Kernel suggestion

Hello all I m new in SGSL forum so for some days I will be asking question so don't get exhausted .
I am searching for some good kernel, I am not asking for overclock kernels, I want a kernel which has no overclock,
Should be fast, stable, without bugs, which has lots of governor (smartass v2, interactive etc.) And should not be in beta version.

use doomlord's UC kernel. Non OC is also available in it. And its a kind request that u should plz request ur questions in this thread only. Don't creat new thread for each single questions.

Hi,
i use vurrut v8, its seems good!
anyway i suggest if you want battery using stock kernel or UC Kernel not overclocked, DO NOT USE OTHER PHONE KERNEL, USE ONLY I9003 THINGS
what do you prefer? battery or performance?
if battery use
oc kernel v7 NO-OC with interactiveX governor
performance:
vurrut v8_beta1 Smartassv2 1350 Overclock
Nothing to hard ^^
Battery life- scary/lionheart and bfq
Uc kernel v9 is awesome, esp the recovery
Cheers

What are you doing on Froyo?
Come on! Update your phone!
Nothing happens!
If you want help, I am there to do so
Anything in flashing!
And, Yep, The UC kernel is real good.
As an alternative you can also go for vurrut!

[Q] Overclock with cm7.2 rom

for the longest time I have tried to OC my g2x without any luck. Probably the reason why it never OC was because I ran on the Cm7 generation roms. But because there was a recent update (cm7.2) I'm wondering if someone has figured out how to overclock with this rom.
Current phone stats:
Kernal: 2.6.32.55-cyanogenmod [email protected]
Rom: cyanogenmod 7.2.0 RC1 p999
Perhaps I can flash a new kernal that you guys can recommend and OC my phone.

Voodoo kernel

Thanks UnknownzD for making a raise development graph for our device. Please keep it going
The posts by UnknownzD about the kernel and now ardadart's 1.7b has confused me a little so which one can i try? I mean what will be safe?
I m on titanium S v2.1 rom with ardadart's kernel v1.5
Sent from my GT-I9103 using xda premium
if you are using Titanium ROM use Unknown kernel because its designed for XWLA ROM.
Ardatdat had released 1.7b2 (kernel with voodoo sound based on XWLA4),try that one...
I am using it and works great...
Download Link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?by26ah33aw2cdv9
I'm using ultimate kernel and I prefer it. It's more smooth than ardatdat in my opinion...
two kernels (ardatdat & ultimate) are greats!!!!
Thanks to developers for all your hard work!!

Other Kernels for [ROM][ICS][IMM76L] CyanogenMod 9 by ivendor - beta 2 ( I9001 )

Hello, i have downloaded and flashed my I9001 with [ROM][ICS][IMM76L] CyanogenMod 9 by ivendor - beta 2. I have a question about that rom. Can other kernels be installed using that Rom so that it can be overclocked and thus resulting in more performance. Im asking that because that Rom is quite perfect( ignoring the camera problem which after 5 pic gets jammed!). It would be nice if other kernels could be used. Im looking foward to know about it. Thanks in advance and cheers
Hi.!! 4.0.4 roms with aokp or cm9 sources used Vitality kernel before cm9 build 5 and Arco's new kernel.. So try if u can flash and use Vitality kernel
* sorry for my English

You shouldn't use that kernel, it's very outdated. The only ICS kernel that is updated frequently is the CastagnaIT Kernel. I would recommend to use that one if you want OC/UV support

[REQ] KQM Kernel with OC @ 1,8 Ghz

Hey guys,
Since im a heavy gamer ( Modern Combat 2/3/4,N.O.V.A 3,NFSMW and some other games ) i decided to take my phone back to stock KQM with root. I previously was on CM10 but the gaming behavior of it is just awful. I didnt managed to play a online round of MC3 to the end. It crashed, or lost Wifi connection every single time.
KQM is way better for gaming. Its almost fluid all the time, but i didnt managed to get it complete fluid. Sometimes there are lags for 10 - 15 seconds, and you know what that means for a FPS Gamer, its horror! And you want to throw your phone against the wall when youre in a 14 kill streak and it lags and you get killed one frag away from a nuke. AHHH. (Still better than CM10 where its around 12FPS all the time).
So im kindly asking someone to build a stock KQM Kernel with the ability for Overclock, and if its possible some shedulers. I think im not the only one who needs this and who would use it all the time.
I would do it myself, but i dont have the hardware for it, my CPU (my pc is from 2006) doesnt support x64 and i cant compile anything on it.
Thank you for your time. :good:
P.S: I know this is dev section, but cmon, who reads the I9000 General?? No one.

Why don't you use skyhigh?
You can't modify the kqm kernel itself. You can only use the provided sources by Samsung.

Hey XellaR*! Samsung just released the source for 2.3.3,
the Kernel from the first stock rom.
We don't have the source for the "new" 2.3.6 Kernel, that's why we cannot update...
greets,
EDIT: Do you know why the Q&A thread isn't sticky anymore?
Hi all,
I will try it but i can't give guarantee

Thank you guys! I didnt knew lamesung didnt released the 2.3.6 Sources. Thats even more hilarious than the fact they didnt provide us with a4.0.

I dont know, ill ask a mod.

Thanks for your efford.

64bit OS is not mandatory. 32bit works as well as long as the toolchain supports it. I wouldn't use a VM on 32bit though.
Regarding the KQM kernel.. I would try to find the OC/UV constants on binary level and patch the kernel directly. One possible way would be to compile two minimalistic kernels with both values (stock <> oc) and compare them. If you get the constants apply them to the KQM binary.
On the other hand... the 3.0 kernel is ready. It should kick any 2.3 kernels ass. Probably not worth the hassle at all...
Edit: You could also try to load the kernel directly into decompilers/disassemblers to find the constants. Maybe that's easier...
Very strange. I experienced gaming problems with ICS but not with JB... Very fluent. I am using slimbean!

Great, so the rules, obviously do not apply to you.
Next time post in the correct sections or your threads & your ability to post in dev sections will be removed. XDA does not exist for you alone.
Thread Closed.
