Database Info

Stuck at 1X data.

For the past few hours I've been stuck in at 1X. I've tried wiping data, going back to stock, pulling the battery, pulling the SIM card and still have no luck. It sits at 1X and will go to 3G for a second and then drops it and goes back to 1X. I was flashing some ROMs earlier (BAMF 1.5, 1.5 Remix and CM7 pre-alpha) and the problem seemed to start when I flashed back to rooted stock. I flashed back to BAMF 1.5 and it's still sitting at 1X.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE: Engadget has confirmed that there is a nation wide LTE outage for TB users.

Where are you located? I just made a thread....same thing is happening to me and it's driving me nuts. I'm in NJ and i'm on stock thunderbolt.

I'm in the Chicago suburbs.

Same thing going on in Florida.

Must be a network issue then. Hopefully this clears up soon.

Atleast I can tell you you're not alone.
I'm in the same boat with 1x only, and I'm on a stock rom. call can be received and placed though, so some positive there.

Well can't rely on verizon at 2 in the am lol. But my friend has a Black Berry and his 3g seems fine.

My Xoom is catching 3g just fine as well

Hmmm maybe they tried pushing an update and messed something up just for the t bolt? Don't quote me on that, as that guess is a shot in the dark. I just don't know why or how it's affecting the tbolt all over the states. If 3g is fine for other phones SHOULDN"T ours be good as well? Just tryin to understand and maybe learn a lil something.

Maybe it has something to do with the LTE sim card and something they are doing to the network. Because I'm using 3g on my laptop right now.

[Q] No Data whatsoever on any ROM??

so this morning I flashed the BAMF SoaB ROM and have had no data connection all day long.. after restoring multiple old back-ups and changing radios I still get no data connection other than Wifi..
is anyone else having problems like this? thinking it might be a Verizon network issue.. other friends with Verizon LTE 4G phones in my area arent having problems though..
Just un-rooted and s-on back to stock.. still no data... :-( i think if its not up tomorrow im going in to Verizon

I think its a verizon network issue. I havent been getting 4G for the last couple of days. My phone keeps switching to 1X and 3G or even nothing. Just data completley. I check with my other freinds in my area, they have 4G so its really weird. Dunno what to do.. sigh

The VZW data network has been down off and on for 2 days nationwide. Nothing wrong with the rom.

It be nice for them to had tell us. I am getting a replacement since the tech guy thinks my phone is bad since i replaced the 4G sim card...sigh

Good to know thanks.. maybe I will try to convince the kid behind the counter at my local Verizon store to give me a replacement anyway ;-) mine is getting a little scratched up lol..
Wonder why this only affects some phones.. like the other guy said .. my friends LG Revolution is just fine.. no 4G in my area yet but at this point is be happy with any data at all... I think Verizon has just broken my user agreement.. haha

Well data is back today and actually seems a bit faster than it ever was.. I guess I'll have something to do tonight re-rooting and flashing SoaB again.. that ROM was pretty awesome

Describes my experience exactly. I nandroided back to stock rooted from bamf forever and data came back....for a while then the same nonsense all over again. I hate 1X

Today when I switched to my replacement, 4G showed up right away. Its been on all day. I guess I did have a bad phone

[Q] Inspire 4G on H2O MMS Problem -SOLVED

I have an Inspire 4G on H2O Wireless' $60 "Unlimited" (hahaha, Right) Plan and everything was working fine running virtuous affinity, then I flashed coredroid 9 and lost MMS functionality. Error returned is always Unable to send message after multiple attempts - service denied. I have my APNs set exactly as before, even restored a nandroid backup I made before flashing Coredroid but still get same error. SMS works fine just no Picture messages will send or receive. Have spoken to no less than 7 H2O CSRs to no avail. Are the APNs stored on the SIM? Should I replace the SIM? I Just Dunno. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else have their Inspire on H2O? Thanks

Is your network mode in mobile network settings set to auto? If google sync backed up a different setting it would keep getting set regardless of what Rom you restore.

I have h20 and my mms works just fine. Ill jump on the comp and get the link to the settings I ALWAYS use. They've worked great on any rom I've used.

Yeah, those are what I had set. Thanks for posting that up though, turns out it was something on their end. went through another three calls to India before getting a CSR that I could understand and would listen and do what I told them to do to get it back. The solution was to "Refresh the Account" as they have had to do 6 times in the last two months to bring back Data which drops out at least every week or so.. Thanks again, and btw, how is your data speed?

Yep! That's happened to me about that much too! My speed's not terrible. I usually get pretty close to 3mbps. Never any over that...
Did you see they cut the data limit down for the $60 plan? It was 2gb, now its 1GB!! That's bull****!

That's about what I'm getting in Dallas/Fort Worth too. I saw that it said 1GB+ but I've been using about 2GB per mo. guess I'll see this month as I just recharged on the fourth. One of the reps I spoke with said they are coming out with a new $65 plan that would be "Truly unlimited" for whatever that's worth..lol more Bait and switch probably. It is some major bull**** though, if the inspire supported the 1700Mhz band, my ass would be on Simple Mobile by now. Worst Customer service of ANY company I've ever dealt with.

I've always had good luck with the people I reach. Granted its a minimum 20 minute hold but I guess that's the price you pay. I was using Straight Talk service but their customer service was full of idiotic foreigners but the $45/mo was nice!

Same here... LTE is dead and 4G is cutting in and out.
Tried several different radios and get the same result.

One of my friends in Florida texted me awhile ago complaining about LTE cutting in and out. Apparently it was just a fluke. My LTE here in Indiana is fine.

My LTE here in Dallas is horrible right now. I can't even run a speed test on it.
I have restarted phone, shut down, even battery pulled and nothing.

Yep. I am in Dallas and my LTE is painfully slow. Cannot connect to mail or download any apps.

Called AT&T and there is a data connectivity issue being worked on(at least for Plano/Little Elm/Frisco area.

Conway, AR here... I'm having terrible connectivity on HSPA+. I was actually about to change my radio. I'm using the note radio but until today I never had a problem with it. seems like I'm not the only one with issues.

Call AT&T and get added to the problem list. The more people who report it, the higher the severity it gets and the more people they assign to fix it.

Been on the phone with them for 45 minutes. They reset their end. had me check my apn's (fine of course), factory reset (pain in the a$$), and now they told me I can stop by a store and get a new sim card. They claim to have no issues in the area. kinda a pain really!
*by lack of connectivity pretty much I cant access any webpages. not even sure if I can get an mms.. kinda sucks. I doubt it has to do with the note modem I have been using. I'm flashing the new leaks modem UCLD2 to see if that helps.

I would not have done a factory reset cause that has nothing to do with it. If your service was fine yesterday and is crap today, it's their network.

Curious what radio and rom are you using? I find it odd that we are all having connectivity issues. They told me they don't have any problems with the network in my area.

Yeah I'm in Dallas and LTE is barley functioning. Took about 20 minutes to get to this thread (oh how I wish I was exaggerating). I don't even want to guess how long its gonna take to post this once I'm done typing xD

Ok, so here's what I did...
When I started having the issues this morning I was on NexusMod Beta 3 with the UCLC5 modem. I then downloaded the new modem UCLD2 and flashed it... Still no good. so I called AT&T (see brief post above)... then I figured I'd try a new rom. I downloaded the new Sky ICS UCLD2 base followed the instructions there (even reflashed the UCLD2 modem). Still no luck so I reflashed the UCLC5 modem. Now I have connectivity again. I'm going to be watching it closely over the next few hours. Not sure if this will help anyone but It's so far working for me.

My friend at AT&T just texted me, issue resolved.

Ever since my speedtest performance has been abysmal: like 500kbps download.
I am on a grand fathered plan. Not sure if I am being throttled late into the month (I regularly use several gigs of data) or if something went with flashing.
I flashed CM10 back on (sept 13th nightly) and I get the same issues, around 500kbps. I did try CleanROM 4.5 DE, at one point it was getting 10000kbps.
I live in Santa Clara, CA. From my apt I normally get 27000kbps - 30000kbps.
Phone info:
3.0.8-CleanKERNEL-v1.1
Baseband version 0.16.32.09.01_3_10.79.32.08L
Network mode: GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto.

Flash the ril file associated with your baseband.

500kbps sounds like throttled. On unlimited plan, you get throttled after 5GBs on LTE (3GBs on HSPA).

I have not gotten an angry txt from at&t yet. I tend to if I go over. Perhaps I was on the edge of hitting my limit, and after the flashing the new rom the re-installation of my apps from google play and syncing of everything from gmail to facebook that's triggered the throttling. Guess I will just wait a couple weeks and see what happens. Basically general usage of my phone is fine, but my speedtest.net app's results are horrible at the moment. Unfortunately dont have a secondary phone to try with my sim card.
Edit: Just did the dialing of *DATA# on my phone and it seems I've used 6.4GB this month, with my billing period resetting in a couple days. Makes sense. Guess I will check then. Thank you all.

There is no more warning text IIRC. You automatically get throttled once over the limit. Thankfully, you still get 500kbps speed.
