Htc Hd2 is a Windows OS phone and Android has been ported to it.

Also windows os is closed source so i think it would be illegal to port it

!
Dont post this kind of thing in development god dammit, learn to use formus or dont use them.and yeah it is stupid since hd2 is windows powered.

Buy a windows phone instead ...

Don't need to be so aggressive. This thread should be in the general section though, labelled request.
On topic- like devilhell said, I think its closed source , so porting it wouldn't be such a good idea

If you wanted an android device you should of bought one, although most HTC devices are capable of running linux, no drivers exist and have to be written from scratch, i think the vogue is the only win mo phone with a flashable android rom
PS,
Android isnt all that .... lol you may end up with a grass is greener on the other side situation lol

I need Android software.

Hi, I have a HTC HD2 (WVGA) and I wanted to dualboot it but I can't find the
Android software.
Could someone give me a downloadlink for Android 2.1?
Thanks.
HD2 will never be able to run Android officially, but it may be developed by the community to port a working version of Android to HD2, otherwise I don't think it's going to happen any time soon, however don't hold my words. AS of now, you can't

It makes the phone able to boot android if a version of android has been ported to the device.. it has nothing to do with making android actually compatible with the phone...
once someone ports it to the device it should help..
No offence or anything, but why post this question in a forum that specifically says
"Technical discussion of Android development and hacking. No noobs please"

Mozilla's FirefoxOS posible tu port on sensation xe etc....???

hyee every one em not a developer and not have such information i read in on xda portal tht Mozilla's FirefoxOS is availble for htc hd2 my question is that is possible to port this os to our device??? yeah on hd2 its alpha and sum bugs i read but and also i saw why lots of good romz are not available for sensation like Lawa or baidu i use these on my Noir a10 clone like micromax canvas 2 in india and etc...thx in advance...
I don't think it's possible
Firefox OS > HTML5 based
Android OS > LINUX based
And about the roms : the problem that this is a dying device. But every once in a while we see something new. So it depends if the developers have time or not

Please don't post information when you have no idea what the correct answer is. This is 2 posts I've seen by you doing this tonight. It really lowers the quality of the board and can lead new members who don't know any better to learn things incorrectly.
