It's fast but still observing battery life waiting my phone to charge to 100% then will see...
Edit: i could say this one is better for me came from KL2 modem....data, gps is good like KL2 and battery life last longer compared to KL2
(serendipity 2.3.3 rom with gb infusion kernel running 1.4ghz)

Had to switch back to KL2. My data was very spotty on this modem.

guys please report back back with battery life, thanks

78% left after 9 hours unplugged, using my phone as a Mobile Kindle all day.

Battery life on par with kl2, seems better than lb1. Not much different from kl2 as far as speed (central Texas).
Zeus b5.2

Battery life does seem good. Been unplugged now for 6 hours, and down to 92%. As catchpen said, seems on par with KL2 for battery and speed.

which rom are you on?

gmiui. flashing modems didnt affect the phone till i flashed this one

Don't have precise numbers, but this modem seems to retain all the benefits of UCLB1 ( at least in my experience ) but battery life has been quite noticeably better. My phone ran very warm on LB1 and consumed quite a bit of juice on cell standby. Not so on this one. Experiencing no problems with data or service in the three days since I've flashed it.

@OP: Thanks mate for keeping the naming convention in lines with the modems in modems thread.

This is cheating a bit, since I have been near my computer enough to just check email there everyday, and I had wifi and data turned off most of the time. But I took a few calls, uploaded some files, checked GPS, etc. enough to consider this to be legitimate use for me.
Anyway, here's my screen shot - running Serendipity 6.4, Onix 2.0.1 kernel (working so well, why move to 2.0.5), and JQ1 modem. I really only kept the phone on at night so I could get a nice screen cap like this.
Edit: Standard battery that came with the phone.
heres a new one...
Nice... it would be more useful to include the amount of time spent on Display and such.

My battery lasts around 8 hours a day. I listen to Pandora for about an hour, browse web apps, and have several email accounts so not really a surprise.
I am running Firefly 3.0 with lag fix enabled and battery mod enabled which has given me about an extra hour a day over stock.

It's not actually called battery mod, basically it's in cwm. You go in to the settings and before you get to lag fix there is a battery fix that you can apply. Should have explained that better at first, still learning terms and such.

Which modem do you find the best?

Personally, out of KE3, KI3, KJ2, and KK1 I find KI3 the best. What about you guys?
EDIT: Just retried KK1 and KE3. KK1 is still dreadful, KE3 got 6.3 down oon first speedtest - sticking with KE3.
EDIT 2: Tried T959VUVKH1, fastest modem I've tried.

Its in my signature. Plus, its the first modem after KJ1 not to have the 4 hour clock moving head issue when set to auto date and time.
KI3 has been most reliable for me in San Diego, CA
From this thread I might give KK1 another flash...

I did not even notice them both haha. I'm just amazed at this modem, except for me it is eating the battery a little faster but I usually have my data turned off if I'm not using it.

The place where I live, it takes about 2% an hour in idle. I will give this modem some time to settle in and then see how the battery is faring. Signal wise, this is better. And better signal generally translates to better battery.
trying out KK1 now, will post results later
Using kk1 today at 330am at 100% battery. Used 3% in 6 hours idle, then did heavy browsing and watched 2 movies. A few FB checks, angry birds for 30 min, quick browsing throughout the day.
Its 1107 now and im at 30% battery.
S7 rom with background data off with wifi and gps on/off throughout the day.

After flashing modem, try rebooting twice, and see if that helps. Not sure why, but this seems to help. And then try to see which band you are on with *#*#0011#*#*. Could be a case where you are stuck on 1900 instead of 850.
Started off on a KI3, upgraded to a J2 and have been content ever since...anybody else recommend the KK1? Otherwise, don't see the need to fix what's def not broken...

Be warned, though, of the slightly higher battery drain on KK1 when on standby. But this would be negated by the fact that it has better signal (didn't drop even in lift and I could hear the other person crystal clear; normally it either used to drop calls or just hold on with no voice transmission) and slightly higher speeds. Plus considering we have charger at work and car and home.
T959VUVKH1 is really fast...

losing battery very quickly

Hey guys for some reason no matter what from and especially on Zeus I lose alot of battery on standby even in the miui 2.3.9 which is supposed to use alot less battery usually i keep wifi on even on standby and in one hour i lost 8% I have flashed different Roms numerous times and still keep on losing alit of battery on standby and when I do use the internet on wifi it drains around 1% every 3 min or less

Have you tried a different rom? That one should have pretty good battery life though. If you are doing EVERY single thing that, that thread suggests.. you should be able to have your battery last for a week.. He takes it to the extreme. VERY well done though.

You seem to be the only one having this problem and if it's when you try other roms as well then it's probably a hardware issue.

Battery life ics

What ics ROM have you guys the best results for battery life? On AOKP, I'm getting like 8 hours with 20% left. I don't use data because it kills the battery fast.

Prepare to be flamed for asking this question. Not sure why, but everyone seems to get their underwear in a bunch when this question is asked. Just a heads up.
Anyway, I had the same problem as you. I had the exact same setup as I did on CM9, but had much worse battery life, even after multiple fresh installs. I also don't have any widgets or many apps that sync very often. It seems that you just have to wait for the OS to "soak in." Make sure that you wait at least 10 minutes before doing anything after you flash the ROM. Just let your phone sit. After that, you can go into settings and tweak the phone. Also, try to go into the power saver settings, and setting sync to turn off after a set amount of time (I put 15 minutes), and for data to either turn off or turn to 2g mode after x amount of time.
Also, I'm sure you know the obvious.. turn off wifi/data/gps/bt/etc. if you're not using it. Set brightness to low or automagical.
I began with ~7 hours of battery life, and got to ~14 hours. Typically I don't have to be on battery power for 14 hours, and I tend to end up having ~35% of battery life after a full day of use.
Well I'm just asking how everybody uses their phone and hoe much they can get with it. Not saying that the battery life just sucks. I'm supportng my battery life with details
And i don't use many widgets either. I took off my live wallpaper too,i waiting to see how that works out

How is your signal where you live? Do you use your phone as a mp3 player? Have you seen this yet?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S/SGH-T959V/Why_is_media_server_using_my_battery
Not everybody will get the same battery life. If you are getting good battery on another ics rom and not another it is user error. Even if you are getting good life on gb and that kind of life on a ics it is a user error. Next time just flash and dont restore any data at all.
My battery life problems are pretty much not there anymore. I'm running AOKP M6B3, and getting 16 hours with 25% left, mild data usage, Facebook, GMail push, GVoice push, always on 4G and wifi on too.
I think the key was a Heimdall to stock, then to AOKP.
Yep. That's what I've been recommending to people complaining with battery on CM9 and AOKP to do. My battery life is great, and I use GR every time I go to a new build.
Well, to be fair, I went stock to AOKP M6B1, installed apps. Then just did an upgrade flash to B2. But still, much better battery life.

I'm running M6 version/beta 3. Gremlin remover does work but I did not do that I flashed over remics and doing great. I clear the battery stats and use all aokp features such as turn off wifi data when screen is off. I also have auto bright on and screen time out after 15 seconds. You also want to stay away from rebooting to much that will kill the battery and I also heard task killers drain the battery.

i've had my 727 for about a year now with multiple flashes. if in deep sleep, battery life is VERY good, i'm talking 2-4% attrition an hour tops. but under usage, 15 minutes will drop me 7-10% depending on what i'm doing. does anyone have this same issue?

Sounds about right for me then. There is definitely some battery capacity loss as it drains a bit faster than a year ago.
i leave LTE on at all times, brightness between low and auto, and my total screen time will be around 1.5-2 hours max.

the only way to get above 2 hours onscreen time is to heavily under volt, -75mV or above if u can. if you aren't already, you're missing out. Battery gains for no performance loss.

I just wanted to say that I installed TFQ Lightning zap kernel on top of vincoms SUPERLITE, and used his recommended underclock / undervolt / governor / io settings. I will report back in a few days once I've had a few runs with this setting.
super lite is a good, stable ROM, no bells and whistles, only what u need for a dd. lightning kernel is stable, and I recommend either voltage control or incredicontrol.

Im using Mohans latest Embryo 6.1 and tried both of the voltage controls you referred to and incdredicontrol gave me messages that stated there was a conflict with the kernel. I Installed voltage control but it appears the minimum I can set it is 192 mhz which is the same settings in the performance tweeks portion of the rom. I read earlier that it could be taken as low as 75. Any idea what I might be overlooking.
