any JRPG lovers. This one is full of twists!
Wow, the new update adds voices and makes special attacks more dramatic.
Sounds like a small thing, but the game feels a lot more "defined" now. It actually feels like it's own thing instead of just a FF clone.
