Try to reflash firmware using odin.

Maybe i do reflashing wrong.
I do
1) Going in to download mode
2) opening odin v 182
3) selecting pda xxkpq.tar.md5
4) unchecking repartition
5) start
then everything works and it says passed
but when it restarts it stucks in the startup samsung doing and doing the same startup screen with intervals

In the android development section of i9003..

Bro first download XXKPE from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647
Then follow the guide to flash XXKPE here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787
Then follow the guide to flash XXKPQ again from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787

just enter into download mode.then flash xxkpe (all options wid repartition checked)just allow it to be booted till the homescreen and then again go into diwnload mode and flash xxkpq(repartition unchecked)

I installed utterchaos v9 1009 and it worked. But it started with factory default settings. But the problem is everytime the phone turns on it starts with factory default settings. every time asks me to choose locale, languages and e.t.c.
I will try flashing to xxkpe

Are you sure that the Factory Settings issue wasn't caused by you flashing XXKPE first then XXKPQ?
Try reflashing again.

You will only get the select locale etc just once....
Do not factory reset everytime.

I know the problem here. You flashed from UC kernel , and you must have a partition that was converted to EXT4. you then flashed stock kernel but of course your phone will not boot after that, because stock kernel does not support EXT4 format. after you flashed stock kernel you should go into recovery menu and wipe/factory reset, so the partition will go back to default format, and you can still retain stock kernel.
Delete this message I dont know how I didnt read above that you already got your solution

Correct me if im wrong , but as far as i know every time you flash stock firmware through odin your partition is automatically converted to rfs format

Get Odin, push stock rom pit then do the root again and flush custom rom that has kurnal in it.
Your problem is because the rom and kurnal right now don't match.
Second opsion is if u did nandroid back up, then in recovery just do restor and flash new custom rom with liens, no need for Odin and re root
What lol.... ? ...... i think he meant download odin. And the stock tar. Odin the stock tar. Then odin the cwm recovery tar. Then flash the super user zip in cwm. Then wipe data/cache and flash a custom rom. There a million and one diff reasons why u could be soft bricked.
Go here and follow all instructions exactly as written http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ9wNT21c_s&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Tar goes in the pda section of odin. And make sure to download 7zip the tar is inside the 7z file. So u need to decompress it first

i9003 doesn't boot up (Can access download mode)

What's going on guys,I've got a problem here that I need your help with.
After flashing a new 2.3.6 ROM my phone just won't boot up, here's how it went down.
I flashed the new ROM and it worked great for about 1 month and suddenly it stopped booting up, since then I've tried flashing a huge load of ROMs trying to get it to work but so far nothing has worked.
I've tried flashing with the MMC in, without it and I've also tried flashing with and without the latona.pit file, as I said above nothing has worked.
After the flashing here's what I see in the Android System Recovery Menu:
Your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions

I can get the phone to download mode, and it shows the Samsung animation but without sound, and it keeps bootlooping.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok, so you were running a custom rom for a month, and for that month there were no problems. then, all of a sudden, with no further modifications and no alterations of any settings, it quit working? was it having any sort of problems, like difficulty booting or coming out of sleep, etc., or was it really with no warning at all? there was no overheating at all either?
what were your governor settings?
you say that flashing pit, along with the roms listed above, didn't work, but what was the message you got after running it in odin?

It wasn't a custom ROM that I installed, it was an official one that was posted on XDA.
No errors were shown in ODIN, the only errors are the ones on the phone which I posted above.
Yeah, it stopped working without me doing any modifications.
I flashed a one file rom and it worked great for about a month then it stopped working and I downgraded to a 3-file rom, flashing the 3-file rom WITHOUT the External SD gave the same error I've posted above, I flashed it WITH the External SD and it worked great for a few months but when I removed the SD card while the phone was on, it would just hang and I would have to restart the phone again with the SD card in which made me believe the OS was installed on the SD card. But this stopped working after another month and here I'm.
The problem right now is, I get the error despite whether the SD card is in or out.
I've done some research on this and I see that this problem MAYBE caused by partitioning issues that could be fixed with "dbdata.rfs" IN GALAXY S, (the same error has been fixed on the Galaxy S with the "dbdata.rfs" file) but I haven't been able to find the "dbdata.rfs" file in any of the roms for i9003.
did u unmount ur sd card before removing it?anyway,u can continue trying to flash other rom available since u can still enter download mode.do try flashing with rom that got bootloader(4files rom) on odin.
anyway, this thread actually belongs to general section man.do explore xda properly before u start posting a thread..
in addition to what rarap said, switching your sd cards with the swap is one thing that causes problems. I'm sure you know the purpose of the swap, but in most cases (or all, can't say for sure), these swaps don't fix the commands for ejecting sd cards, so even though you do the "eject" command, it will still give you the warning that you removed a card without stopping it, hence the hang when you removed it.
do a full five file flash. backup first, then reset all data, then flash pit, then 4 files of kpe and then whichever GB you were using (PDA ONLY!) and do not make any mods. then see if you have issues.
Can you get into recovery?

I did flash XXKPE twice but still same issue, Boot Looping.
I found two things here,
1. Should i uncheck "Re-Partion"?
2. After installation, mobile went to recovery mode (both time) but i could see error while wiping data.
Did i do all things correctly? Or did i miss something?

My Fault, i did not read the instructions before downloading into GB version.
I have done all these things written in the post. In some other link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458
I got to know my problem is similar to the one displayed in the link above. But i could not find these things for Galaxy SL,
Recovery Package/ROM
Kernel and
BootLoader for my phone.
I tried searching but not much useful though.
I'll try to explain how to go to CM9A11. Once you get there, set up your phone the way you want it and make sure it works fine. Then take a nandroid backup (do a search if you don't know how, or send me a pm like a lot of people do). Make a copy of that backup folder to your pc, so you can go back to that if something goes wrong. Then it would be the time to try out different CM9 based ROMs.

Thank you all.
I am back on XXKPE right now. I will upgrade to DDLF2 in some time.
How is performance of CM9?
Is it better than RemICS 1.5.3?
I was on RemICS 1.5.3 felt phone is becoming slower and slower thus wanted to shift back to DDLF2.
Right now il be on DDLF2 and will upgrade to CM9 (if its really very good).
Once again thanks all. XXKPE worked
No problems. BTW, I've posted the above help quite a few times in the last month.

There's a thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1757849) that has a solution which needs me to remove my NAND, I have tried but it's physically difficult to remove the memory, is that the only way? If so, is there anyone who can teach me how to remove the NAND?

calm down and take a breather is the first thing. nothing good comes of being stressed or being in a panicked frenzy when working on phones, especially someone else's phone. Its perfectly fixable at this point so take some deep breaths and relax.

calm down and take a breather is the first thing. nothing good comes of being stressed or being in a panicked frenzy when working on phones, especially someone else's phone. Its perfectly fixable at this point so take some deep breaths and relax.

i have been in the android hacking world for 2 years never had an issues and now my friend wants me to pay for a new phone for him cz i bricked his so plz help
i have already had this king of problem sometimes...(don't know why). You can try the instructions that lola gives to all befor flashing a costum rom (try this, second post) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192613
Don't worry it's not a big problem i think you will able to solve it
Did you flash XXKPE with pit file? And I don't think it's a permanent brick.Just a soft brick so don't worry
Download xxkpe firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647
^ this comes with odin .. use that one
Use guide to flash xxkpe http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133787
^ Follow this guide religiously, without missing a step
Now download 2.3.6 valuepack firmware of your choice and flash it using odin.
You should be ok.

[Q] Stuck in endless Bootloop

i'm stuck in an endless bootloop after trying to upgrade the CM10 Beta 4 version on my Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
This is what i did
I'd upgraded from 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 some months ago. Then flashed CM10 Beta 4 by ivendor.
For this i first downloaded the CWM -> recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 and flashed it using Odin.
Then the ROM file -> cm-10-20130324-ivendor-beta4-ariesve.zip
Was checking the updates on this and found much advances in the 2.5 release of 2 May 2013.
So downloaded the CWM -> CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.tar.md5. When i tried to flash using Odin it gave me the MD5 error.
Saw somewhere on the forum to flash using zip file, so downloaded CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.zip and tried to flash. This was when my phone got soft-bricked.
Removed the cable, battery etc. After some time, was able to go into Download mode but not Recovery.
Then i tried to flash to stock ROM (2.3.6) - I9001XXKQI_I9001XXKPM_I9001OXFKQ3_HOME.tar.md5. This completed and Odin said PASS. But the phone now goes into a bootloop. Tried the Recovery mode but after the Android-out-of-the-box symbol it again said SAMSUNG and started the boot. This is repeating continuously. What should i do now? Please help.
This is the sequence of things...
1) 2.3.3 to 2.3.6 - Success !!
2) Flash with CM10-Beta 4.a) recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 - OK
b) cm-10-20130324-ivendor-beta4-ariesve.zip - Success!!!
c) gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip - Success!!3) Flash with CM10-Release 2.5a) CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.tar.md5 - MD5 checksum error !!
b) CWMRecovery-6.0.2.8-ariesve-kernel26.zip - Soft-bricked !!!4) Flash stock ROM (2.3.6) a) I9001XXKQI_I9001XXKPM_I9001OXFKQ3_HOME.tar.md5 - PASS
Bootloop
Cannot go into Recovery mode too (after Recovery mode icon appears SAMSUNG logo comes up and phone boots with the blue spiral, this goes into a continuous loop)

AFAIK, CM10 would have already consisted of the latest CWM, so there is no need of u to flash a CWM again over it!
Ur biggest mistake, u MUST have had a nandroid backup before doing anything to ur phone! This might have been even recommended by the thread of the CM10.
So my last suggestion from the things that u have done, flash the CWM through odin if possible right now and if successful get into recovery mode and wipe data & cache and check whether the bootloop is gone.
Else try reflashing the stock firmware.
If that doesn't even help, get help from the devs related to ur device through PM.
If hopeless still, then hit a samsung service center near u
Hit thanks rather than typing it
Will try this

Thanks, will try this tonight
I already took the Nandroid backup before flashing CM10 Beta 4. But was not able to go into it after my phone was soft-bricked.
Solved - booted into 2.3.6 !!!

A million thanks!! It somehow started now into the 2.3.6.
Flashing the recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 did not solve the bootloop. Then i flashed the Boot_loader.tar. That too did not solve the bootloop. Tried Recovery mode again but the SAMSUNG logo kept coming and going until i released my fingers after a full two minutes. Then before the android-out-of-the-box icon came it went straightaway into Recovery .
Wiped Data and Cache and rebooted. After a very very long time it started and asked if im okay with the Google data collection policy asked in Polish language.
Wow, going to update to 4.1.2 Release 2.5 in some time.
Thanks again man. :good:
Got CM10 Beta 4 again !
