Anyone know how to move the world files, like the 658 something MB of files to my external SD? They recently added a way to download it to the SD but i bought the game when that option was not in place. Anyone?

Have you checked in application management to see if you have the option to move it to your SD card from there? If they now support it, any update you have received for the game should have made the option available to you.
Yes but that does not move the whole game to the external sd. It just moves the application that access the world files

I'm not personally familiar with it, but I know people like an app called "titanium backup" . From what I know it is good at moving things to the SD card that normally couldn't be placed there. Look into that I guess.?
Thanks, I'll try that

Just wanted to add, your phone will have to be rooted for this... But if you really want that space freed off of your system storage, then rooting is usually your only option to do a LOT of things. I'm interested in knowing how the OP made out?
Im already rooted, im running custom firmware and kernals

Wasn't being sarcastic. Lol. It was a thought. Since that post I've experimented with titanium a little. It can't move all apps, but can move some. So how did OP make out with the file move project?

Hello,
I just got my Skyrocket yesterday and promptly rooted it. I uninstalled some of the more obvious AT&T applications but there were some I wasn't completely sure about; so I decided to wait, patience being a virtue and all.
So, has anyone (or will anyone) come up with a list of the apps we can safely remove from this device without it affecting the performance/capability of the phone?
Thanks in advance.

Good place to start on the subject.

since its not in our forum....
it would be a good idea for one the OP's to just add your threads Info in the OP of this thread. instead redirecting them to one NOT in our forum.
Yeah, not sure if this will come automatically for us rooted/rom'd folk.
So if you have this apk, please pass it along.
Thank you!
Guys we need this APK. Just as important as the dedicated Music apk. If someone has got this update please publish the APK for us
I find it odd that Google can roll out endless cloud services but rolling out market app updates is always a catastrophic failure.
The music store is useless on the device without the market update.
Certainly bandwidth is not an issue... Apple just rolled out a 700mb update to hundreds of millions of users with little problems

clear the market application's cache and data.
I did it on my rooted mytouch 4g, opened the market and it was there.
the market version number isn't updated.
That s always the caseļ¼
I just got mine OTA on my Nexus One running CM7. Looks tight.
Sweet. Ok, I just checked again literally a second ago and it was there now. So, no worries its going quickly I'd bet. I did no changes to anything btw.
Would be nice if someone that has the new market with Music post the apk so other folks can start enjoying it also.

Right heard all the time about android phones low on internal storage and countless solutions. This is a thread designed for anyone to post a solution to compile in effect a database to help all.
So post a solution to free up internal storage or how to move/install apps to an sd card or re-partition the storage.
Please note rewuirements such as rooting.

wud also be usefull if there wernt a billion diff sections tht apply to the subject matter aswell :3
Well you get the solutions in the ROMs.
Mainly A2SD or DATA2SD. Just look at most ROMs and they have these options. Some SD cards can be faster than the internal memory, so you might not notice any speed differences.
Not interested in faster just more memory and any roms with that and htc sense?

Go throught this post. Im sure it will solve your problem!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1233340
I use App2SD. if the app allows for external storage this app recognizes it, and allows you to move it pretty easily.
I've heard of people running out of internal storage and I really can't believe that they actually use all of the apps they've installed. Simple solution: if you haven't used an app in a couple months you can probably safely uninstall it. There's no penalty for reinstalling it later if you need it in a pinch. Multiply this times tens of apps and you could gain significant free storage.
Hello everybody, I'm going to be getting a replacement model for my exhibit due to speaker problems. So in order to have a successful transfer of my content. Do I just need to make a nandroid backup, put it on my PC, and when my new one is rooted, I just import it to the SD card and flash the back up to my new replacement? I'd appreciate an answer to this.

This is so pathetic how a basic question like this gets absolutely no answers at all after all this time. Ironically this will probably get someone to reply telling me off with a bunch of BS. Always seems to happen that way. Can a moderator please delete this? It will probably get overlooked for that as well.

I didn't see this first time round, but you will probably find that part of the reason it got ignored is because people get fed up with constantly answering the same questions over and over again.
A nandroid backup from one phone to another (even the same model) is not guaranteed to work. Several reasons - the hardware build sometimes changes slightly during manufacturing runs, some software may tie into the IMEI or hardware ID of the phone, other reasons which I'm not clever enough to understand.
Your best bet is to;-
Do a nandroid backup anyway - you won't lose anything by that
Ensure all your stuff (contacts, apps settings etc) is backup up to Google
Use Titanium Backup to backup all of your apps, data etc so you can restore them one-by-one on the new phone if you need to.
I hope this helps a little and is not just considered BS. As for bumping a thread after two weeks just to say "please delete this thread" - a little pointless and very childish
Yes it will.

Im not trying to be childish. I know basic netiquette on forums and i tried to find a post already existing so I can avoid that problem. But i have no idea where to find it and im not sure how to ask someone. Do i just ask a admin or moderator? I just got pissed that day because me not being able to find a existing thread and not knowing who to ask while avoiding getting reprimanded is constant.

Um actually... you use Google to find your answer. If you get results, then voila! If you don't, THEN you make the thread. If you ask someone, its rather rude because you are asking them to do work for you.

Hi. I'm new on XDA and what has brought me to this forum is a crap about my device storage, since I know REALLY nothing about smart devices .
As the title shows, my smartphone is a LG L70 Dual, with only 1,5 GB of free to use storage. It's an old and weak phone, however, I do not plan to buy another anytime soon.
I bought a new SD card and rooted it only trying to solve the problem, like creating links to the ExternalStorage, and other ways that included some apps. But I found no success, primarily because of my lack of knowledge. What I intended was to expand, link, or invert the storages, using the SD to install apps.
What I'm asking is some help to try to get what I want, but in some way I still understand what to do and have accuracy assurance and confidence that the method is safe if properly applied. Safe for the mobile and the SD. But I have no fear that the method is difficult, as long it be realizable and and whoever help me have patience for my ignorance.
Woah! I wrote too much ... I hope that someone help me, I really need this. Thanks
