This is an alpha ICS MIUI rom for the HTC Desire Z/T-Mobile G2. How difficult would it be for this to work on our phone??
Well....G2 is not a dual core, so I think I heard it would be way harder.
Just my spare change.
Yeah, that is what I was thinking but hoping someone might know differently.

i was just wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to port motorola's application platform to the sensation, and if anyone is willing to do the porting.
that would be interesting to see. i just might like it. i've grown into liking motorola's OS a little bit. i don't think anyone would be willing to port it though, its too many people that don't like it.
well hopefully someone will do it eventually .
Just... Why? my opinion it was horrible. Haven't used it since i had my cliq but i hated it. Was so happy when blur-less roms came out for it.
i would ask why but i guess every one has their own tastes
i would like to know where to get the Droid x2 multi-touch keyboard that is compatible for the sensation though....
Yes. Good idea. I'm bored oredy with sense UI.
i probably shouldn't have said motoblur port, you guys are correct motoblur is horrible but motorola's applications platform is so much better. motorola has changed there os for the better. i to hated motoblur but when i tryed then motorola application platform i loved it, i just prefer htc devices they feel better in the hand.
there was a port for the mt4g so its not impossible
Then let's get chip in, money talks.
20 dollar if someone can port motoblur or anything different.

Hi,
I wanted to ask if there is pontential possibility to run ICS on HTC Desire. I know that its processor is not so strong e.g. comparing to Nexus S which will get ICS. So, do you think there will be ROMs with ICS for HTC Desire which will run smooth?

Should be doable theres already a port for the nexus one so as long as a dev ports it over, since I doubt there will be an official release, there shouldn't be any reason it can't run on the desire but it might be laggy and be missing some features.
I'm pretty sure such a port will come, it is only a matter of time .
Patience...
No doubt there will be Cyanogenmod support, and i personally feel it has the potential to run better than Gingerbread.
Is it possible to port a gingerblur rom to our shift from one of the Droids?
You know i was just thinking of that because i was in the droid 1 development section for a friend and saw they had a working sense 2.1 rom. Its probably possible but very hard to make work without lots of edits
I doubt it...the blur is made for motorola phones not htc.
Will this work?
is it possible to port this from the evo to the evo shift?

Droid 3 or 4?
Or is it possible to get the stock rom from the droid 3 or 4?
Only thing I could say is if your a dev. Try it. Technically its only software, I'm sure with enough work it could be done
Shifted from Outer Space
I'm not a dev.
Well I know nothing about developing I'm just a tester.
As the top line subject thingy asks... is it possible to port HTC Sense to the Samsung Infuse?
I've read articles about sense being ported to the galaxy phones..
Help me understand better?

Possible? Perhaps- it would require kernel change on a large scale and considering it has not yet been done during the time since the Infuse was released, not likely to be done. I believe I have seen a Sense theme somewhere, that's as close as it gets.
maybe over the new aosp kernels. way too much work over a stock rom. you would have to start with a nexus sense port and make changes from there. but remember there are still samsung libs and other blobs in our aosp so sense might not interface with that stuff very well. it has been done on the sgs with atleast partial success so i'd say it's possible but most people that like sense buy htc phones.. honestly i don't think it really offers anything over ics and jelly bean.
i know you can get a sense launcher over ics if that would satisfy you. maybe the widgets can be ported too but full sense might be a project.
Hey guys,
I didn't really know where to put that so I decided that here is a good place for that.
So basically I have the One S but not the one with the Snapdragon S4 processor. Mine has a Snapdragon S3. And I'm not the only one with that. But the bad thing about it is that there is only one or two custom ROMs availible (all Sense based). So now I want to get involved and try to port CyanogenMod to the device. But I don't have any experience in Android developing. Are there any tutorials that tell specifically how to port a ROM to another device without having a CM/AOSP base? What programming languages do I have to know? What do I have to have?
I already thougt that the best way to port ROMs is to take the ones from the Sensation and just port them (the Sensation is pretty similar to the One S villec2). But I don't really know what to do and how to do that.
I'm willing to learn and I know that this process could take a long time (maybe moths, idk?).
Thanks in advance.
Hmm.Maybe if you ask on Cyanogenmod forums it will be better
AW: Port a CyanogenMod
Asked there but didn't get any help so far. I hope I can get help in any forum. Is developing for Android such a closed thing? Do you have to be in this thing since the start of it or did I miss something out?
