Hi all,
I'm here because I need your help...
Days ago I installed on my TF101G the recovery CWM 5.8.1.8...
now I can just go into recovery mode and if I try to mount /data I receive the message "no location found"...
how can I push a Rom on my TF to try to install it?
thanks in advance for your help
how to flash a ROM
The ROM to be flashed must be cwm flashable, you cannot flash official firmware unless it is repacked to be cwm flashable.
Your ROM must be a zip file, do not unzip it.
Copy (or adb push) the ROM to /sdcard/
Reboot tab into recovery.
Follow cwm flash instructions. There are many such a manual available on-line, one of them is:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...-and-how-to-use-it-on-android-complete-guide/
You can just jump to section "apply update from sdcard", which tells you how to use cwm recovery to flash a ROM
One thing you should pay attention is:
if the ROM to be flashed is only a update to your current ROM, do not do any wipe work.
If it is a new ROM, you must do the wipe.
You can also try this....
hi Fenice82,
read this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213723
and read message 1 and 313 for mounting and the adb commands for sending cmw flash file to your internal card of your TF.
Make sure you have the cwm flashable rom file on you computer in the adb dir.
good luck.
I'm hege again...
thk nlheiz for your post...
I push the rom in my TF... I tried different location...
data/media
or
data
or
system
or
sdcard
or
sdcard/rom
if I go in adb shell and I use command mkdir to make a new folder like system, data, sdcard I see the the file already exist...
but my tf "can't mount /sdcard/" and at the same time if i try to mount /data from recovery I see the message
"Error mounting /data!"
what can I do now?
edit... maybe this can help you...
via ADB shell
mount data
mount: mounting /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 on /data failed: Invalid argument
How about restore stock recovery and ROM? Here is a recent guide for root/unroot/downgrading:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1622628
I don't have experience with cwm 5.8.1.8, I stayed on 3.2.0.1 because it is possible to flash from external sdcards.
cold you try this:
put our tablet into cwm (volume - plus power and when asked volume +) and connect it to usb on pc.
then on your pc:
adb devices
this should give you a serial number back.....
then try this:
to mount the internal sdcard so that you can push a new rom- use
adb shell
mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 /data/
ls /sdcard/
exit
then from your pc, type:
adb push /path/to/your/rom.zip /data/media
I found this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23256536 in post 3......
let me know if this works

Dear All,
I need to update my stock ROM which is on GB 2.3.6 to Sexnogen based JB 4.1.2. I checked the dev forum but there is no detailed step described. Does it require moving to any CM based ROM first from GB or I can diretly flash the ROM from recovery mode. Highly appreciate if somebody can provide step by step break down.
My device is already rooted.
PS: am on GB 2.3.6/DDLF2
Thanks in advance.

You can just flash CF root for KPE via Odin.
Then turn off your phone. Press volume down + home + power. The phone will go to Cwm. So you can flash zip file ass instruction above
Don't forget to copy zip file to your sdcard

Hi !
I have flash CyanogenMod 9.1 beta 2 cooperve (galaxy ace s5830i). First I try it from CM 7.2 RC4 : flash kernel biels 4.0, reboot CWM after that mount data, system and install zip from SD card and reboot phone.
I try it from stock rom too - Download EXT4 tool, the Kernel and the Rom on device,
Flash on Samsung recovery Biels temp. CWM.
When you are on the Temp. CWM, flash the EXT4 Formatter tool, so whole system will be converted to EXT4. (Stock filesystem is RFS)
After the installation, flash my kernel you have downloaded before.
When the Kernel is installed, go, on the CWM, to advanced --> reboot recovery (this will reboot the device, and turn it on on the new CWM of kernel)
Wipe data, cache and dalvik
(IMPORTANT) Go to mounts and storage, and make sure system is mounted (will show unmounted), if it shows unmounted, click it twice, to make sure!
Go to install zip from SD Card, after that reboot phone.
In both cases i have got the same problem. In the first case rom boot up, but too many bugs, force closes...(It doesnt look like HW is fixed fully)
In second case, I got bootloop or rom boot up but it shows - setup wizard.it force closes on setup wizard.
What did i do wrong ???

Hello Developers
Today I am going to share a huge soultion for a critical Question
FIRSTLY I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OF YOUR PHONE
Nowadays We get bored in using our STOCK ROM
CUSTOM ROMS brings new features ,,new looks ,,Prerooted service,,and much more....
Installing custom roms need UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER WITH ROOTED DEVICE
Now i am going to show you how we can install custom roms in our Xperia phones
Here we go for installation guide and Instructions..
WHAT WE NEED:--
1.Unlocked bootloader (which voids warranty)
2.Rooted Phone
3.Having flashed kernel which have any recovery whether is it CWM or TWRP
4.You must have a NANDROID backup of your whole system
5.You must have your STOCK.FTF file
6.Zip file of your downloaded custom rom..
7. PATIENCE
So lets start Installing custom ROM
1. Move your downloaded ROM.ZIP to Root sd card using any file manager..
2. Boot to CWM recovery mode using VOL KEYS AND POWER KEY (depends on your kernel)
3. Make a NANDROID backup using CWM
4.Go to MOUNT AND STORAGE
5. do a FORMAT of your SYSTEM
6. MOUNT DATA
7. MOUNT SYSTEM
8. MOUNT SD CARD
9. Go back and hit power button on INSTALL ZIP FROM SD CARD
10. CHOOSE ZIP FROM SD CARD
11. then hit YES install it anyway
12. Done
13. REBOOT
