You need to hard reset your phone!!!!! Because u bricked your phone!!
Here is the text from a thread:
This is for all those who have soft bricked their phone, if you are experiencing a bootloop or some other problem here is a detailed guide how to get your phone back to working condition. If your phone is not entering download mode or recovery mode and even if a USB jig is not possible or not working.... This is the guide for you-I do not know whether this will work in all situations but you could still try it if you have no other alternative. The Galaxy SL has a hard reset button between the camera lens and the speaker... DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
1)Open the back over 2)Check between the Camera Lens and the speaker 3) There is a hard reset button which is a small cavity 4) You will need two people for this.. Keep that cavity pressed with a pin 5) Keeping it pressed use the download mode combo- Volume down + Home + Power pressed. 6)Wait and try it a couple of times and your phone will enter download mode 7)Flash to a stock firmware

When i broke up my phone i just waited 1 day and i could use download mode and screens stopped in samsung load.
Once you can use download mode try to flash a Rom with odin`s program. The most cook rooms have already root so you should have ur phone back!

Can I add this to the FAQ?

it's got its own thread, by adi_pat. rohan posted from there. ask adi_pat, I'm sure he'll say yes.
if you like, add the bit about taking the battery out for 30 min or whatever, 'cause it could be that having some voltage in the circuits helps maintain the "memory" of the faulty operation. after draining the voltage completely (including letting capacitors discharge), perhaps there will be no more hard bricks

Ya you are right... some components in the circuit like capacitors flip flops etc all have a particular state even in off condition after some time all the current drains from them and comes to initial condition...

Guys need serious technical help..............................
i have rooted my phone with super one click all things were going fine.installed rom manager to backup my stock ROM and committed a mistake and installed wrong cwm and tried to backup my stock rom.selecting the backup option it Suppose reboot my phone in download mode which doesn't happen. and now i dose not have any access to my phone.
I searched whole forum and haven't found any solution.please help me.
Need guidance..
download and install pratyush.creed rom using odin and ur phone will be fine again
Bricked Screen (A.K.A. phone-!-pc or Black Screen of Death)
To recover from this problem, you'll need to get into the Download Mode.
Black Screen of Death:A fully bricked phone will not boot, or display the charging logo when connected to a USB charger. This presently cannot be recovered from any recovery attempt, it will require the phone to be sent back to Samsung and be serviced.
This screen does not always mean your phone is bricked. If you have a hardware locked vibrant, maybe, however, if your phone is not hardware locked, unplug the USB cable from the phone, Hold down Vol UP+Vol Down+Power, the screen will flash black, continue holding down all 3 buttons, you will see the "phone--!--PC" screen again, continue holding all 3 buttons, the screen will flash black again, release the power button only. This will put you into Download Mode.
If this does not work, open odin. Then connect your usb cable to your phone and computer. While the USB is plugged in and Odin running press and hold volume down + Home + Power. Once the black screen comes (flashes) release the Power Button. It should get into download mode.
Additionally it is possible to get into the Download Mode using a kind of micro-usb connector, modified with a 301k resistor as showed in this video:

did u remove the usb?
Make sure USB is unplugged and you've flashed the correct file for your phone
1. As they said remove the usb cable from your phone.
2. Remove the battery and don't forget to PUT IT BACK.. Some people tend to forget that.. Lol
3. Try entering download mode
It is normal to get blackscreen after flashing latona file, just follow those 3 simple steps and you'll be fine..

hard reset after flashing pit is useless. ignore this advice and follow ephraim's steps, please! I encounter this "black", but partially backlit screen, every time I flash pit, and those steps are what I do to continue with flashing!

Open the back cover, and you can find a small pin hole, between the camera and the speakers.
Its a very small hole.

This is only if you are experiencing a bootloop. If your phone is not entering download mode or recovery mode and even if a USB is not working.... As I told you the location of the hard reset button, just open the back flap and follow the instruction.
DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!
You will need two people for this.. Keep that pin hole pressed with a pin, then keeping it pressed try to enter the download mode- [Volume down + Home + Power button pursed]. Try it a couple of times and your phone will enter download mode
and then as you enter the download mode, flash to a stock firmware using odin.
Hit the THANKS button if it helped you !:thumbup:

Did you press the pin hole button carefully? Try using a thicker pin so that it is directly pressed.
Though I've never been struck hard, without the download mode, but this works fine on Samsung Galaxy sl i9003.

I tried again just now. It still wont start anything. I tried with small pin, a pen, a needle, paperclip. Nothing happen.

Well try to enter the download mode while after pressing the pin in the small hole behind.
Btw that button behind will work only if your phone is in soft brick mode. That is it atleast starts/vibrates, screen becomes little light blue when u try to start the phone.
U may need to flash the stock kernel
Try remove ur battery. Push three button to download mode (volume down+home+power). Reinsert battery while holding the button. Wait up to see phone enter download mode. If doesn't, repeat step with battery inserted in your phone. When phone enter the download mode I assume u know what to do next.

I assume you are not doing it correctly. Otherwise soft bricked generally do not even require hard reset button generally.
First press the volume down, after a second or two, press home button. Then while holding other two buttons, press power button. Hold it till it vibrates.
Then, just leave the power button. After two or three sec, leave the other two buttons.
sometimes it's hard to get the download mode, then only you need to use reset button.

I could do hardware reset, but have now poor gsm signal!
I was on CM 10 alpha4 + nicsptl kernel (Had execllent signal strength even in bathroom, lift)
Due to bad battery life I decided to go back to stock. vai xxkpe > DDLF2
After flashing latona I could not get the phone in download mode so did hardware reset (reset btton between camera and speaker + download buttons (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1411768)
I flshed xxkpe and DDLF2+ CF-root. Now I had a big signal drop problem!
So I flshed full xxkpe three times with full data wipes and falshed DDLF2 and CF-root. Same problem.
I thought CM10 + nicsptl might be better so I flashed them (flashed CM10 thrice + gapps to be sure)
Same signal problem!
Flashed signal-fix kernel, cleared dalvik same issue!
I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1776211
So I think the reason is not modem or sim. It has to do with hardware reset, I guess.
Can any one help?

I think I bricked my SG4GS (SGH-959v)

Hello everyone I am back again with a galaxy this time
I used this guide to root my phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21953587&postcount=1
the root worked perfectly, but I did wrong is that I didn't have any of my applications that I had before root, so I thought that it is a good idea to go back into CWM and restore it from there, after I did that the phone rebooted and got stuck in the Galaxy screen, I am unable to access recovery, CWM or download mode the phone doesn't even boot it justs sits at the galaxy screen.
btw I have this kernel Bhundven's Subtly Modified Stock with CWM5 + Voodoo Lagfix (thanks to AntonX )
this is the rom that I flashed -Valhalla - BlackEdition(thanks to RaverX3X)
my computer does recognise my phone when I do the three finger salute while plugged in usb.
please I need help this is my only phone
If you can still get into recovery then try wiping the caches and fix permissions. That may fix it, if not maybe wipe data. Otherwise if you can still use recovery then you should try wiping everything and re-installing the rom, or restore nandroid backup and use titanium to backup your apps.
If you can't get to recovery then you should be able to one-click back to stock from download mode and start over.

So, I have been in this very situation with that same very setup. I flashed a Nandroid backup and bam, stuck at the screen. Spent hours trying to fix it. Best part was, I was on a business trip, and all the info I needed was in my phone
So, the trick here as I recall is to get the phone in Download Mode, once there, you can then use Heimdall One-Click http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1358498 (which is what I used that time) or you can flash One-Click Gremlin Remover, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500427 which uses Odin to Flash back to Stock.
To the best of my recollection, here is how I recall getting into D/L mode after hours of trying. About 5am, got it to work. Thanks to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112076
Steps are:
1. Have Heimdall or One-Click opened and ready
2. Remove your battery
3. I would hold the power button for like 10 secs to discharge the circuits (not sure this is needed, just like a clean slate)
4. Hold the Volume rocker down (no battery in the phone yet) *Note you DO NOT press or hold the POWER button for this procedure.
5. Plug computer connected USB into your phone (still holding down the volume rocker)
6. Insert Battery into phone (still holding down the volume rocker) Your phone should automatically turn on at this point in to Download Mode.
The order of the above is critical in that you do not install your battery until after the USB is connected, while you hold the volume rocker down. This should take you into Download mode where you can reflash.
You might also run into an issue where your computer does not recognize the drivers for your phone initially (because they are not being sent to it by the phone). If you are getting into Download Mode and you see that Heimdall or One Click is not detecting the device, reinstall the drivers from the Samsung site for the SGS4G and then try.
Hope this helps! Been in the exact same jam, you can get this fixed. Soft bricks are always better than hard bricks.

Thanks for clarifying, that was what I meant. I press the middle of the rocker to hold it "down" did not even think of that being mistaken as in directionally down. Sounds like the OP is up and running so all good.

Good to hear. Now, get yourself updated to one of the stable ICS MTD ROMs, I never had much success with the GB ROMs being all that stable for me. Personally, I like AOKP (4.0.4) myself.

so let's start,i have a bricked i9000,i made the hardware modification, the phone is detected properly.but whene i try to push download mod i get this error FAILED TO WRITE 1310730 BYTES.i tried to follow all the steps on the tutorial of adam but not lucky.
Did you remove the battery and keep power button pressed at least 30sec? After that try instantly to start the download mode
thanks for the reply.i didn't do it i'll try and post result.
the same problem.that's i have done.
remove battery
put it again
hit download botton and write the passwoed
plug the phone
hit enter botton
that's what was explained in the tuto of adam
i hope some one help me i can't revive my phone.
Just to make sure:
- if your battery isn't empty
- if you have reseted the phone (pressed the power button for at least 30sec with REMOVED battery) and afterwards
- inserted the battery back (be sure it isn't empty)
- pressed 3-button combination for download mode (vol.down&home&power)
What happens than?
Another try:
- remove the battery, press 3-buttons-combo and insert the battery WHILE PRESSED all three buttons and see if you can get download mode then.....success?
If not, you will need a jig, like here:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...000&_nkw=jig+samsung+i9000&_sacat=0&_from=R40
And read this whole thread, there you could find the proper answer what to do:

Good luck!

no download mod neither with combo bottons nor with jig.

Hi mate. You're probably not the only one with that error. But please answer my questions now exactly, otherwise I certainly won't be able to help you. Let us try to see if simple way would work:
1. is Samsung mobile driver properly installed on your PC?
2. are you sure Samsung Kies is dead/unactive (best would be if removed)
3. when you run Odin v1.8x as administrator does it recognize your phone when you connect it via USB cable

IMHO if you already managed to nearly brick your i9000 with Odin, I am not sure JTAG is proper workflow for the beginners. Here you can read how one guy solved similar problem:

Just a moment: did you use jig properly? I think the phone must be off (always reset before: keep for whole one minute power button pressed without the battery} and then insert the battery again, don't turn on the phone- the jig gets inserted as much I know while telephone is OFF- connect the jig and wait for 10-15 seconds
If really nothing helps, Samsung service will be your last option, they probably can fix it.
