Connectivity Manager
Connectivity Manager is a Wi-Fi and mobile data management tool.
I put this app on Android Market a few weeks ago and I thought I would share it here too, since I figured XDA users are more probable to use it than the general Android public.
Features:
- Monitor your Wi-Fi connection and disable it after a preset time if no network is connected, with a possibility to retry connection periodically.
- Schedule your connections; disable Wi-Fi or mobile data automatically during the periods you set.
- Enable or disable Wi-Fi and mobile data for a preset time.
- On/Off switches for both connection types are provided on the main screen of the application, for easy access.
(Mobile data functionality currently only works on devices with Android 2.3 and above, Wi-Fi works for older versions)
Changelog:
IMPORTANT: When updating to v4.0 or newer, times set in scheduler for earlier versions will not work anymore. Please use the new method.
12.06.01 v(4.0.1):
Fix for bug in scheduler which sometimes prevented disabling
12.05.21 (v4.0):
Scheduler has been completely remade:
Set as many disable periods as you like, on whichever weekdays you want
The option to show notification is now changed instantly when checked/unchecked
Vastly more reliable than before
The usual bug fixes
12.05.02 (v3.0.3):
Added Russian language (thanks to [email protected] for translating)

App updated in the Store, now you can set different times in Scheduler for weekdays and weekends, or different for every day. You can also disable the notification for Scheduler.
I am not sure, it doesn't compatible with my desire (MIUI) on Play market

Hi ukanth, really sorry for the lateness of my reply.
The application being incompatible with your Desire on Play Store is odd, have you set a custom LCD density? I have tried to make the application compatible with any density, but I have not succeeded so far.
Hi Akerskuuug,
just wanted to place a short feedback in the right thread!
CM is also working as it should on both phones I tested it on, the Nexus S ICS 4.0.4 and the LG P500 GB 2.3.7, both rooted and unlocked.

Great, thanks for testing it out! The time picker I added to Silent Hours today will be added to Connectivity Manager shortly, and the five minute intervals with it.

No, It's not still common tradition to give russian names to app, but it is more polite.

We just released an app to the Market for rooted devices running Froyo that enables quick and easy toggling on and off of automatic updates for all of your installed Market apps (aside from system apps that update via the Market).
Search for "market autoupdate" on the Android Market and try it out now!
Let us know what you think of it. Some people mentioned they would be interested to see widget support for this. If enough people want a widget, we'll consider adding widget support to this app!
v1.1 adds a progress spinner and has some internal changes.
v1.1.1 fixes a crash that occurs when trying to click the same button twice. It also fixes an issue that caused the app not to work on high memory devices.
v1.2 fixes a problem where the app would not work on devices without a sqlite3 binary (which includes most rooted stock ROMs that I didn't account for).
v1.2.1 adds a new icon.
EDIT:
bartito requested a screenshot, although there isn't much to see

Sorry, but my app is not to blame.
See this post.
so dose this turn on/off autoupdate feature? will you still see updates? im also curious about the update all feature, is that disabled?
Awesome work, defo will be useful. Wish I'd had it a month ago then I'd be £30 better off due to roaming auto update fun times
hi,
good work man!
only a question (not a bug)
is possible to make a option in your program to enable autoupdate
in / data applications and to disable for / system applications?
Great app!
It would be great if it could be integrated with Tasker.

EXACTLY what I just logged in to say! I'd love to be able to automatically turn off market autoupdates when I'm not connected to wifi (there's no way I'd remember to manually turn it on and off all the time!), but I imagine there needs to be some additional functionality built into this app first to allow interaction via Tasker?
Hi eddieringle,
really nice app ! A must have tool !
But one request: can you make a version that can disable auto-update for all apps including sys-apps ?

We're still looking into why it doesn't work on system applications. When we figure that out, we'll update the application right away.
On another note, 1.2 includes it's own sqlite3 binary, so most of the people who had trouble getting it working should find that it works for them now.
Awesome. Thanks! I was looking for something like this =]
Personally, I'd rather see a list of installed apps with a checkbox indicating Autoupdate status so I can quickly run down my list of apps (perhaps with a tab separating system from installed apps) and check/uncheck Autoupdate for each one. Currently, you have to go into each app separately to do this, which is a major pain... Hope this can be considered for a future update?
I went to slide me and it download but wouldn't install and I try to download it in the Android Market, it download but it say "installation error unknown reason - 18" so I can't install... any help? I'm using an Evo rooted with Clockwork recovery.

Great app!!! It would be nice to be able to choose what to update though, all in 1 simple list, just as it was previously mentioned. Also, the ability to turn off auto-updating when roaming would be useful too (however I do have my phone set to disable data altogether when I'm roaming, it might be useful for others).
keep up the great work!
Wonderful little app, thanks!
Doesn't it work on Android 2.1?
Thanks for your app

Smart Phone makes your smartphone even smarter.
Smart Phone changes the phones settings based on conditions like Location, Time, Battery, SMS text (coming soon Car & Home Dock)
https://market.android.com/details?id=at.bartinger.smartphonelite&feature=search_result
With Smart Phone, you dont have to worry about changing your preferences at any time. Just set up profiles for the locations you spend much time at. For example home, work, school, park, etc… You can easily extend the battery life by by configuring a ‘low battery’ profile where you deactivate everything or by making a “Night mode” profile which turns off Wi-Fi, mobile data and dims the screen while you're asleep. You see, Smart Phone is useful in many situations.
Go ahead and give it a try ratings and comments are very appreciated and you also would make the developer happy if you press the "Submit to Portal" to spread the word and rate this thread in the upper right Thanks for the support

Smart Phone isn´t just a background service that constantly checks if the conditions apply. Nearly all conditions are handled by features of Android. Smart Phone is using these features, so they don’t need to run in the background and won’t drain your battery.
Looks interesting, I tried to download it, but although the market description says: Works on all phones and tablets., its not compatible with my galaxy tab 10.1
I already know this issue. It's because the app requires telephony. The next version will fix this and then it will be available to all devices.
But thanks for the hint
for an app that claims to be better than Tasker it seems to be quite limited
What is the difference between the free and paid?
edit: Never mind me, it tells you what you get with the paid version when you install the free...
edit: (again) I think it would be better to allow 2 profiles for the lite version so we can see how well it toggles between multiple profiles. Having one is a little limiting personally.
All in all, nice from what I see. I'll play with it more.

I think it's much more user friendly and because Smart Phone is in it's early phases there are many features which will get included in the future.

"like xxxxx just better" - is generally a bad practice.
You should pay more attention in what you write, especially when thousands of tasker users may have a different opinion. You know, it does not matter what your app will be but just what your app is.
Apart from that, i like it, clear and user friendly, i'll stay tuned.
Subscribed. Best of luck dev!
P.S I like the icon.
the only reason it's more user-friendly is because it offers a lot less features and can thus arrange the few features it has in a more clearly arranged way.
come back when you support the features Tasker does, then we'll talk
Version 1.2 is published in the Android market

For some reason I can't download your application from the market. There is simply no download button.
I'm in the United States with a Motorola Atrix on 2.3.4.
If you could post the Lite version apk I can use Titanium to link it to the market.

Nike+ Running was released for Android last night in the Play Store.
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT THE DEVELOPER OF THIS APP. IM PURELY PUTTING THIS HERE FOR INFORMATION. ANY BUG REPORTS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED DIRECTLY TO THE APP DEVELOPER.
Full description here:
The most popular running app is now available on Android, for free!
Map your runs, track your progress and get the motivation you need to reach your goals. No sensor or additional products needed, just grab your phone and go.
- From the trail to the treadmill, your phone's GPS and accelerometer accurately record your distance, pace, and time. In-run audio feedback lets you know these metrics at every mile, so you can stay focused on your run.
- Get in-ear cheers from your friends on Facebook when you broadcast that you’ve started a run. Tag the friends you ran with and share a map of your route with friends and family.
- Have a song that gets you pumped? Set up PowerSongs to give yourself a boost with the tap of a button.
- Our Run Summary makes it easy to view your route and track how you felt, the terrain you tackled, and the weather you endured.
- Rotate your phone while viewing the Run Summary to see the breakdown of your run into mile splits.
- See how your last run stacks up against your previous seven, and get fresh insights based on your latest activity every time you come back to the app.
- Swipe upwards on the Home Screen to view your next moves. From picking your PowerSongs to challenging one of your personal bests, there’s always something to make your running experience better than before.
- Visualize all your runs side-by-side and see your progress in a bar graph history view.
- Syncing your run to the Nikeplus.com website allows you to view your maps on a larger screen, set a new goal, and find Nike+ Top Routes in your area. Check it out.
- There’s even shoe tagging. Type in the name of your running shoes to track the distance they’re logging and see when it’s time to lace up a new pair. You’re never done running, but your shoes might be.
- Need extra motivation? Add a widget to your phone’s home screen to show when you ran last, display your total mileage, and for even quicker access into a run.
- Some features such as Share Run and Cheer Me On require users to be connected to a wireless network for full functionality. Please note that continued use of GPS running in the background could dramatically decrease battery life.

Don't work on my galaxy nexus...
I have it, and happily using it on my samsung Galaxy Note, with ICS.
However, I just recently noticed that it has been eating up my battery, even when I am done using it. According to ICS battery consumption, it is on top of the list, and even eating up greater power than the screen.
So , how do I properly shut this app down, including its background processes after using it?
does anyone have the latest 1.0.2 apk for this with stability fixes? In the UK only O2 customers can get this app until the end of the year

I've tried purchasing the Full version of your app from the Play Store via carrier billing , on multiple ROMs, and the processing keeps on failing. Very nice and useful! Really wanna see how widget and notification works on ICS :silly: :good:
Interesting. Sadly it's only in real time, and so you can't use it to test out too much, it's basically just the opportunity to watch your system idling. Probably better as a daydream,
Great application
this app is seen also as part of franco's kernel updater app, correct?

Same here....and I'm running lollypop and wear 5
I remember, have had the same problem at the beginning of development, so i tried out something: install the app again and again - nothing happens. So i cant see the watchface on the mobile device not on the smart watch. I read around the www and found out, there is sometimes a issue in the companion app itself.
A possible solution: kill the companion app, delete app cache, delete the app data and open the app again.
There is a config entry to resync the apps, it worked for me.
It's a very cool watchface, however I got two problems.
Even though I have a 24-hour clock format set on my phone, the watchface still uses 12-hour format (1 instead of 13).
The watchface was available on the watch almost immediately, but there is no app on the phone anywhere, it shows up in Settings->Apps, but there is no icon in my launcher.

Go to the Android Companion App ("Android Wear"), select the watchface - there is a cog inside of the preview image.
Tap the cog and you get the watchface settings. There is no activity "App-"Icon in the launcher.
Sweet, But far to easy to read.
