I'm just wondering that if I purchased a skyrocket that was unlocked by the seller can I lock it back to AT&T once I get it? Is the unlock process anything similar to the process of rooting/unrooting the device?
LG Thrill 3D
Unlocked=universal! Any company in the world will work...why do you want to lock it to just one when is unlocked already? If is a skyrocket and not a sgs2 LTE, than all you have to do to lock it is flash the stock firmware using Odin and do a factory restore.
The thanks is not gonna hit by it self!

Hello,
I recently just purchased a Samsung Vibrant T959 (T-mobile) phone from ebay that was already rooted and has Froyo 2.2 installed.
I am actually from Canada, and the phone is from the US, so I need it unlocked so that I can use it on a carrier in Canada.
Is it okay to unlock it, when it is rooted and has Froyo 2.2 installed?
Will I run into any trouble or what do I do? I have no idea how to get the phone back to the original state, and I prefer froyo over the original stock rom.
If anyone could help, that would be appreciated.
Thanks!!
You can get the Unlock code from Online site and Unlock it.
Hi Everyone,
I using a Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727 and flashed few ROMs by using Clockworkmode recovery. But it still ask for the network unlock code i.e. I can't get rid of the network lock ?
I have removed the network lock of an Inspire 4G few months back by flashing a new ROM. Wondering why I cant do the same thing on this new SGH-I727.
-Thanks in advance
Nayanaith.
It does not work that way. you need to go here if you want it network unlocked http://www.cellunlock.net/.
Yes dude, but I can get it easily by a Google search.
I am certain I did it for HTC Inspire 4G which I am using right now. I wonder why I can't do that for this Skyrocket.
On the inspire there was a way to sim unlock the phone after your S-off and all that, the Skyrocket does not have a software way to unlock atm. To unlock and use for other sims you have to purchase an unlock code through a third party.
Hi
I would like to root my att s2 lte phone (gingerbread v3.2.6 ) which has been unlocked by someone I paid.
I was wondering if there's a safe rooting method that would not touch the unclocked state as I don't want to pay again for unlocking.
thanks
If it's unlocked, it will remain unlocked no matter how you root, or what you flash. as long as they put in the carrier unlock/subsidy code, it will never relock itself.
Thanks!
But do you know the best method to safely root 2.6.35.11 sky rocket?
I smell another brick. Another brick in the wall.
Recently, I messed up real bad and I accidentally installed the firmware of a Verizon GS3 on a T-Mobile GS3. Now it is a Verizon phone :c I already rooted it so I can replace the firmware with a T-Mobile TouchWiz Stock ROM. All I need is the last step: to unlock the bootloader. Can someone (or anyone) please help me remove it? I am currently mentally constipated by the problem and I just have only a couple steps until I return it back into a T-Mobile Galaxy S3. Now that's the question. Here's the story of how it is what it is right now.
So one day, I was rooting my phone to install CyanogenMod because I wanted something similar to 4.2.1 Jellybean. I did everything except I didn't delete the Dalvhik Cache. So when everything was loaded, I see that my phone cannot open the PlayStore. In my mind, I reflect back a couple minutes in the past just to remember I didn't clear what I needed to. Idiotic me goes off and attempts to erase CyanogenMod 10 and I get stuck in a boot loop. I am in a state in which I call "mental constipation". I then accidentally and foolishly install the Verizon GS3 ROM and BOOM. I am in a worse situation. Fast forward today, I root the phone but as a Verizon Galaxy S3. I am almost done but I need to just unlock the bootloader and I am set to return it back into a T-Mobile GS3. So, can someone please tell me how to unlock the Verizon GS3's bootloader?
tl;dr turned T-Mobile GS3 into a Verizon GS3 and I need to unlock boot loader
Hi, so basically i just signed up with tmobile and their jump program, for those that dont know its where you pay 10 bucks a month and u can get another phone twice a year, however you have to return your phone before getting another one, anyways my question is is it possible to make a backup of the original img of the stock firmware or rom before rooting, and then reinstalling the stock back when the time comes in to turn it in for another phone, i heard somewhere that they can tell if your phone has been flashed even if original firmware was put back, is this true? the phone i have is lg g2. ty
There are quite a few articles out there on unrooting the G2. Shouldn't be a problem to unroot and go back to stock recovery/stock ROM. Most CSR's are only going to check the rooting status in the "About Phone" "Status" area.
While you can unroot and go back to stock they can tell if the bootloader has been tampered with I.e. unlocked and locked. With T-Mobile they don't include your phone in your rate so you're best off just buying a good phone that you own and keeping it.
