Q - Sensation XE Battery Life Just about to buy phone - HTC Sensation

I have had enough with my galaxy note the screen has major issues ... ive had it for just over a month after buying from amazon but they have agreed a refund instead of messing around with a repair
I have decided after doing some research to go to HTC (I have had HDH in the past and liked sense) ... I believe the xe has a better battery life and also faster processor (I found the original sensation to have real lag when I looked last year) ... is the battery good on the xe ? or is it worth getting a new larger capacity from amazon I think the best is called anker ??
I am looking forward to getting back to sense .. im not sure how it will be screen wise because I have been spoiled by the 5.3" note screen however its a small price to pay for a screen that doesnt have banding over it
thanks in advance

The processor is the same, just underclocked on the normal Sensation i.e. the Non XE version.
The battery life is respectable on my XE. But the Anker one is pretty cheap, it can be had for about £12 so if you don't want Beats headphones you may as well just get a normal Sensation and buy the Anker battery, then root and overclock to 1.5 GHz if you want.
The screen is nice, it won't be as vibrant as the Note but it's clear and the colours are good.

Just wondering what people thought of the extended battery?
And before anyone asks I know about the 60% efficency of batterys but it has got to the stage now where I need two batteries as my desires is so piss poor!
Just wanted to know if this is a good option or if there is other alternatives?
I'd just get a cheap standard 2nd battery. I was forced to buy one when I was using my HD2, the slim standards are nice for keeping the bulk out of your pockets.
I don't have any problems keeping my Desire going for 36 hours, but then again, nothing is stock on my phone. Rooting and using S-OFF with a new HBOOT table is always an option, works wonders for me.
Thanks but to me it appears quite cheap ??
Is there any other recommendations

Aye they are cheap, and I wouldn't expect much from them, some of the claimed 1600mAh batterys are only ~1100mAh for example. I think on average you will get 30% less juice from it as you would a proper OEM battery, some are much much worse, 50% for example and some slightly better than 20%.
Your best bet is just to buy a few of them and see which one is best. They are cheap enough, but with that said if you are going to spend ~£18 on three knock-off ones, you might as well spend another ~£5 and get an OEM. ^_^
I have no experience with 3rd party batterys with the Desire, I use a Veho Pebble if I know I am not going to be near a charge point for a couple of days, it works for loads of USB gadgets.

Cheap high capacity batteries for the HTC Sensation

Hello, I've searched on eBay and found some interesting high capacity batteries with low price for the HTC Sensation.
1650MAh High Capacity Battery for HTC Sensation - $5
1800MAh High Capacity Battery for HTC Sensation - $11
I'd like to hear your opinion on the reliability of these batteries because I'm a little suspicious because of the very low price. I already have a cheap 1600MAh battery (bought on eBay) for my Desire and I haven't had any problems with it but I'd not like to risk my new Sensation. As you can see the 1800MAh battery I link above is in a retail package so it should be more reliable and it has a lot more capacity than the stock battery of the Sensation.

One question, how come they have higher capacity over HTC and cost less money? I truly believe that if HTC could efficiently put more mAh in they would.
With current battery technology you would require a battery that was physically bigger to fit the extra capacity.
Be suspicious

But, other phones like the GS2 have higher capacity battery in the same form factor. I can't really know if this is really 1800MAh but I can purchase it and if it's not I'll just make a paypal dispute or keep it as a backup battery.
I like the funny oxymoronic title. I'd imaging the battery on sale is either no 1800MAh or would not hold the charge as long as the stock battery.
But I'll buy one as I need a backup battery. I'll report back after couple of weeks use.
Giorgis, search HTC Desire capacity tests. Basically, batteries have something, let's call it "efficiency". HTC battery was 96%, and that is considered top notch in the battery world. Cheap ones, had "efficiency" of 70-80%, so even with less capacity, HTC outperformed them.
I've bought these cheapo batteries before on my nexus one, MT3G, MT4G, HD7 and now just ordered Sensation...they are hit and miss.
Every one of the batteries were used as backup emergency situations but each one for each phone lasted around 2-4 hours less then the OEM battery. The exception was the 2 higher capacity batteries I bought for my HD7 which lasted just as long as the OEM one...
It's $10-20 and the ones I have bought in the past all come with an external battery charger that also serves as a multi purpose USB charger...and have not damaged any of the phones so far ...Keeping my fingers crossed :$

[Q] Question for Inspire Owners

I've been trying to find a good spare battery to get as a gift for someone but haven't been able to find the battery dimensions anywhere. Being square it looks like it should be compatible with the other HTC Devices, like the Sensation & Evo 3D, but I don't want to order anything unless I know for sure it is.
Does anyone know for sure if the batteries are indeed interchangeable or maybe be willing to measure one for me?
Just look on google/ebay for an inspire 4g battery, you might even be able to get one straight from htc so you know it's the correct one.
I just bough this. Took about 2 weeks to get here due to coming from china but well worth. Excellent battery life on them

Looks like a complete gimmick to me, is it really better battery life than stock?

Most aftermarket batteries are grossly overrated, but some are still decent. If the Inspire battery is the same size as the Sensation/Evo3D battery than I was going to get one of the chichitec 1900mAh. I don't know if it's a full 1900 but it definitely does last longer than the stock 1730mAh that comes with the E3D.
Thanks for the responses everyone. I ended up getting some chichitecs from Amazon, they don't have any reviews for the Inspire/DHD but I've been impressed with their evo 3d batteries so I'm hoping they'll do good too. Plus for 20$ it's a deal regardless. The Mugen 1500s got pretty good reviews in the DHD forum but $45 for a single battery is ridiculous.
If anyone is interested: CHICHITEC HTC Surround AT&T Inspire 4G 2x1500mAh Battery better than OEM + Wall Travel Dock USB Charger also for t8788 ACE BD26100 PD26100
Thats looks very very interesting. Ive heard of that brand before and its better than buying a no name knock off for way more. Please let us know how the new batteries work out!

[Q] Where to buy the battery from the Sensation XE

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the new larger capacity battery for the Sensation XE in the UK, please?
I have a normal Sensation and I hear the battery will fit so I'm looking to get a bit of extra run time with the XE battery!
Thanks
Just buy an Anker 1900 mAh battery off of eBay. They are a lot cheaper, and just as good as the xe battery.

Yeah, I said go for the Anker either on ebay or amazon.com (you can see the reviews on amazon). I bought one, I couldn't be happier after a day of mid to heavy use I am left with 40% or more.

How much can I expect for my XE

I bought my 1st Android, my sensation XE, 6 months ago brand new SIM unlocked free. I came from iPhones.
I love android now, and primarily I came because if screen size.
So now I'm looking and see the One X and the S3, leaning towards the S3, seems a lot of probs on One X.
Mate has a Galaxy Nexus, love the thiness over my XE and the obvious increase in screen size.
But I paid £450 for my XE, how much do people think it would be worth? It's excellent condition, never rooted, beats headphones, it was black back when I.bought it, but bought an official white battery back as well.
I have to get as much as I can really to justify to the missus!
They seem to go for about £180 on Ebay. You'll be lucky to get any more than about £230 if it's in great condition
