[Q] EU Wifi channels ? - HTC Sensation

Hi guys,
I have a Sensation XE running ARHD 3.6.13 and I just noticed today that the phone is unable to see any networks on EU channels (11,12,13).
Is there a trick use these frequencies ?
Radio: 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2

Up
Nobody is using these channels ?

I tried Virtuous 2.2.3 ROM and there is the same issue, unable to detect any wifi networks over channel 11.

Hi
Is this issue still not resolved?
Same problem here; my wifi not visible at all (channel 13)
Original stock ROM, was never modified, rooted, etc.
Android 4.0.3, software number 3.33.401.55, baseband 11.76C.3504.00U_11.29A3504.18_M
Can't seem to find any setting which could affect usable channels, changed country in "language & keyboard", but no effect.
Also did a factory reset, twice, no effect.
What could be the clue? Or is this some kind of "US"-model?
I have 4 different other HTC models, but they all can connect fine to channel 13! (stock ROM or not)

SOLVED
Solved.... well in my case at least...
After inserting my SIMcard channel 12 & 13 are visible. Yes the HTC original ROM gets this region-information from the SIMcard. This is aparently a normal procedure, but was unknown to me.
I usually use some phones without SIMcard first, to setup all privacy settings etc.

Problem with Windows Mobile 6.1 official upgrade

hi,
i've a big big problem. i made the official upgrade to WM6.1 for my tytn II (italian) but once finished it was set under HSDPA. I disabled HSDPA and i turned to 3G.
with the old rom (official wm6) i disabled 3G by setting GSM following this path:
Comm manager -> options -> phone -> banda (i don't know the english translation, i think is band). under that panel i selected GSM and the phone turned to GSM, with G icon in the home screen
if i do the same thing with the new rom the phone freeze, and 10-15 seconds after a message says: cant switch band, try later.
i tried many times but the problem remains, i also tried to install the rom update again and again.
can you help me? 3G doesn't work fine where i live, so it's important to set GSM
someone told me that changing the radio rom (it has the original one) can solve the problem, can you give me some advice?
thanks
Same thing happened to me, restarted and tried again and it worked.

different radios yeild different signal strengths depending on location. try different wm6.1 radios and see if there is one that gives you better connection strength. go here for a list of radios:

[Q] HTC DHD - Radio Roaming.... help please

I have a DHD, rooted with ENG S-Off and Radio S-Off. I have the latest MIUI Android 1.7.1 installed (beautiful ROM ).
However since install I am showing roaming all the time and my data connection is non existent. My BT and Wifi are good with no issues noted and my call signal is fine for calls, no drops noticed.
I can see that my signal is with my own carrier (3 UK) and as such the roaming indicator is obviously untrue.....
Other than roaming the only other issue is a very noticable delay during calls, however this may be totally unrelated.
I have spent days looking to try and find the best radio / RIL combination both here and on MIUI Android foruns without success, but have read all sorts of comments regarding both.
My current radio is 12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_m2
My RIL is HTC-RIL 2.2.0018G (Mar 24 2011,20:20:09)
Do you think my issue is due to radio / RIL combo or something else.....
I have just tried the following RIL's without sucess, i.e. still showing roaming while on home network:
HTC-RIL_2.2.0099HM
HTC-RIL_2.2.0131HM
HTC-RIL_2.2.1003G
HTC_RIL_2.2.1001G-signed
RIL_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2
I have a few more to try.....
Could it not just be a ROM issue? Have you tried to flash a different ROM and see if the same persists?
Thanks stylez, I have tried MIUI UK 1.6.24 and now 1.7.1 and i have also tried MIUI US 1.6.24 and all have shown the same issue.
My stock Sense ROM was fine as was LEEDROID and Android Revolution.
So I am assuming this is a MIUI / Radio / RIL issue....
Have only boshed MIUI on once and didn't enjoy the setup, i was using the Radio Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 didn't change RIL but can't remember having issue u mention, but as said was only a short run.
Interesting with new ROM

[Q] CM9 Alfa 17 data not working

I followed directions to wipe everything as suggested in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20485148&postcount=146
Was using Alfa 13 just fine, but on Alfa 17 I can not get cellular data to work. Confirmed my WAP settings are correct for my carrier.
My baseband it says its a i9020xxkf1 and everything else on the phone works. I can access the market, wifi works, account sync if i have wifi on. I have doubled checked every possible setting. But it will not bring up a data connection over the cellular radio. It even takes calls over the radio. Just no data connectivity.
Any suggestions or reasons why this is occurring? I can easily swap back to an older nandroid image of alfa 13, but I would really like to get on a new version etc.
(Also, I would have made this post in the right dev section, but i lack 10 posts to gain access to it.)
Have you tried removing and replacing your SIM card ?
Also, check if your data counter has a limit set on
You could also manually configure your APN settings with your carrier's settings
Unfortunatly I have done all of those things. It doesn't even attempt to connect to data. I sit at 4 or 5 bars of signal and it never even connects to EDGE/3g at all. Yet if I flip back over to my older image it works flawlessly.
i have also problem with version 17, but i can't post it to developer forum (newbie here)
problem is that i can't hook on any network, no calls no messegas, i'm using croatian tele2/t-mobile....sometimes it connects but still nothing, no calss etc.
also problem (not so much a problem but a solution) when i installed ROM it went to bootloop, all you have to do is remove battery and power up again, and voila, it works, same problem happened when i installed gapps (same solution worked, everything installed from CWM latest version)
there were also posts regarding cwm not stiking after installing cynogen, i had no problem with it, i have latest cwm 5.0.2.3 (think so), sticks like hell tried couple of roms, still sticking
cheers
I have the same problem here... ICS 4.0.3 and my 3G stopped to work.
also tried new 18 version, still no luck, i'm staying on cynogenmod 7 (GB), only ICS version that worked was MUI but i don't like it very much....

It has been messed around with a fair bit. Various methods have worked for different people. YMMV. I myself had such an issue with the stock FW (of all FWs...).

Mobile network problems with several apps

Hello!
For a month or two (one week after I installed V21e stock from kdz) I can't use some programs with mobile network (with wifi everything is fine). So, Google Maps, Google Translate and Youtube can't reach the network. Facebook client and messenger get the messages and notifications, but facebook shows everytime that connection is lost. All of these programs try to reach the network (uploading arrow),but get nothing. Other apps and the browser have no problems. I thought, it could be an operator problem, but they reflected, all of my network communications are correct. I tried with other operators' SIM, everything worked (and also my SIM worked in other phones). After all, I tried downgrade to V10k, and with the stock froyo everything went well, then back to 2.3 (V21a, V21e), and these two 2.3 ROMs got the problem again. I'm not alone with this problem in my country (Hungary) with my operator (Telenor), but we can't imagine, how it could be a device-specific error. Thanks, if someone has an idea.

Baseband version: L660_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00

Baseband / radio - what's the most stable firmware version?

I have been using a Droid Mini for many years now, and am still quite happy with it. One of my few complaints, is that the radio does not play nicely with Canada's Bell/Telus LTE network.
I've used the versions in both 4.2.2 (doesn't hand off to HSPA properly after a call or MMS, repeated service drop-outs) and 4.4.4 (hand-off is fine, but LTE connection is started/lost many times a day regardless of signal strength). While the latter one is an improvement, there are other weird bugs that seem to come with 4.4.4 ("this SIM is from an unknown source" errors which randomly kill your connection, prompting to connect to WiFi when opening apps even if all available relevant settings have been disabled).
I know the radio firmware from the Moto X is compatible, but I have a few questions before I start toying with this as it is my daily driver:
Is it OK to flash the radio partition from a newer major version? (Lollipop radio to Kitkat)
Is MSM8960PRO_BP_23255.140.93.00R the best option available? What is included with the available CyanogenMod releases?
Is the radio partition the only one that must be flashed to support this?
What's the easiest way to backup the partition before I try to update it?
Does anyone know if there is a working repository for the XT1030's stock images?
