[Help] Cannot charge 100%? - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hi guy,
I have problem with my Tab, after charged 100%, I unplug my tab. It turn to 99% immediately Do anyone have same problem?

its just battery calibration, etc. typical with android and most phones not displaying correctly.
I wouldn't worry about it 99%, you're fine.
if after you unlug, you drop to 90% or less, then I'd calibrate.

Same here, but I would not worry.

same here and same with my Acer a500 tab. My android phones don't have this problem though. Only tablets.

[Q] Initial battery charging concern...

Hello all! I just bought the Acer A700 tablet (my first tablet!) and had a concern about the initial battery charging. The manual stated NOT to power up the tablet and play with it, but to charge it first for about 4 hours. I was so excited about this new tablet that I didn't read the manual and opened up to play around with it (for about 2 hrs and then I charged it to 100%). Now I have read many places that always says you should charge your tablet to 100% BEFORE powering it up for the first time to extend the battery life of the tablet. My concern is that not charging the tablet immediately and using it right away screwed up my battery somewhat? I do realize this is MY fault for not reading the manual at first. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
This is not an issue with modern Lithium battery chemistries.
You did not damage anything. Enjoy your new toy.
I just got the tablet this noon. The manual is still in plastic (if that even was the manual) and I used it for 2 1\2 hours until the battery was dead. Now Im charging and using the tablet (thiugh it almost doesn't add up..). I always though you had to empty the battery first and then charge it fully up. Turns out it's the other way round.. Well, I don't think it's a real biggie.
I actually fully drained the tablet before charging it for 4 hours.

[Q] About charging.

Hi guys,
I got my A700 today and after I totally used up the battery I plugged in the charger.
When turning the device on Android (and the LED) were both indicating that it's charging. I used it all the time and noticed the device isn't really charging. It's 1% to 5% and then 1% again. It's weird. I know I am using it, but is that costing so much power it's not charging at all?
I ajusted the brightness, but that doesn't really change. I have not been trying to turn it into standby modus and then charge it. But the main question is: Does anybody else experience this?
Edit:
Okay, so apparantly that is completely normal. I turned my tablet into stand by for a few minutes and it's now 11%.
Wow, that is one power hungry monster then.

Battery full at 99% ?

Anyone else has their pad saying full at 99% of the battery? It was a 100% a couple of days ago, I don't know what glitched it, I have been charging it with the dock together.
I've got the same thing
Well, as long as it does not degrade the performance, it is not a major problem. Maybe it will be fixed in an update I think. But I would also appreciate if somebody shows a fix for that.
its just the way batteries are handled these days. charging to 100% and constantly putting a charge to the battery would hurt it.
my current phone sits on my desk at work plugged in all day...i see it creep up to 100%, then i look back a few minutes later (never off the charger not even touched) and it is back down to 98%.
i believe it "quick charges" up to like 97%, then "trickle charges" up to 100%, then stops charging for a few minutes, then "trickle charges" again up to 100% and so on.
its not a bug, it is actually preserving battery life in the long run.

[Q] [xoom2] charger problems

Hi, I have a xoom 2 16 gb and I have a very strange problem with the charger.
I can't exactly pin point the problem.
Whenever I charge the tablet, be it while running or shutdown, despite the fact that is shows it's charging it doesn't.
Sometimes when I charge the tablet while in shutdown, it goes to 100% and when I boot it up it shows only to 15-20%.
This is very annoying because I need the tablet for work and every other charge this problem occurs.
On top of this the charger connector seems very loose while connected as it is of sh#t quality.
Faulty charger or faulty xoom2 ?
Should I go to warranty for this ?
I'm having an issue like this but not the same. My XOOM will sometimes just charge up to 90% or 80% and won't move. I had this issue with Honeycomb and then when I upgraded to ICS it reset the battery file but after a week it started to charge only to 90%. Its a software issue I think, but I think the health of my battery charger is helping it much.
Please post all questions in the Q & A section. Thanks! Thread moved.

[Q] Charging and battery indicator

Hi everyone
My problem is.. my DS started to charge slowly.
Now it doesn't really charge slowly, If I check the voltage, I will get like 4220mv but as soon as it reaches that, the charging graph just goes flat.
If say I have charged it to 70% and it started going slow. i switch it off, place on the charger, and the lamp goes green. I turn it on, and it is showing 100%.
I have tried calibrations, diffirent kernels, wiping, factory resets e.t.c.
Another thing is that if I will run a v6 battery calibrator,it will show that actually I should have a 100% charge although a phone is showing only 70%.
So the summary: Phone charges normally when off (when recovery monitors charging), showing the correct voltage when on... But showing the wrong percentage if on charge.
Also sometimes if the battery is like 14% left. And I turn the phone off and then on again, it will show 22% bearing the same voltage as when it was 14%.
Question: Is there any way to tweak the battery indicator so it would show % values same as the v6 calibrator does it or is it a hardware fault, if yes, which part of it ?
This happens to me on my older (original) battery, but not my new one. I bought the second battery when this problem started happening. So, I think it's just a symptom of an old battery.
By the way, if you leave it on charge long enough, it will eventually jump up to 100%.
Other than this weird behaviour, it has no real impact on anything.

Thought so, mines been acting similarly lately, but strangely enough it seems to be getting better
I think I found out..
I actually purchased a new battery recently, because my old one was jumping like crazy and started discharging in a few hours..
This new battery I bought from a mobile repair shop.
It is a cheap chinese battery with no name, anyhow I just took it out to take a look at it...
And guess what, it sais 1200mah..
Can the phone be confused because of that ?
