Hi Guys,
I have been trying to find a solution regarding re-installation of purchased or free apps via Zune Marketplace on PC.
Whenever I click on the app that I have already downloaded it gives me 2 options Buy or Cancel but the Buy button is always Greyed out. Therefore, I am not able to re-download the apps via Zune Marketplace on PC although on the WP7 Device it can be done.
I sincerely need your help because there are couple of applications which I wish to Download via Computer as on the Device it always gives me the error Attention Required. Tap Here.

You try that: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/b9d1115b-2c0d-4e5d-afc6-fa6dcd84dda4 or you can go to: http://www.windowsphone.com/pl-PL/marketplace, login in your account and from apps list you can install apps by "Reinstall".
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/b9d1115b-2c0d-4e5d-afc6-fa6dcd84dda4
For no known reason, apps originally installed to the phone from Zune can't be re-installed using the phone's Marketplace app, and apps originally installed using the phone itself cant' be reinstalled using Zune.
However, the Windows Phone Marketplace website handles all reinstalls just fine.
Thanks for the replies Guys. The Reinstaller app is great.
But my query is that I have purchased the app on Device but would like to install the same via PC.
Plus I have tried the Reinstall feature in the Windowsphone.com Account settings. The problem is, it sends the request to my phone to install the app via Wi-fi and the same, Attention Required. Tap Here., error is displayed
Is it because of the apps size? Some apps require wifi and will not let you use the cell data to get them.
Rocoafz, its not about app size as I was able to download NFS over Wi-Fi.
Any remedies???
Did you cancel the attempted install on the phone prior to trying to install using the Marketplace site? The website should let you re-install apps that were originally installed using either Zune software on PC, or Marketplace app on the phone. It's the only way that supports doing both.

According to the guys over at Droid-Life the new android market could possibly be launching tomorrow, which mean you will be able to browse and install all apps from the market directly to your android devices, wonder if this will coincidely install the apps onto our gtabs if they are setup with the same account.

It is out today.

The online market send the apk to your phone once you select it from the web market. Since the gtab has no phone I don't know of any way to get it from the market to the phone except manually porting the apk file or downloading it directly to the gtab via wireless connection.

As someone who has struggled with getting Market working , and not successfully, it is very frustrating to finally see the apps on he new site, but still not being able to download them. I have tried to download some, but as you said, there is no way to send it to the tablet. And most of the ones I have tried to far says it is not for my phone. Moving the APK frommy Droid is still the only way for me. Oh well, I continue to hope things will improve.
i download them from the site directly to my gtab with no problem at all i am running the vegan 5.1b rom and it works amazingly works better than my android phone, i just have my google account setup on my gtab and it syncs right over its one of the options when i go to install an app from the site see below.

I was just wondering if Google or anyone else had noticed this loophole?? Download a paid App, back it up to your SD card, get a refund for the paid App and then reinstall using the backed up App.
It isn't something I have done or will do but was wondering if this does actually affect things or the App??

That is interesting but I don't think so.
Doing that would be the same as downloading warez...not welcome on XDA
You won't have access to future updates, also, doing this regularly makes you a douchebag.
Like I say, it isn't something I do and I support the Android community. Was just thinking that it seemed such an easy way to exploit the Market and maybe Google should do something about it.

Not being an actual developer I may have some details off, but...
I think Google implemented an app authentication API that checks with the mothership when you run a program to see if your Google account is authorized to run the app.
I ran into an issue with this (I really should let the developer know, don't know if it was an issue of the API, or their implementation) with Locus Pro. I had been using the free app for a while and decided that I liked the app enough to throw some dough towards the developer. So, I purchased and downloaded the Pro version and immediately threw it on the SD card (Moto Droid1, <256M for apps... need every Meg I can get...). First time I tried to run the program it started up and then popped up a notification stating that I wasn't authorized to use the app. I moved it back onto the phone and ran it again. This time it worked. Then I moved it back to the SD card and haven't had an issue since. I'm hoping that the app doesn't decide to check with the mothership next month (when I'll be heavily using it) while I'm in Sweden w/o a data connection.
What about all of those tablets that don't have the Market installed? Surely these Apps can be sideloaded and there would be no way to check the validity of these Apps.

As stated above, weather it works or not, it would be considered warez and everyone knows our stance on it.

Someone please help
I’ve been using ADB for awhile on my Windows 7 and it use to work perfectly without any problem. However recently, whenever I connect my phone (HTC Desire HD) to my PC, I don’t know why Window suddenly freezes after few minutes (varies between 1 to 7 min) and I have no option but to restart by pulling the plug.
Any idea how I can fix this?
Thanks and any advice/help will be highly appreciated,
USBDview is a free application from the NirSoft range and allow you to not only view the USB devices connected to your PC, and give you valuable information like VendorID, ProductID but also gives the power usage of the USB device. This can be at times good for troubleshooting any USB issues as they maybe power related.

Use it's free and remove all what you see when you use it. Then reboot the system.

When your phone cannot use WiFi, using data traffic may be the choice. Here I have some tips for saving your data roaming.
Tip 1: Close the auto-sync
You can set it through settings

Tip 2: Turn off the Mobile network when you don’ t need network.
Tip 3: Close the apps that running on the backstage. Get some App that can do it. Usually I use Task Manager.
Tip 4: Try to download Apps from your PC not your device. Of course, it is a exception if you have enough data traffic.
For me, I always download APK file from PC, then I use a PC Manager to install the apps to my device. En, I am using Moborobo. You may also use AirDroid. Both are OK.
First of all, thx for the tips.

I bought 2 Chinese smartphones: One is from a company called "Doogee", and the second is called "BlackView"
The Doogee one came with many weird apps preinstalled, so I installed Malwarebytes, and it detected 2 malwares. Both removed. After a day, Malwarebytes prompted me that a malware app is trying to install itself (one of those I removed!) - So I stopped using this phone. Hopefully did not risk too much of my personal information (passwords, emails, etc).
Meanwhile, the other Chinese phone I ordered has arrived. Knowing about those security issues now, I immediately installed Malwarebytes, and it detected that the Sound Recorder app is a malware, and is actually using data(?):

@TroyGuard I would recommend to search for a custom rom build from source to get rid of that stock spy roms :good:
@TroyGuard
personally I wouldn't use them but as you have bought phones you probably want to.
Though on twitter recently Elliot Alderson (@fs0c131y was asking for such phones to analyse, he'd probably be happy to get one!
So If no custom ROM then you should be able to freeze those apps, system or preinstalled, that are risky or unknown (though they often come back, so freeze normally better). If you read the recent threads you will find links to a number of ways to do this, eg using TWRP, ADB, apps like Debloater etc which may work on those phones
WARNING: be careful freezing system apps, freezing an essential app can make your phone unusable, check online first if in doubt
Change all your passwords after this is done, to be safe.
(though there is still the possibility of a hardware backdoor , but I've not seen any reports of this.)
(Note: you probably won't get automatic OTA updates anymore as the ota updater is often part of the problem, besides you would have to refreeze apps after new install, but might be worth updating manually if it gives you important security patches)
