[Q] Question for Inspire Owners - HTC Inspire 4G

I've been trying to find a good spare battery to get as a gift for someone but haven't been able to find the battery dimensions anywhere. Being square it looks like it should be compatible with the other HTC Devices, like the Sensation & Evo 3D, but I don't want to order anything unless I know for sure it is.
Does anyone know for sure if the batteries are indeed interchangeable or maybe be willing to measure one for me?

Just look on google/ebay for an inspire 4g battery, you might even be able to get one straight from htc so you know it's the correct one.

I just bough this. Took about 2 weeks to get here due to coming from china but well worth. Excellent battery life on them
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110709536964&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Looks like a complete gimmick to me, is it really better battery life than stock?
Sent from my HTC Desire Z

Most aftermarket batteries are grossly overrated, but some are still decent. If the Inspire battery is the same size as the Sensation/Evo3D battery than I was going to get one of the chichitec 1900mAh. I don't know if it's a full 1900 but it definitely does last longer than the stock 1730mAh that comes with the E3D.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I ended up getting some chichitecs from Amazon, they don't have any reviews for the Inspire/DHD but I've been impressed with their evo 3d batteries so I'm hoping they'll do good too. Plus for 20$ it's a deal regardless. The Mugen 1500s got pretty good reviews in the DHD forum but $45 for a single battery is ridiculous.
If anyone is interested: CHICHITEC HTC Surround AT&T Inspire 4G 2x1500mAh Battery better than OEM + Wall Travel Dock USB Charger also for t8788 ACE BD26100 PD26100

Thats looks very very interesting. Ive heard of that brand before and its better than buying a no name knock off for way more. Please let us know how the new batteries work out!

Did your order come with 2 batteries and charger ?

Battery

The battery on the G2 looks almost the same as then one from the Touch Pro 2. Are they the same? I don't have my Touch Pro 2 anymore.
I did a comparison at the corp store. It's a bit thicker (you can feel with finger).
All you have to do is to flip the battery and cut the corner by the connectors, but the thickness may block the back cover even though it's 0.3mm thicker.
Good to know. The G2 might actually use the same battery as the HTC Eris and Dinc. Anybody can confirm that? I want to pick up a couple of batteries and a charger on ebay but don't want to pay a premium price just because they are listed for the G2 only.

Damn HTC , may wanna check the form factor of the battery it self.
I have a mytouch slide which has the same battery as the g2, 3.7v dc 1300mah
Thing is, not only would you have to flip it face side down to align with the pins, but the nub is backwards making the ass end of the battery stick out a bit too much, dunno what snappin that lil peace off would so as Im not a battery geek, and Im not sure how far the cells inside and its caseing are etc :\

+1 man the battery life for my G2 is better then my N1 but I think my N1 had a bad battery because mine was so horrible compared to what people had. Then again how would that work with this battery door

Really if i last till 4pm that is like heaven for me. I have charger in my car and work but still i hate that i have to keep my phone on the charge all the time I will be looking for a 1800 battery to replace the OEM battery
Here's to that.
Haven't had my G2 long, but the few days I have I've been around 20-25% at 5pm. I take it off the charger at 6am when I head to work.
Used a 2300mAh in my G1 - it spoiled me!
So I'm guessing no one has any information regarding if there is any extended batteries for the G2 yet? I just got my G2 yesterday and I pulled it off the charger this morning at 6:30 a.m for it to be dead by 4:30 p.m. I definitely want something to last a little longer than that.
As far as I've seen, there aren't any extended batteries yet. But the phone did just come out. It's going to take the case/accessories/battery companies a few weeks to get stuff shipping, I would assume.
If the battery in the G2 is the same as the one in the Droid Incredible (I am just speculating, they both seem to have the same specs), there is a slim extended 1750 mAH from Innocell on the seidio website.

Don't waste your time with the Seidio extended battery. It is nowhere near the 1750 that it is rated at.
Take a look at this thread: http://androidforums.com/incredible-accessories/98877-seidio-liar-liar-your-pants-fire.html
I can confirm that the Dinc battery does not fit into the G2, due to the tabs built into the corners.
Edit: you would also have to put the Dinc battery in upside down to align the contacts.

I remember reading somewhere that the G2 battery is the same model as the HTC Wildfire battery. Of course I can't find where I read that now. Does anyone know if that's true? I hope so, since G2 batteries on eBay are $30, whereas Wildfire batteries are only 5 bucks.

If it was true we would have heard about it by now and Ebay would be flooded with them.

Actually, upon searching ebay for "HTC vision" batteries Wildfire batteries kept popping up in the titles. Given that there's already extended batteries for the Wildfire that don't seem to be out of proportion, I'm thinking I'll be the guinea pig on this one.

Let us know if it fits! If so, what the difference in MaH is as well as real-life percentages please! I'd love to have a slightly bigger battery, just so I can make it through the day with WiFi on all day...
Superfly has reported in the battery thread in General that he is using a Seido from the Incredible. He is reporting nothing but goodness about it. He did have to slighty trim a corner to get it to fit though.

CHICHITEC 1900 on HTC Express

I have had good experiences with these batteries in the past. 19.99 for one plus charger and 34.99 for two.
http://www.htcexpress.com/htc-battery/43-htc-sensation-battery-1900mah-battery-dock-usb-chgr.html
I have one of their batteries for my Incredible and have used it for 10 months now and it's still going strong. If this battery for the Sensation is as good as the one for the Incredible, I'll be very happy. Just ordered mine. Don't forget to use OFF10 to get an extra 10% off!

It made a difference for me in the past. I should have this soon to test but I got a few more hours out versus my G2 stock battery. I forget the sizes at the time. I've had the mytouch 4g, nexus s and g2x since so its been awhile. I have issues.
I bought one so I'll be sure to keep you updated after it arrives. Give it a week or so.
let us know how it fits, i don't want to file down the battery like i had to do on my g2...

yup true....i still have it on my g2 and going strong, just waiting for my sensation to come in and i will pick up one of these. kinda off topic but i really hope there will be a docking station for this phone...i waited for the g2 but it never came and only certain tmo stores had it.
Used this for my g2 as well gave me 2-3 extra hrs, the reason it didnt fit that well is because it was for the evo not the g2 but either way I purchased it too should get it tomorrow or thurs will keep you guys posted
I got one today, was already shipped just waiting for it at the mailbox. Will post more after I get it.

how about this.. since it was confirmed that EVO 3D batteries fit in the Sensation why not the 1930mah EVO 3D Battery for our Sensations.. its more less the same price as the one for Sensation, and same 3.7v as well
not shipping to australia :-(
Anybody willing to order 2 batteries for me and ship them to the Netherlands? I'll pay all the costs and a little extra

I thought I read the evo battery were 3.8V which would in the long run hurt the sensation which supports 3.7V. Is that wrong?
So has anyone noticed a significant increase in battery life by using the chichitec battery? I would like to order, but I would be happy to read some positive comments beforehands.
My fear is that the 1900mAh are pure scam and that it is in fact just about the same as the OEM. Am I wrong?
Ordered it on monday but processing takes 4-5 days, I think everyone who purchased the Chicitec has had experience with the battery before. I had this with my g2 and notice about a 3-4 hr increase in battery life which is enough for me to buy from them again. I'm not sure if they're actually 1900 but if i get 2-3 extra hrs ill be happy.

Mugen Power 1800 mAh battery for sensation

Hi!
A real and good battery is arrived!!!
Look at Mugen!
I think it will better than all stuff that you can find on ebay......
Wondering how long it will last since it's only 300mAh more then the original battery. Think you'll still have to charge overnight.
But can't wait for your results
You can buy a Htc evo 3d standard battery too, it's same size, and 3,7v too.
You must just return the battery and hyde the "htc"....
Just pre order, expeded on 22 july!!!!
But mugen power has a very good reputation!
And i waited this model before to buy a simply chinese product....
The new update ROM will improve the charging time, but i must to wait because mine sensation is not unbranded.....

I was wondering if you think it will be better to put the upcoming seido 1900 designed for the HTC Evo 3D into a HTC Sensation. From the imagery it seems to be the correct voltage and on other XDA posts they do say the Evo 3d battery fits in the Sensation. If anybody has any thoughts or review data about Seido v Mugen can you share them please.
p.s. I can't post the Seido link but it is under HTC Evo 3d accessories

Some friends have bought some extended battery for galaxy s and they are very happy about quality.
Mugen power are expert in battery, and when you read and hear good reviews about their products, i decided to trust them.
promise,i will report you my objective feedback!

Better quality? And what are you basing this on? I had both the Seidio and the chichitec for my Incredible. I would never, ever pay full price for that Seidio crap. Did it last longer than OEM? Slightly. Chichitec lasted longer and was about a third of the price. JMHO.

HTC evo shift batteries compatible with htc g2/dz

Hey guys from the g2/dz forums!
The other day i came across a post that said that batteries for the evo shift where compatible with the g2/dz but they didnt show any proof
so later i found this freaking good deal on ebay that comes with 3 1800 mah batteries and a battery charger for a very low price
here is the link
Can someone please confirm this to me before i purchase them please!
I do know G2's batteries work in the Evo Shift. So yeah i would take it shifts batteries will work aswell
I am using an EVO 1800 mah battery in my G2. Get about 1 day and a half on CM7.1.
Ok thanks for the replies!
I guess im buying those batteries!
No don't get these batteries I did and they are not worth it they are at best 900 mah batteries and are way worse than stock and a month after using them they take nearly 8 hours to charge and 2 of them have this weird issue where it will start at 100% and just shut off when you start to do anything on the phone that uses a lot of battery and when you reeboot the phone it will display 17% battery left.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!

Not sure about the reds... for 17 bucks they probably are a knock off, but I am using the white HTC OEM Evo 1800 mah battery. Have been since the G2 came out. Got 2 and charger for $40 and still running great.
i have both an evo shift and a desire z. The batteries look almost exactly the same and the evo shift battery slides right into the desire z without any modification. The only problem is, the door doesnt fully close with the evo shift battery because it is like a hair thicker. I'm sure u can get it to close by pulling off the wrapper... but if you're going to go thru all the effort to mod it, you might as well get an evo battery (which has more mah then evo shift battery) and mod that lol.
i had the evo shift 1500mAh battery it does fit, but the battery door will not close fully. Returned the battery and ordered the HTC Incredible 2 battery 1450mAh perfect fit battery door closed all the way. I was a bit pricey at $30 but its oem.
Well apparently batteries for the G2 are used in many other phones.
This OEM original battery is made and manufactured by HTC and is directly compatible with your HTC devices. The lithium ion technology allows for longer lasting talk and standby times as well as charging with no effect on memory. This 1500 mAh battery is a perfect replacement or spare for your HTC phones.
OEM HTC Part Numbers: RHOD160 / 35H00123-00M / 35H0012300M
The HTC 1500mAh Standard Lithium Ion Battery, manufactured by HTC is compatible with the AT&T HTC Tilt 2, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Hero (Sprint), HTC Imagio, HTC Ozone, HTC Snap S522, HTC Snap (Sprint), HTC Touch Pro2 (Sprint), HTC Touch Pro 2 (T-Mobile), HTC Touch Pro2 (Verizon Wireless) and T-Mobile Dash 3G phone models.

Anker 1600mah battery for the Inspire a rare breed

I bought a refurbished Inspire last week (which looks and works like new), but after these few days of research, I am already aware of it's abysmal battery life. It came with a stock battery that has to be charged at least twice a day to make it through the day. I am also aware of the best batteries for this phone. Here's my issue: I'm not willing to drop 40 bux into a mugen. Next best thing from what I've heard is the Anker 1600 mah. Amazon is clean out of them. ONE seller is selling them on EBay (for the Inspire) and he's charging 3X what the battery normally goes for. Is anyone aware of a store out there that is selling the Anker 1600 for the Inspire, and they're NOT trying to rip people off in the process? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
I am looking for a battery too. My friend gave me her old Inspire but she left it put in the cold/heat so now it won't hold a charge at all. I was gonna they to trade someone on XDA a battery from my old Evo 3D for one. Sucks that HTC made all their batteries different shapes. Of anyone knows of any good deals, let us know.
Radio Shack carries a decent oem version of the inspire/desire battery... I got the lenmar and it's doing pretty good. Can go over 24 hours on normal use... Pm me for a link

I have this one for my inspire and its decent. When I was running Blackout ICS, i could easily get 24-36 hours out of it, now that I'm running AOKP, its not as good. Prolly 12-16 hours. Meh. Cheap enough though.
