PLEASE PLEASE HELP
I have an Android 2.2 Tablet 10" mid - CORTEX A8 with 1GHZ Processor and 512MB 2G Wifi.
4-5 Months ago (just after 3-4 months old), my tablet won't boot. I tried all the ways, but it seemed I had some trouble with the firmware. The seller (DinoDirect) is not willing to help because it is almost 9-months old. I contacted them 3 months ago (when it was just 6 months old), but they denied saying the product has been discontinued and they cannot get firmware.
Does anyone who has bought the same or similar tablet, have the firmware for the tablet mentioned above or is there any other way I can save my tablet? Please help.
Dinodirect is only selling chinaware without any quality. These china manufacturers can clone every bit of tecnology but when its servicing, your money is gone. If you are from India there are faint chances of getting it done at a wayside mobile repairer, elsewhere its tricky. Try a hard or factory reset if you can. If that doesnt help, go to recovery mode and reset to factory. Mostly its a software issue.
Thank you for your response.
To be honest, I did find this tablet very good. This tablet has 1GHz Processor and rotates the screen just like an iPad, in all directions. I just hate to throw it in the trash when I had some great time with it. I have an iPad2 but still I miss this tablet.
It was stupid of me to connect it to my PC and download some files to read them. During that time, the tablet was powered down because of low battery. After which, it can be charged (shows red indicator), but it does not boot up even when holding power button.
DD customer service recommended again to get it repaired locally....
Any other suggestions?
Best regards.

its been only 26 days I purchased this phone. I was very happy to buy this phone, but it didn't lasted long. I have to take this phone to Samsung Service Centre after a week due to OTA 5.1.1 update failed. Samsung Service Centre personnel had flashed 5.1.1 using ODIN and I thought everything will be fine but I am experiencing the below problems frequently
Multiple times screen freezes and no option other than soft reset (volume down + power button).
in gallery, pictures taken through camera, the picture becomes green and all its pixels gets disturbed. happened for at least 5 pictures.
in idle / standby mode, phone will not wake up only led light flashes & screen remains black. Only option for me is to soft reset.
sometimes fingerprint unlock doesn't work (there is a message that says the same) and I have to enter the backup password manually.
Phone restarts by itself at-least couple of times (2-3 times) in a day in home network, while roaming it is pathetic.
Phone restarts while using camera, opening Google play, opening Google maps, any software application.
Phone restarts while in safe mode also (suggested by one of customer support executive to monitor my phone in safe mode)
Phone restarts during a call, this happened twice

Seems like a broken update install. Go to the service center again and list them all the problems thats been happening with valid proof. They will again flash the OS and give it back to you. It might possibly go but most probable that it won't, so repeat the same thing until they take it seriously so that they give you either a refund or replacement or a proper repair! The problem is, Samsung India never does replacements!
Reflash is needed otherwise have Samsung replaced your S6.
update on 30-July-2015
I am just got my S6 checked with Samsung Service Centre. The personnel has understood my problem clearly and told me that he will reflash the IMEI that will make the phone to Factory OS and then he do some random hardware test and then flash the Adroid ROM.
But unfortunately, IMEI flash failed giving errors. he says there is a problem with PBA and it has to be replaced, in other words he says it is a Mother Board issue.
[What is PBA issue? if IMEI flashing fails will imply a hardware problem?]
So, at-last it is figured out that there is a hardware problem. They asked me to go for a Service Warranty and get the Mother Board replaced. But I didn't agree to the Service Warranty. I asked for a replacement. They say, they can't help me out on phone replacement, I need to check with Direct Customer Centre team.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Any updates after this? Samsung India will never give in a replacement! NEVER EVER. I've tried arms and legs for my previous samsungs even within just 28 days but still they never did. They keep on insisting that the quality of repair will be excellent and i don't need to worry etc etc. Also, once you lose your 7 day window, you aren't eligible for a DOA. But, with increasing complexities in smartphone hardware, its difficult to replicate an issue within 7 freaking days! Please let us know what happened with your phone now! And yea, PBA is nothing but "printed board assembly" which is that green electrical board with all circuits and capacitors and other ICs.

Thanks for the follow up & sorry for the late response.
Yes, after this, I had to go through a difficult time. First they insisted me to go through repair, which i denied. After justifying the problems and pain that I was going through, they offered me a new handset as a replacement. When went to see this new replaced handset, the box is of dirt and a pen mark. It was looking like a potential tampered set. When questioned about this, they responded that they are giving a new handset and the dirt on the box is of mishandling by office boy & delivery person. When Opened the box, i was shocked to see the dirt hand print on the warrant card box also, & more disturbing is that there was dirt on the screen of the phone.
It was hard to believe myself, this was happening to me and for a one month old phone. When I rejected the new handset and demanded my money back. Again they took several days for process and finally did a refund. After nearly 2 months, a happy ending.
As I was in love with S6, did 2500 rupees insurance valid for 2 year, bought tough Armor case from Sipgen & Spigen Screen Gaurd, both together I spend around 3500 rupees. Tough Armor and screen guard are not used at all, now got wasted. Need to find someone who can use the same.
Now, I am back to my SII, which is still a reliable phone for me. SII is loaded with 5.1.1 which is being developed by Lysergic Acid. Thanks for his contribution and support.
S6 & services in India made me to think of moving to iOS. New Samsung devices with New Android features are being developed, but the core OS is not stable. Now, it is time for Android developers to concentrate on OS Stability, battery consumption so that people like me should feel secured when using new phones with new Android versions.
I thought it important to share this experience.
Background:
I purchased my tablet in Sept 2012, unlocked it, and after awhile, settled on a CleamRom version that hit the sweet spot and left it that way for 3 years. Recently I got curious about the current custom ROM's and, forgetting what I used to know, screwed up and soft-bricked the tablet. I recovered it by pushing the stock firmware back onto it, but that process relocked the tablet.
I tried the unlock tool for weeks but just kept getting the dreaded "network connectivity issue" error. I contacted Asus customer support, and to my surprise, they (EmmaZhang) tried to help. She said they reset something at the Asus database and to try again, unfortunately I had the same result.
I was told to get an RMA and send the tablet in (N American service center, Grapevine, TX), and with some reluctance, I did as advised. After about a week or so, I got an email with an invoice for $341 to replace the motherboard and I had to pay or they would send the tablet back. I had packed the tablet extremely well and was sure there was a mistake. Weeks of back and forth emails ensued, I won't get into the level of frustration I experienced with the different and frankly ignorant responses I received from them but I was told that the tablet would not boot to the OS, and the only way to proceed was to replace the motherboard, and I was constantly urged to pay the invoice amount or they would send the tablet back. I was also told emphatically that they do not help with unlocking a device (what's up with that EmmaZhang ?) Eventually, they got tired of my protests and sent the tablet back.
Guess what? The tablet boots just fine, it's exactly as it was when I sent it in, and to my surprise, the unlock tool worked first time, and I am happily running ZombiPop with 9000 Quadrant scores. What is my take on this? The level of incompetence and/or lack of communication would have to be so high that I can't believe it. I can only believe that this was a deliberate attempt to defraud me of $341, and I wonder how many times they've done this.
Believe want you want, but again, I thought it was important to bring this experience to light.

I've had similar happen with ASUS notebook repair. There are plenty of horror stories to be found on the net about that.
I sent in a notebook because of a defective LCD and they replaced the LCD with one that had a deep gouge in it. As if it had been sliced with a knife.
HI
My wife's phone (i9300 galaxy S3) has gone wrong and it went off without battery.
I found a new battery, but it lasted only one day. I thus decided to take it for repair,
as I think that this is the charge connector that is broken, but actually, the tech told me that it was probably the motherboard,
as when it used a tool to plug it to the direct charge ports on the side, the phone only bootlooped.
Thing is:
My wife's phone wasn't using cloud or external SD,
it was not rooted.
I tried some android toolkits to connect it, but odin or adb don't detect it, so I have no chance to try and put some new kernel on it.
It has no recovery mode, and when in download mode (1st screen), it actually doesn't last long before it reboots anyway.
Choosing some option will also make it reboot.
So I think it is failed beyond software repair.
But if you have suggestion for this (the tech was at a small street stall and I don't expect him to be high level, no offense, but he seemed to only perform two repairs, screen and charge flex boards, so not much more able than me if he can't go beyond this), feel free?
So my second question is :
Does anyone know how to retrieve the internal storage of the phone without breaking it, and reinstall it in a working way on a new motherboard?
Or alternatively, on an emmc reader such as those used for raspberry cards and so on? (I don't want to put some link, I don't want my message to be filtered)
The photos on this chip are priceless for us, and I would even pay professional to retrieve these (I would prefer not having to, because money doesn't exactly come cheap to me, but I guess I won't be able to make it alone.
So if you know some repair service in Europe that would be able to perform such task, I would be grateful for your sharing of such knowledge.
I saw an alternative in malaysia, but it feels a little too far for being able to do something in case of problem.
Thanks for your attention and time.
Im posting this here in hope to get an answer to my issue.
I sold my 2 year old samsung tab T813 on ebay recently. The buyer said it kept rebooting and the battery life was bad, this had never, ever happened in 2 years of owning it. So they returned it and ebay refunded them.
The issue I have is they FRP locked the tablet to their google account. I boot it up and type the buyers phone number and it sends a code to their mobile phone. The buyer will not give me this code as she thinks I am hacking her...ie.. she is worried and unsure as to what im talking about. Anyway, the comms were fine until ebay refunded her. The moment she got refunded she ignores all my messages.
So where do I stand now in terms of getting this tablet into functioning order again?
None of my computers detect the tablet even in download mode. Well, it charges the tablet but ODIN don't recognise the tablet so I cannot flash firmware.
I have tried numerous computers, different MS operating systems, numerous odin versions, numerous micro USB cables (inc original), numerous hours with no luck.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

FRP is locked when you try modifying and playing with your system without unlocking your bootloader and Hence RIP..........
if the person (who you sold on ebay) did it, report it immediately. if you did it, so uhh.... you are responsible for that.
Solutions:
wipe internal storage and cache from recovery
rest my knowledge ends here

The last owner set up their google account during setup of the tablet.
You say wipe internal storage and cache from recovery. Don't that still render the tablet useless? ie.. will need to reload a firmware onto it? well.. another problem.. None of my micro usb cables work with odin to any of my computers. Apparently common problem on the TAB S2.
Hello all,
My 1 year old note 20 ultra bougth on wondamobile because it was cheaper that in my country and had the snapdragon version.
Just got this HUGE problem, i was watching a youtube video and the screen just got black all of a sudden, and for 2 days never lit up again.
I live in Europe and Samsung says they wont cover the warranty of it as it wasnt purchased in Europe.
This is completely ridiculous, the phone costed 1300 euros, top of the line.
And now all of the sudden just dies.
I have tried all the methods online and none of them works, conecting a hdmi usb c cable to the screen, the iphone conects but i can only see the hours and a lock, cant unlock the phone, even tried with a mouse and keyboard using a usb c hub and nothing works.
Anyone knows a real fix for this?
as a new screen is 400 € and i dont want to pay this value.
This never happened specialy with a high end phone.
The N20U has had some display issues... Sorry.
Likely the display, could be a connector, battery or mobo failure.
See if you have legal recourse, otherwise lean all over Samsung like a cheap suit.
In the end you may need to do it out of pocket.
Last drama free rollout from Samsung was the N10+Snapdragon (new ones still available for $800). I got a second one because of Samsung's and Android 11/12's lack luster performance.
Some don't think it's that bad...
I sure do, which why I stepped back and rejected 5G, variable rate displays, no flagships SD card slots and one of the most dysfunctional Android OS's ever released.
I'm in a holding pattern running on P and Q until the fallout settles. Minimum 1-2 years perhaps longer.
This problem also happens in the note 10, s20 and others.
The biggest issue is that its a phone from South Korea and im In Europe so the warranty isnt valid.
Was so happy with it until now. Its not the 5g, neither the Android version.
According to what i read this issue is caused due to the one ui 3.1 update.
Because if it was a screen problem the touch wouldnt even respond to touches and it does respond.
Battery was at 81 percent went this happened, and the mobo for sure is good as i can conect the phone to screen and see it like Dex problem is the phone is locked so i cant unlock it even using this option.
And once again as the screen is locked it isnt recognized by usb so no program will work to get the data out of it or try any solution using dex.
As its a version bougth in Sk when i called the assistence they say they cant even do nothing because they only get parts for European phones and that parts are diferent, but the screens must be the same in both versions what differs is the mobo.
This is giving me headaches
Are you saying the update is causing hardware failures or that the black screen is not hardware damage but a just firmware issue?
The phone was working fine.
Until with the last updates the wi fi got inconsistent and i have the best and fastrst internet in my country.
Also as in this image shows the phone does work , problem is i cant unlock it. If i could probably could reset the software.
As the screen only had a minor scratch, so it was never damaged.
Now a 1300 euros phone is just a paper weigth
If it's a firmware you may be able to pull up the boot menu... and go from there.
This is beyond my skillset but it's not a paperweight yet.
I tried it all.
Would be easy if it worked via usb or via dex.
But its stuck in it.
This is a Samsung problem on the latest phones.

Try letting it fully discharge until auto shutdown if possible.
Physically disconnect the battery, hard reset.
Try some Google searches to find more options.
You might need to pay a repair shop or Samsung to fix it.
It wont shut down. Its like this for 2 days
Removing the battery will be dificult also.
Yeah its going to cost 400 euros for a phone npw worth near 900 or less altough its unlocked.
Will never buy a flagship again.
You don't need to remove the battery, just disconnect it. Watch a tear down vid.
You need a heat gun or pad, anhydrous isopropyl alcohol to help break the rear cover adhesive, plastic picks and perhaps some drivers maybe not. A new OEM rear cover seal.
A good phone repair shop can easily do this for you. Start there and see what you got.
The QC was solid on the N10+ Snapdragon but less so after especially on the S21U.
If the display needs to be replaced that should be the end of your problems with it.
Not perfect but what are you gonna do?
With Samsung, all phones it's best to wait 6 months and see what crops up. Otherwise it's more of a gamble.
I was indeed going to buy the note 10 plus back then but then i saw the n20 and all the advertisement and let myself into the hype.
Even bougth first a oneplus 8 pro but it got stolen in spain and i was refunded
Well going to try for one more day and see if it comes back to life, wich seems like a dream rigth now.
In last case will try a techician but its going to be expensive as this is a korean phone in europe.

May not be as bad as you think.
Shop around. Getting the right replacement parts is critical. I know on the 10+ the C port pcb, cam module, and obviously the mobo are different and not interchangeable, not sure about the display!
Lol, found out the hard way with the C port pcb, there are 2 variants for the Snapdragon! My C port wasn't bad but was replacing the battery so decided to do the C port for $20 more. No cell service, no internet... put the original one in, back in service. Rather irritating
Ricky tricky Sammy...
This seems to be a design fault so Wonda should honour a repair or replacement. I would pursue it with them.
I also have a N20U SD HK version bought from them but it's only 6 months old.
I take it their warranty is just one year then?
Yes its only one year. And i bougth last october
And the problem is that i live in europe, wonda mobile is from china.
I dont know if its a design flaw or update problem as the phone magicaly started to work witouth the screen theme i had but i puted it down and the screen once again went off.
The phone was working back again for 10 minutes and black out again.
So the screwn migth be good.
I got a message saying the one ui stoped working when i used dex.
Dex mode with a usb c hub now works, but i cant put the phone back to stock while in dex.
Its in portuguese language but what it says in the message is that a one ui error happened.
This after the screen black out again.
In dex i cant put firmware back to stock but can update the firmware.
This is just stupid a 1300 phone with a faulty screen or software problem.
Cant figure it out. As the touch isnt working while is conected to dex, only worked using a mouse and keyboard.
But the touch worked when the screen went back on even for 10 minutes.
So if it works on dex it cant be mobo or battery.
If its the screen i will be 400 euros in pain.
Who would guess this n20 purchsee on wonda mobile would be a nigthmare
Likely a hardware issue...

But how if it works in dex mode, everything works in dex mode, internet, cameras as well, games open, so the mobo cant be bad.
Guess the crap screen is gone for once, as it was only on for 10 minutes. Or maybe something disconected as i droped like 2 or 3 weeks ago but that cant be checked witouth opening.

When I said hardware I was implying the display.
It still could be a loose/bad connector as well.
The mobo's not entirely ruled out yet but a less likely candidate.
This seems to have happened to a lot of other people too, and some of them have said the display has come back on.
Samsung need to get a grip and offer some advice to affected cusomers.
For sure it seems the display is gone.
Samsung would replace the screen if it was bougth in Europe amd the screen had no damage.
Mine has a minor scratch and a very small mark due to a drop.
Anyway seems there wont be any fix, as the crap screen only worked for 10 minutes so no hope for it to be back on again
Samsung never again
