Is there any way to test rom before flashing cause i am afraid that my phone may be bricked?
There's Either Everything Or There's Nothing.
Decide.
hey man
there's no way
do a full backup with CWM and backup userdata with titanium...
and you can test roms how many you want

the problem that my phone was bricked and It was repaired so I`m afraid from bricking it again
if you're careful and follow instructions sincerely, there's almost ZERO chance of a brick.
I tried 7-8 ROMs in December without a brick. The biggest problem i faced was an infinite boot loop.
attention.install Rom specially for your smart phone.
for example dont install Galaxy mini ROM on your Samsung galaxy FIT!

Hi, Small help required:crying:
I installed CWM 4 thru Odin without taking a backup or whatsover on my Stock ICS 4.0.4 on the Galaxy R. Everything was fine and i was able to access CWM, but my phone would be stuck at the Galaxy R logo screen. Tried everything from wipe dalvik to cache partition. But the phone wouldnt just recover
Then i flashed into Rootbox Vanilla JB ROM which was unstable and then to Avatar ROM which was fine but the WIFI was not working. Battery drain was huge.
Disappointed and flashed back to Stock ROM thru Odin which has the stock Android recovery. But now Wifi is not working
Baseband :I9103DDLP3 , Kernel : [email protected]#1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Nov 28 14:28 KST 2012 , bUILD # IMM76D
I would love to have a solution from all the guys, infact i would love to have 2
1. How to fix my wifi issue in my present ROM (reflashed 4 times to no use, restarted phone, enabled flight mode and off, factory reset several times)
2. I couldnt find a stable custom ICS ROM if i wanna flash again
Kindly help as my beloved 9103 is lying around with no use. Have to be contented with just a nokia 1100:crying::crying:
Why do you experiment and flash roms blindly if you don't know what you are doing? A small reading before flashing would have given you the procedure to be followed. BTW you still didn't give enough information about the state of your device right now. Which rom did you flash with Odin? Also, NEVER wipe data/cache/factory reset/format/anything similar on ICS. You are still on the ICS kernel. You are very lucky if you haven't bricked your eMMC yet.
@Nikhil or Disturbed™ will give you the procedure to follow.

Hi Adam,
I understand that i was a bit hasty in doing that. I flashed I9103XWLP8 ROM thru Odin finally when nothing worked out. Everything is fine now except the wifi. I am worried to use the eMMC brick bug app to check whether i bricked my eMMC. Would love to use a custom ICS/JB ROB under proper guidance, or advising where to look up

Hope you have taken EFS backup if not then its really very difficult to recover the IMEI Number... Better Go to Service Center and just tell them that you are not able to receive the calls and don't tell all this stories...

Just flash your country's firmware using ODIN & do check your binary counter in Download mode & yellow triangle also.
If all are fine then they willn't even know what happened.
I was an idiot and tried flashing some zips that bootlooped my 1+1. Now I can't boot into the OS, but I can boot into TWRP and fastboot. I'm not sure what files to download at this point, I've looked at the Android development section and am confused how to flash the phone back to stock. Any help would be appreciated!
Umm... Maybe try wiping data? Just a guess, since I don't own the phone, it's just the general thing to do at a bootloop on 99% of the cases on all phones.

Hey guys, I installed the latest Pac-Man Rom on my brand new Moto Q.. and now my phone is bricked. Stuck on boot animation. I tried to ADB but can't connect anymore... any tips?
Can you get to the recovery?

Yes, I can get to recovery.. and I got some new ADB driver to work. So I was able to sideload a different rom. However, it is also stuck in bootloop. Is there anything special that needs to be done, before a rom actually will work? or have I just had bad luck with the two roms I tried?
Third ROM was the charm, it is working now! Thanks!
Glad to hear you got it working!
I had the same problem, I tried infusion, then another ROM and both failed...it scared the life outta me that I may have bricked but good old paranoid android saved me :3
After I rooted my Note 5 the phone will randomly restart/reboot. Sometimes it happens hours in between each other and sometimes it's minutes in between. I factory reset it I've tried unrooting through SuperSU I've flashed a different rom, the phone would still restart randomly after that. I'm just getting tired of my phone restarting during calls. Someone plz help me I don't want a refurbished phone from my cellular provider ...

Well if you did some more research you would see that it's your kernel causing problems. I won't tell you what kernel to flash because that would be too easy.

Try skyhigh kernel 2.1 and you're laughing. [emoji5] [emoji5]
I'm having that same issue. I rooted using the guide on here, using Oden, TWRP, and the Noble root Kernal. The phone is only rebooting while making phone calls. It usually happens right around 1 minute into the phone call. I have searched on here and tried coming up with something onew google. From what I have read is it something wrong with the kernal? Just hoping someone can point me in the right direction on how to correct this problem, and is all that needs to be done is flash a different kernal? If so what kernel should I use. Sorry for hijacking your thread, just didn't want to make another one asking the same question. Any help is greatly appreciated
It's a kernel issue, guys. Flash a different one and you should be good.
That's kinda what I gathered, just wanted to verrify that was the issue before I went screwing around and messed something up, thanks for the reply though.
What kernel should we try ? I'm on a tmobile note 5
Well I'm running forever Loco rom no mods except for what comes with rom as stated b4 I have went back to stock backup and still the same problem if anyone who posted in the thread would be so kind to tell me which kernel I should try would be gladly appreciated

If you don't know what you're doing then you should do plenty of research... You shouldn't ever "screw around" if you don't know what you're doing. Keep reading and learn how to properly flash everything before you do this stuff or else you'll end up with a fancy paperweight.

You need to flash that file through custom recovery. You have to download it to your phone then boot into your custom recovery to install it. Just follow the directions on aryer97's thread where you downloaded the kernal.

Well if you follow the correct procedures, you may be successful the Marshmallow didnt work out for me maybe because I messed up somewhere and im not sure whats gonna happen so TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK bro and i think the root will remain safe, and if not you can always root it because once you'v rooted a phone and lose the root its quite easy to get the root back.
