Hi all,
I had a few apps on the Play Store some months ago, which got removed after Google decided to ban me from the Play Store for who knows what reason. Apparently the cause was the "sexy" nature of the apps, which still doesn't explain why my app got kicked out and so many apps that are much worse than mine still live there.
Well, anyway, I've decided to put them all back online on a website for users to download, so if you're interested in them feel free to download them and give me some feedback! All the apps have a brief descriptions and screenshots:
drfeelgoodsw . appspot . com (sorry, being a newbie no link allowed...)
They're all apps to quickly access galleries of well known sexy and gossip websites (Front Magazine, The Sun Page 3, Egotastic and so on), and they all allow you to mark those galleries as favourites, save them on your SD card, etc. Nothing fancy but I hope you'll enjoy them nevertheless! If you have any suggestion on how to improve them, or just know some other website you'd like a similar app to be made for, I'd love to hear it from you
They must have been deleted again because nothing comes up in a search for them

Sorry, I should have been clearer... by "back online" I actually meant they were available again on the web page I created for the purpose, not on the Play Store. I tried publishing them on Android PIT after they were removed from the Play Store, but that only lasted a few weeks, as apparently Android PIT only hosts apps that are also on the Play Store (quite silly of them, considering they're supposed to be an alternative market, but anyway...). I'm looking for other markets to publish the apps on, but until then the apps are available for download on the page I linked in my previous post. Those apps automatically look for updates using a JSON string on the same page, so updates should be easy to keep track of even without a Market in place.
No feedback? Either the apps are perfect the way they are, or they really suck!!

Also, I suspect that people are getting a bit wary of sideloading apks when they could be malware. That's unfortunately a level of trust you lost when you were banned from the play store.

Oh, I hadn't thought about that...
Well, if that can help, I can post a screenshot of the mail from Google describing their exact reason why I got banned, which had nothing to do with malicious behaviour in my app. That said, anyone can just monitor the traffic my app generates, and see that, apart from an update check at the beginning (a GET to retrieve a JSON file), the only connections are towards the website each app is wrapping. I would be quite dumb to post malicious apps on an expert den of Androiders like XDA Developers anyway ehehe
Anyway, if that can help I ca post the complete source code of one of the apps to let people check that everything's fine. The core of the apps is mostly the same (activities, sqlite database, image cache, httpclient+jsoup), apart from differences related to their structure (e.g., Page3 has much more activities and choices than GQ), so that should help understand I'm not hijacking anything. Of course, you could object there is no guarantee the code I'm posting is exactly the one used to generate the APKs, as we'd be back to the trust issue at the beginning...
Well, if there's any way I convince those in doubt that I'm in good faith just let me know. About the Play Store, unfortunately there's no way I can get back there. In the mail I received, I was told I was banned and that I could not open a new account to publish the apps again, so that's out of the question. Android PIT only accepts apps that already are on the store, so no go either. I tried other markets like Androlib and SlideMe, but both failed to send me the confirmation mails I needed to confirm the account, so I'm wondering if they're even a viable solution for developers right now. I've already discarded the Amazon App Store option, as there's an annual fee the likes of which only Apple could conceive. Anyone knows more alternatives to publish apps?
The Play Store "Error retrieving information from server. RPC:S-5:AEC-0" problem seems to be quite pervasive across a wide range of devices.
In summary, the device suddenly begins to toast the above error message when updating or re-installing paid apps. The "(installed) My Apps" list is sometimes truncated, and the "(all) My Apps" list displays the error message and a retry button. Once it appears, for some users (myself included) even wiping and re-flashing the device won't make the error go away.
I just got off the phone with Play support. Even though I had just flashed my device, they asked me to remove my Play account from system settings, then reconnect it by opening Play and following the prompts. This produced the error.
They then asked me to wipe data on Google Services Framework, reboot the phone, and try to check my apps lists in the Play app. This, also, did not work.
After about 10 minutes I received this message from the Play support representative:
Hello!
Thanks for contacting Google Services Framework and for providing details about the issue you’re having on Google Play Based on the information you sent along, it appears you’re experiencing issue #7582577 from our known issues page, which is characterized by:

AUGH
They've been working on this known issue for almost three months, and there are no workarounds at this time?!? I can recover using a Nandroid but some of my apps require Play authentication ------ is there any way around that?!
Has anyone else found the magic bullet which kills this error dead even when it persists after a device wipe and reflash?!
Getting the error here on 2 asus tf300tg a gs2 and sony mint.

Early on, before I wiped and re-flashed my device, I was able to trick it into working by clicking through the error and trying again, rapid-fire. Eventually that stopped working.
That worked the last few days indeed, but since a hour or 4 5 it's completely broken.

Interesting. I logged into Wallet and changed my default card, then switched accounts in Play, first to another Google account, then back to my regular account. I was able to purchase an app! ........but no joy on the updates.
Would be nice if we could figure out a workaround or steps that we can take like the previous post to rebuild our "corrupt" Google Play accounts. This is definitely a Google server-side issue and has very little (or nothing) to do with our devices. Currently i am unable to access my paid apps (or any previously downloaded free apps) on 3 different devices using my primary Google account. I have spoken with Google tech support (3 times now) and they've acknowledged there is a known issue but currently have no resolution or workaround. This has caused a couple of my paid apps to stop working since the app no longer shows as purchased. This seems to be an issue that has become more prevalent in the past week with more and more people reporting the same problem.
Before anyone tries to offer the standard advice of clearing data for Google Play and Google Framework...or removing and re-adding the Google account...those fixes do not apply for this issue since the account has become corrupted in some form or fashion on Google's servers. In fact, one Google tech suggested that I create a new Google account and contact the developer of each of my paid apps and have them transfer the app to my new account...WHAT??? Unfortunately that may only be the only real viable option at this point for people that have been affected by this obvious bug in Google's system.
Suddenly my updates are working for paid and free apps. *Did someone fix something or is this a fortuitous occurrence?!?

It looks like Google actually fixed the issue with corruption in the Google Play profiles. I noticed my apps were showing up again this morning. Still wasn't recognizing my paid apps...but clearing data on Google Play Store and Google Services Framework and then a reboot fixed that issue. So everything is working on all my devices again and I think my blood pressure is lower now as well

Google may have fixed this problem for some but many still have the same issue.
I've been part of a closed beta user group helping on an app called Bridge which mirrors your notifications across all your Android devices.
They just rolled out in open beta limited to 5000 users and asked me as a senior member on XDA to assist in getting more users to help test during the beta.
Bridge not only mirrors but also let's you reply, like delete etc. Basically everything as the original notification on your other devices.
They've also implemented two-way sync meaning if you dismiss your notification on one device, it dismisses it on all your devices.
You can read more and download it from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xitlabs.bridge
You can report suggestions & bugs directly through the app.
I've been using it for about a month on my tablet and smartwatch (KW88 running full Android 5.1) and it has been working pretty good.
Even though it still has some bugs here and there (which they hope you can help squash), I must say it is pretty convenient getting all my notifications on my watch and tablet.
Below I've copied the main points from their own Play Store listing
? Mirror your notifications to other Android devices
? Reply, Like, Delete etc. directly from another device
? Two-way sync - all your devices interact with each other
? Whitelist - control which apps that can mirror notifications
? Encryption - all data between devices can be encrypted
It offers 14 days trial and costs $1.99 to unlock for life.
The link directly to joining the beta is

Hello,
I would like to try this app, but I cannot install on my smartwatch, while on my phone installation and setup works fine. If I search the app through the play store of the watch it doesn't find it, and if I click on the link it open play store but then it says the app is non existent.
I have a Lemfo Lem8, it isn't compatible then?
Thank you
Hey everyone, I hope everyone reading this thread is safe & well.
So this week I thought I'd ask everyone how they are getting on with HMS over GMS with some additional details -
For myself I was moulded by Google Mobile Services it is every well made, streamlined and efficient for day to day use and tweaking myself to use Huawei Mobile Services has been the better end of okay but still some major tweaks needed such as -
Apps / Services need to be located in one pre loaded folder
Services need to be shouted about more
Mapping services aligned to apps - such as Uber It would be nice to see driver's ETA
In app purchasing
For me these are key devolvement's and hope Huawei is working on these for update in 2020, What are you missing from GMS to HMS and how has the transition been for you?
Look forward to your answers
one thing im missing, Barclays banking and that's it! I can cast to a smart TV, I can do youtube/spotify etc just need to be able to control the wife spending the joint account savings! #fact
Barclays Banking - I'm happy enough to use it via the browser for the time being, as it's an app I only use a few times a month but would be nice to see added!
YouTube via Browser just isn't a full time solution for me - discovering Vanced has been a saviour (it's now on my P30 Pro too)
Google Drive and Photos was one that I didn't think I used at all, but is one of those things upon using a HMS device you realise you do! (Drive for WhatsApp backup and Photos was a nice background back up I never thought about) - I have since swapped over to Huawei's cloud making use of the 50GB free for 1 year offer and I've been pleasantly surprised at how well made and easy it is to use - not something that can always be said about their in-house solutions if we're being honest.
Google Maps was never used as navigation for me but more for visualising routes via a browser search - which it still works via - Have always used Waze or in car Sat Nav.
Never been interested in NFC payments and assistants, but will be interest to give them a go once Celia? and Huawei Pay improve/go live!

Interesting read, my take on it is that services are already pre loaded in to a folder like music, video, themes, health which is cool. apps as we now know can be sourced via petal search but it would be good if that was preinstalled, which i believe is starting to happen. Uber is one to be looked at. but you do now have bolt which does them same thing and can be found in App store. Services have a fairly big exposure already. Its on FB, Insta, Tiktok, TV adds. what else do you feel they could be doing?
Hope you are having a good day.
For me the biggest thing I am missing is the starbucks app. I am guessing that it works via GMS mapping. But just after it for my reward cards.

Petal Search Find Apps is great hands down, I have used Bolt and it is great to have this app on board so early as Bolt is going to be the next best thing for Uber like services also having the big branded apps on board is great.
I think (probably is happening in the background) HMS should be bringing in app purchases, mapping system in line app usage for apps like Pokémon Go / Uber etc
It would also be great to see App Gallery on app commercials like how it says available on Google Play Store, Apple Store etc this gets the brand out in to the public domain a lot more.

No I will still keep GMS as play store is still working and I'm able to access my paid apps. Guess I will live with this error till some better fix comes up.
I'm having this problem ever since purchasing this phone, and it's really annoying. Sometimes I find out some games or apps I purchased from Google Play appear with the price tag, like if I never purchased them before. This happens also with subscriptions, I think is something about Xiaomi and Google maybe? The only solution I have found is clearing data/cache from Google services, framework and Google Play, then removing my Google account, restart the device and the sign in again with my account in Google. But doing this like every two weeks is frustrating sometimes it happen more often and I don't know what to do. I have the global version (MI) installed can someone please help? Does anyone have this issue as well? Thanks.
I got tired of the problems with Playstore paid apps and avoid them whenever possible and buy to app directly from the developer* if possible.
It's to the point now that I package and firewall block Playstore. Once a paid app is activated many times this and firewall blocking the app stops annoying "Do you wish to upgrade" etc bs.
Lol, I have Samsung Androids and similar issues. It's more like Playwhore...
*Google's pay protection is a sick joke. Just do a charge back on the card if you must. Most developers though provide good support. I haven't had issues outside of Playstore.
$5 is chump change but the time wasted trying to bring Playstore in line is far more costly!!!
Hmm, I have made purchases while being on MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 12.5 (EU) (debloated) . I had no issues with single/subscription purchases.
Are you sure you did not end up disabling some necessary background service from Google or Xiaomi?
Maybe a hard reset or switching to a debloated version of MIUI might help but this sounds more like a particular service not functioning properly.
