I just stumbled across this download page that has IMM26 ROM downloads. Each has only been downloaded a few times. Are these builds official?

No. Anyone can create a project on the Google project hosting site and upload files.
Thanks for the reply. I didn't know that.

That is relative. Those builds were not posted by Google. While one of them is signed and therefore should be safe, they have never been released as an OTA and how they were obtained is not known.

At request of mrxkills, the XDA user who initially leaked the IMM26 build, i just created the mirror for him. He posted 3 files: 1.) Odin3+v1.81.exe, 2.) IMM26.7z (Contains Kernel For ICS Wimax IDK Stuff) and 3.) IMM26.zip (IMM26 Production Firmware (Containing 3 tar files containing Bootloader, Radio, boot.img, recovery.img, system.img, userdata.img)). These are the files i labeled with "Original Leak" and have been released for the Nexus S 4G only.
The other files have been added, as they came out and are from the following sources:
[ROM][02 FEB] ICS 4.0.4 IMM26 for GSM Nexus S (port from Nexus S 4G) [mms fixed] by evilisto
[ROM][ICS][4.0.4](02/01/2012) nuhetri-reloaded v2.0.0 by irtehun
{STOCK ROM} UPDATED-->Stock 4.0.4 IMM26 Deodexed *Flashable Zips* by snandlal
Nexus S 4G (CDMA) - KL2 Radio + IMM26 System + Boot + ICUP Kernel (Flashable Zips) - ODEXED ROM by tylerwatt12

Relatively true. The files in that Google Code project site have been posted by me, not by Google. "My Sources" are listed above. The Initial leak by mrxkills is the signed package and is signed with Google's release keys. This is much likely (just assuming!) a build that has been released by Google, but not yet to the public rather than to any internal person(s) at Sprint only.

Wrong info. You're quoting the description text of those files, that are not labeled with "Original Leak". A more detailed description of the files that are not labeled with "Original Leak", can be obtained via the linked threads above. But actualy these files are derivatives of the originally leaked files.
The bottom line: These files are user uploads - none of them has been officially released by Google to the public! However there're reasons for considering them safe. But as always: use at own risk.
Hope this helps.
Edit: I've added the sources to the downdload descriptions.

Can I get the leaked 4.0.4, root it, and install a kernel with BLN and VooDoo?
If so, how?
I have a question that's bothering the heck out of me. Hopefully somebody can help me out.
I just successfully finished installing the IMM26 ICS 4.0.4 leaked files using Odin. All update instructions say to download 3 separate files:
Odin, IMM26.zip, and IMM26.7z.
And to unzip IMM26.zip files, resulting in 3 .tar files.
These 3 .tar files are loaded in Odin to flash the 6 things onto your phone (boot, bootloader, recovery, radio, system, userdata)
During the install process, nothing is mentioned about the IMM26.7z kernel files, and the files aren't used anywhere in this process from what i can see. Nobody explains how to update the kernel with these files. Am i missing something? Can anybody clear things up for me?
Thanks

I have decided to update my stock roms from the latest gingerbread release (4.54.651.1) These are stock, rooted, busybox, busybox run parts, and zip aligned. Odexed, Deodex'ed, and NON ROOT versions will be available. I hope these roms can be a base for all devs to use. Thanks!
these roms will not wipe your data. this rom is purely stock, after going through the thread here, i decided to leave it stock, as this is a base, there are plenty sense 1.0 roms (including mine ) that have mods baked into them.
download:
Odexed: stock_odex.zip - 200.1 MB
Deodex'ed : stock_4.54.651.1_deodex'ed.zip - 198.7 MB
Also made a NON ROOTED VERSION of this, for anyone who needs one an arm's length away. Same as above, but again NON-ROOTED. flashes the same way through amon ra or clockwork. this does not touch your revolutionary S-off, but as with any non rooted rom always have a backup in place
non-rooted download: stock-noroot.zip - 198.7 MB
Update zip file ONLY (from 4.53 to 4.54) (3.48mb)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UL6RRQCY
notes/revisions
10-25-11 initial upload
10-26-11 added non-root version
10/26/11 added just the update.zip from the rom
11/19/11 updated roms uploaded with ciq removed and apps updated from market
12/4/11 updated apps from market
12/24/11 re cooked rom, updated visual voicemail apk
1/17/12 made totally stock, updated all download links.
Thanks for posting.
Did you notice any changes?
anyone know what the security update was for?
EDIT. I found out. Any app could get user data off of the phone.

from my understanding, to fix some security and privacy "issues" the update was only 3.48mb .
i checked it out, the ota is to addrress a security vulnerability, a vulnerability that when a normal app, with only internet permissions was installed, it could read your esn,app usage, lots of phone info that u probably dont want it out.
Brad: good job, mine was uploading, you beat me,lol. damn internet connection.
I still see HtcIQAgent.apk there but it looks like they removed the worst offender which was HtcLogger.apk. I guess that is one way to address the security hole. I wonder if there are any other changes.

Could you list links to each modem individually along with the package. The package is nice and all, but I hate to have to download the entire package when a new modem comes out. Either that or dig through the leak thread for the first person to package it up. That is what made GTGs thread so amazing, having the individual link to each modem.
Update: tried KK1, got abysmal data speeds <.2 Mbps, KI3 is still king, followed by KJ2.

This tool will automatically deodex your AT&T One X if its rooted and has Busybox installed (one click root tool already does all of this for you). This should make it easier for folks to install modifications since we don't have a CWM .zip of deodexed files quite yet.
http://briefmobile.com/auto-deodex-tool-for-htc-one-x-att
Also, developers are encouraged to take a look at the batch commands. You guys can make custom ROM installers and such with very little effort. This will work until we have CWM.

I'm still new to Samsung, so someone correct me if I'm way off-base, but the gist I got was that when a new rom (or leak) comes from verizon, it includes rom+kernel+rpm+modem... which on an HTC device we called rom+kernel+firmware+radio. So my understanding is that if you just flash the new radios without the new firmware that matches up with what your dev used as a base, there could be compatibility issues.
(Much more knowledgeable people discussed this in the Cleanrom thread as in those links above).
i understand all of that...just trying to figure out what exactly is rpm. thx !

In simple terms if I understand correctly it installs files that you don't get in flashing a ROM. Gives you an option if you don't want to go back to stock via Odin and OTA back up to current version.

If you Odin to a prior version of stock, it should be included in the zip which simultaneously changes the modem. The reason an rpm is being discussed is because when flashing custom roms and modems, this isn't updated. Think of an Odin flash of older images as "reversing an update," all those same files are added when you accept an OTA, so they'll be changed if you Odin an older stock image.
If I'm wrong, I'll gladly redact my comment but that's what I understand from this discussion.

Thanks, it's starting to make more sense to me. I'm not unfamiliar with root but typically only do so to eliminate bloat, otherwise I'm happy with stock builds. The JB leak changed things a little so I want to get a better handle on what I'm installing and why.

flash back to stock and leave your device alone...pretty simple.
So if we revert to a ROM backup, do we need to manually turn back the rpm as well, like we do with the modem? Sounds like we need vrali5 for jb leak. I will play around with jb for awhile though go back to ICS for everyday stability use, until I find a jb I like. Do I need to revert the rpm when I restore ICS? Where do I find older rpms. Thanks.

Hi guys,
First I must begin by saying that I am not a developer. However, using this: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908008) thread, I have managed to "port" Android L to the One, though I have no clue if it even boots. There are a few problems that need to be discussed:
1) AOSP ROMs are around 400 mb? This one is 900+ mb.
2) When I was zipping the ROM, I saw Prism.apk was also in it, and a heck lot of other HTC related things.
3) Will the current kernel for KitKat work smoothly on L?
Anyway, this is my first step to being a potential developer and hope you all get excited for this. I do have one request though, if I can get a few devs to work with me on this, we can get to new heights on our One.
You can download the zip I created here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4JA1Kc3xlxiZUw2XzNzM1NKMVU/edit?usp=sharing

Did you miss the [Dev-Only] in the title? Every flash on your device could brick it if you aren't careful, nothing unique with this build. If you don't want to risk it, don't flash. Simple as that.

Sure: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4JA1Kc3xlxiWHJOV1JnS3FCRzg/edit?usp=sharing
But as far as I remember, I did not do anything to it. The base ROM that I used was a stock deodexed Sense 6 ROM and the port ROM I used was the system dump from Android L, if that helps.

Okay fine, all I'm saying is there's already a thread on this in the general section so its almost pointless to post something else if it hasn't even been tested or is just like the other. There's already work being done on this...

Im not a dev just a general user but I don't think we should be creating these types of threads if you don't know what you're doing. Let the real devs do their work if it was as easy as following a copy/pasting port guide every device would already have a l build. Just be patient and eventually a nice dev will maybe make some magic happen for us.

This ROM will not work, period. The reason is because you did not follow step 1 of the guide which states quite clearly:
"Take any clean CM9, AOSP, CM7, CM10, CM11 ROM which is running on your device as Base ROM."
Now, don't know about you but I do not think a stock deodexed Sense 6 ROM counts as any of those mentioned in step 1... that is why you are seeing HTC things in the ROM.

Ah. Thanks for pointing that out. I will update the zip file today.

It will not work just by using that guide; The bases are just too different.

no man, you can not do this because we have not a base for L! so it should be ported compiling source and fixing bug and issues...is not a thing that you find in a guide

I think your best bet would be to download the Nexus 5 sources and then do some "patchwork" with HTC One libs and whatnot, when needed. The good thing is that they are both at the same resolution and have similar specs.
And after you're done with that, you should be able to build with a couple of adjustments to various build-related things.
EDIT: Also, there will probably be issues with kernels? so you'll have to work through that also.

You can't be patching and copy/pasting libs. No zip modding when it comes to porting big base changes
You'll need to decompile and redo your ramdisk etc. And like jonny said you can't be using sense and gpe parts

Android L Keyboard in Play Store
I just wanted to note that there's a third-party application "Android L Keyboard" by Shen Le in the Play Store which I've been using on the latest CM11 nightlies that works great.
I understand that's not the point of this project but I just wanted to make sure other users are aware. Also, it's kind of scary to have to trust that a keyboard from the Play Store isn't logging and reporting your keystrokes but that's another issue entirely... anyways I added a screenshot, good luck with the project!
:good:
