Get desktop visualizer from the android market, and an icon pack (google search).
Save icon pack to SD card, then use desktop visualizer to create your custom icons for your apps.

some ROM's allow you to hold down an icon to change it with icons pre-installed on your SD Card.
Some icon themes can be installed through apps like ADW Launcher or Launcher Pro.
Its nice using Launcher Pro. It can install Icon Packs on the fly.
Yeah I'm familiar with launcher pro and adw themes and stuff but I want to modify icons on my htc with the sense launcher?

Try Folder Organizer lite on the Android Market.
http://market.android.com/details?id=com.abcOrganizer.lite
In the apps section, it allows you to change the icon for all apps. In order for the icon to show up on the home screen as modified, you need to add the app as a "Folder Organizer item" widget.

Using folder organized worked! Good enough for now. Now just got to figure out how to get that icon on my sense 3.0 lockscreen instead of using the stock application icon it makes me use.

Desktop Visualizer does exactlly what your asking...
You choose what apk you want launched...
Then you choose a img file you want to be displayed for that apk file

[Q] Q is there anyway to set a icon pack while keeping sense 3.0?

I rooted my sensation with the hope of customizing my icons without using adw and Lpp. I love sense 3.0 I just want a little more customization.
Thanks
No i think.
Thanks for the feedback
I use a program called Folder Organizer to use custom icons on my non-rooted Sensation as I like Sense as well but don't like text below my icons nor do I like the original icons either.

Folder organizer.... so with that would I download other icon packs? Or how does that work?
This program or lighter version app organizer just has its own icon packs and also can rip icons from any soft or game

[Q] Changing stock HTC icons

Is it anyhow possible to change the stock icons of apps in HTC without using any launcher app?? cause launcher apps don't allow to use widgets given by HTC...
You can't change the icons in he app draw (easily) . But you can change any icons on your home screen using desktop visualizer

Thanks man...

remove icon labels/names?

Is there an App or widget that would allow me to remove icon labels/names?
Haven't rooted yet so just running a stock Rom.
you can use desktop visualizer and keep shortcuts of your desired apps on the homescreen and you can remove the labels/names .....
In 3rd party launchers like ADW and Launcher Pro the option to hide app labels is there.
But if you really want to keep stock launcher I guess you could use Desktop. Visualizer to add a shortcut to the app and clear the label then use the icon from that app but it comes out a bit stretched out, unless you have custom icons in a higher resolution.

Bettercut will do that for you too.
GO Launcher EX has this option as well.
