After seeing the same questions repeated over and over, I decided I would put together a list of common issues with answers to them, making it easier for people to find their answers rather than going through multiple pages or use that little feature called search.... Also thought it would take a little load off the developers and let them focus on developing the ROMs we love.
This post is currently dedicated to EaglesBlood 2.3.7 (CM7/Gingerbread) and EaglesBlood 4.0.3 (CM9/Ice Cream Sandwich ich). doniqcc has put together some very fast and solid ROM's for our enjoyment, be sure to Donate and Thank him.
Thanks also to the kernel developers who have put together quality kernerls for these ROM's faux123, morfic and ttabbal.
I will split the post into 2 separate categories, ROM issues and kernel issues. If you have an issue you would like added, please post it and will get it added as I know I am missing several.
EaglesBlood 2.3.7 CM7/Gingerbread
This build is extremely solid, with very few issues. Perfect for a daily driver.
ROM Question/Issue:
What nightly is this ROM built off?
Should I do a full wipe?
Kernel Question/Issue:
What kernel is included with this ROM?
What kernel's can I use with this ROM?
I am getting a SoD (Screen of Death) while charging.
The battery is getting extremely hot while charging.
ROM Question/Issues:
What nightly is this ROM built off?
EaglesBlood is built from CM7 source and not from a nightly. Nightly's are actually built from source code as well. EB has never been built off of a nightly.
Should I do a full wipe for this update?
It is always recommended to do a full wipe, but realistically a cache wipe and dalvik wipe will be enough when doing a version update. These are rock solid ROM's so if your phone is acting weird after doing a basic wipe.... do a full wipe and this will probably fix your issues. Do a full wipe when swapping between EB and PB.
Kernel Questions/Issues:
I am getting a SoD (Screen of Death) while charging.
This can easily be fixed by making the following system change:
Settings > Applications > Development > Stay Awake
This will prevent the phone from sleeping while charging, so no SoD. You can turn off the screen with the power button.
The battery is getting extremely hot while charging.
This can easily be fixed by making the following system change:
Settings > Applications > Development > Stay Awake
This will prevent the phone from going into a deep sleep, which will cause the battery to get extremely hot. You can turn off the screen with the power button.
What kernel is included with this ROM?
EB uses the stock CM Kernel.
What kernel's can I use with this ROM?
Any of the kernels from morfic, faux123, ttabbal will work well with either ROM.
EaglesBlood 4.0.3 (CM9/Ice Cream Sandwich)
For being an early release, this build is pretty stable, with a few bugs reported and being worked on.
ROM Question/Issue:
What Kang is this ROM built off?
Should I do a full wipe?
Do I have to let the ROM sit for 10 minutes before using?
Kernel Question/Issue:
What kernel is included with this ROM?
What kernel's can I use with this ROM?
ROM Question/Issues:
What Kang is this ROM built off?
EaglesBlood is built from the unofficial CM9 source and not from a Kang.

Do I have to let the ROM sit for 10 minutes before using?
Nope, completely not needed. Read more here.
Kernel Questions/Issues:
What kernel is included with this ROM?
EB uses the stock CM Kernel.
What kernel's can I use with this ROM?
Currently only faux123 has a CM9 kernel available. faux123
Known/reported bugs:
Camera (buggy behavior)
Call Mute does not work
Google Map goes white (Force Close/Reload fixes)
Internal Storage Mount Change (Will be fixed in next release)
Homescreen Lag (Will be fixed in next release)
Low mic volume
Facebook sync
Ok so when I set it to where my phone never sleeps, under the settings , can I still hit the power button so I could turn the screen off and still avoid sod?

Yes.......
Correct hitting the power button will turn the screen off but not cause the processor to enter into a sleep mode, I will update the post for clarity.

EB V2.5
I couldn't find the link to EB V2.5 that's supposed to have Wifi calling working. V2.6 is there and then archive starts at V2.3 but not V2.5. Where could I download it? Thanks in advance.
I noticed that since installing EB on my g2x I've been having random freezes, reboots and SoD. Even when not plugged in to be charged. Now that I updated I realized I still get these problems. Can you help me with this?
When installing, I did clear Dalvik, Cache, system reformat, then install EB, installed Gapps, wiped dalvik and cache again then installed faux's DC kernal. This is getting quite unbearable especially when I'm on the phone and the phone randomly turns off.
Thanks in advance!

Happen to me once before. What I did was exactly what you did and got random reboots and FC, etc. what I did to fix was, wipe cache/format system, flashed the rom. Then, before flashing the kernal I rebooted my phone, Then booted back into cwm, then flashed the kernal. Problem solved

Yeah I always have problems if I flash a ROM then kernel and not restart in-between

EaglesBlood by doniqcc. Get it [HERE].
Thanks for the help guys. The reflash with a boot before a reflash for kernal has helped me a bit. The phone doesn't do random reboots, SoD, or random shutoffs as much. It did happen twice though, in the last few days when I Was on the phone. In mid conversation the phone turns off.
Also, some games don't work with this new updated rom. Some of the GLU games and Com2Us games like the world of magic don't work. Anyone have any ideas? (Glu games such as Frontline commando just loops the GLU logo and first 2 seconds of the intro of the game). Thanks again everyone!
Running PB 1.7 w/ faux 048 @1.4 GHz
One issue I've noticed is when I try to video chat my image is seen as upside down to the other person. But this only happens with certain apps (Qik) but works correctly on Tango. Both were working correctly on stock. Is this a PB issue or CM7 issue? How can I fix?
Another issue I'm having is when I try to watch shows on veetle app. On stock every channel came in fine but on PB almost half of the channels I go to have messed up video (including my favorite channel, 2 and a half men). Is there something wrong with the way my phone handles video
These are really minor issues but if I'm the only one having them then maybe I just need to wipe and reflash. I've searched but can't reall find the answers I need. Any help would be appreciated.

The upside down issue is more of a cm7 issue with certain apps.

But it randomly reboots itself? I didnt see this as a problem, unless I overlooked something. I can be texting and it just reboots itself or does it on its own without me doing anything to the phone.
Is this a known issue? I did a clean wipe with the most recent update install.
HELP!
No it's not a known issue at all. What rom were you coming from, also by "clean wipe" did you format system when coming from that rom?

Hercules, Hercules!!
I am having random reboots too.
Are you guys using cases? I haven't had a random reboot since I stopped using the speck case, and I've been running almost every version of weapon all the way up to 3.0
Running Weapon 2.8 with faux oc/uv kernel without any issues whatsoever. The only reason I'm not on v3 is because I really dig prepend/append battery text.
Same here - been with Weapon for some time now (3.0 currently). Have not had any random reboots. Stable rom.
My girl changed roms because of rebotes and she was coming an older version.
Edit older version if weapons, we thought it was theme so we did two clean wipes after. Formatted system also.

I just did a fresh install of 3.0 coming from CM7.1.0.1 and had a reboot within the first hour. Oh boy...
edit: simply replaced "no" with "boy"
I was having random reboots on weapon g3x 3.0 r1 almost 10 times a day. I was using the rotary lockscreen, and custom notification icons. I wiped everything even formatted /system and did a clean install. I now use AOSP lock screen as well as custom notification icons (m00nman's) and have not had a problem since.

Op states rotary lockscreen is unstable. Cheers
Update:
**Been up all weekend with no reboot. Everything is fast and working as it should.
I am running Weapon 3.0r1 and using the ASOP lock (not rotary) and I am having occasional reboots as well (now true I have had some random re-boots from the debloated Froyo ROM as well), I have also noticed that Tethering is not working either. ( I do have the updated SU, and the permissions set to allow tethering, but neither the USB or the Wi-Fi Tethering option seems to work. It does connect to other devices but it will NOT transfer data. Not sure what is going on, I do like the Weapon ROM, lotsa nice features, quick, etc. Just need to figure out why the tethering is not working and also turn off that damn shutter flash sound, If it were a real SLR the noise wouldnt bother me but this thing is digital, I don't need any fake sounds.
Is anyone else having tethering issues with this specific ROM, (if I flash back to the Froyo ROM, I can get data transfer through either the USB or the Wi-Fi Tethering, but not this ROM, any help would be appreciated.
CM7 #190 seems to be it for me
I love weapon but I always get a black screen and the reboots at least 3 times aday and that doesn't happen with cm7. Or mui rom
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
I love the ROM cause of all its customized features but I also believe that is the cause of its issues. I ran the ROM from the beginning always doing wipes cause I don' trust flashing over frameworks and stuff, plus I only have a couple apps that I install. Overall I noticed that with each huge customization came another issue weather it was reboot or something else. I rarely get reboots ever, on lots of different ROMS but weapon's latest gave me lots at least once a day if not more, on aosp lock screen and no real custom things done to it. I just liked the pull down notification and status widgets he had... I believe 2.8 was my oldest backup that was a great stable ROM for me.
I did a clean install, meaning format, clear data, clear coach all the good stuff... And I have been using the phone for the last 4 days with out turning off the phone, I have no reboot no gps problem, no problem at all.
Edit, I did not use any lock screen at all. I use an app to disable the lock screen, since there is no option in weapon to disable the lock screen.
G2x Weapon 3.0 R1
I did have random reboots the first couple of days after flashing weapon 3.0 R1 but it has settled down and I actually had my phone running for 6 days straight without a reboot or the dreaded sleep of death. The biggest thing is that I only use the ASOP lockscreen and I haven't been using bluetooth connected to my car (Nissan Rogue) lately. It may have just needed some time to 'settle in'. This has been the most stable ROM I've tried but I've only tried a couple.
OK I'm tired of seeing people complain about random reboots even though its been discussed multiple times. So here's a true story to help you all out.
I was on octane 3.0 problem free when I decided to go to Valhalla black final. I had reboots and force close issues. I went back to octane 3.0 and started having annoying force close issues. Now I know its time to start fresh from stock since I haven't cleaned the gremlins out of my phone in so long.
So I download kies mini for the drivers (since I got a new laptop in December) and pop in a DVD that had a backup of all necessary files (odin, kc1 and whatever was in fbs original gb starter guide, I want to say kg4). I load the kc1 files in Odin and Odin freezes at checking connection.
I unplug my phone, pull the battery, reinsert the battery and put it back into download mode (which is now a pic of a phone with a cord running to a computer), I then restart Odin with the kc1 files and everything goes through fine. I then do the kg4 files, once that's done I reboot into cwm and flash bhundvens latest kernel with the newer version of cwm.
Once that's done I flash Valhalla black final fixed followed by Valhalla booster. Now I've been running flawlessly for over 24 hours so its about time to UV/OC. Once I UV/OC, if I start having issues I'll know I need to change my UV/OC values, since I wasn't having problems with stock voltage.
Alternatively you can use bhundvens heimdall package that already includes his latest kernel. I just stuck with the files I already had saved cause my home internet sucks.

Thanks... I'm planning to do pretty much the same this afternoon. I had the reboots, but they stopped for a few days when I reflashed rc1.1 kernel... started happening again yesterday, so I flashed 2d, but still getting reboots.
Figured it was time to start back from ground zero.
I only had reboots when attempting to access the messenger toggle at the lock screen, Drive smart, and battery history in spare parts.

1) mess. toggle= you have to set that via settings> tweaks (or edt tweaks)> lock screen settings> choose custom app
2) drive smart= labeled "bloat" & removed
3) spare parts= I don't believe there's gb support... Though you can access via settings> about phone> battery use
Hope this is helpful

To add to what QUIETLYloud wrote - Spare Parts is GB supported according to the app description in the market, but it also tells you not all phones store battery history and if your phone does not store it you will FC if you select that option within the app.
Add: I decided to uninstall Spare Parts that came with the ROM and download Spare Parts from the market. No more FC on battery history.

Installed this and still force close on battery history selection. Im batting 0-4 tonight. /sigh
yes the messageing icon will fc and cause a reboot if you do not assign a button to it... I should add that to the op its inteintally left un assigned so you can assign whatever you want to it though tweaks...
Spare parts battery status will fc it was the only version i had at the time but the newer one should be ok if you wipe the data from it then force close uninstall and download form market ... If not wait tell they add better support.
There are a couple Spare Parts in the market. The one I used was Spare Parts+ (no ads) by DroidGram. It worked for me.
The weird thing is using a widget for the battery shows the history just fine. Spare parts is a weird animal.
So, I flashed Bryan's d2 version of the kernel yesterday and am now going on 33 hours without a reboot.
I'll leave it on the charger for the night and see what uptime is in the morning, if no reboots over night then I'll flash back to 1.1 and see what happens.
speaking of charging.. I am at 73% battery life at 9 hours on battery, so bat life is looking good

I think it is newer. But if you are using the one from the market, make sure you removed the one that came with the ROM.
I'm on Bryans 1.1 which has yet to give me any problems.
I've been playing with UV settings (always OC'ed @ 1.2) trying to find the right settings for my phone. I think I'm finally making progress, I had been getting a reboot within 8 hours, on my current settings I've just hit 12.
Once I hit 24 hours up time I'll adjust again and see how it goes.
I have the random reboots to and i used the back to stock one click, but I still get the random reboots. However, it only happens when I restore my apps thru TB. Is it possible one of my apps has some sort of "virus" causing it to do that?
Actually TB causing problems is an issue that has been discussed. Personally it hasn't given me any issues, but I've read after flashing a new ROM you should only restore user apps. So don't restore app data or system apps.
Its worth a try anyway. Otherwise one app causing your problem is a possibility, but depending on how many apps you have it could take a while to restore one by one til finding the problem one.

I am having some random hangups followed by reboot when I'm using stock browser. I'm on rooted but stock GB KJ6 with stock kernel. I never had such behavior when using other apps. and it does not matter if OC or not.
Well, I'll try another browser for a while and will report back.

MD5 1930b67322b3849a1d46ca4d8ec69bd6
0) Take a Nandroid backup of your current ROM first!
0.5) If possible, use the OneClick at least once. Some things can't reliably be accomplished in an updater-script.
1) Flash my ICS radio if you haven't yet. Seriously, do it. (Use my CWM zip here)
2) Wipe data/factory reset
3) Wipe cache
4) Install from SD card
5) Format /cache from "mounts and storage"
6) Reboot. First boot will take a while, be patient (5+ minutes).
7) AT&T Ready2Go is busted this release.
Alien ICS #8.1 update (no wipe - flashable over any version of build #8)
No update available at this time.

It's not working when I install! I'm receiving force closes, sitting at bootloops, etc.
Make sure you're installing the ROM correctly. Remember that kernels, MODs, radios, and carriers can mess with your phone's performance and workability.
I'm not on AT&T and this ROM is completely broken!
This ROM is not necessarily designed for international compatibility. Please wait for future updates or attempt an install with a proper international kernel. I hear it works fine on Rogers, but you'll need to add your APN. Google for directions on how to do that.
Why is my device running/booting slowly?
Your first boot will take an unimaginably long time. After that, your device will continue to run slowly until the application cache is built up. Don't worry, the speed will increase as you use the ROM!
Why is my battery life bad?
Your battery life is often killed when flashing ROMs in CWM. For the best battery life, you must drain your device’s battery until it turns off. Plug the device into the AC adapter and let it charge until the image says 100% charged. Then turn it on and use the volume buttons to boot into CWM. Click Wipe Battery Stats under the advanced menu. Then you should charge to 100% and install the ROM. Battery life should be comparable to (if not better than) every other ROM.
Where's my bloatware?
Alien ICS deletes unnecessary bloatware that can be replaced by better applications in the Android Market. If you'd like the bloatware back, you can download the CWM bloatware installer from here.
Why isn't there a battery mod?
You can cook your own battery mod using the UOT kitchen.
Coming soon (its TouchWiz, what do you expect?)
Changelog:
Alien ICS #8
Based on UCLE2.
CRT off works now (thanks Samsung).
Ready2Go moved to bloat - its broken this release anyway.
Probably other stuff I don't remember.
Alien ICS #7.4
Updated Google Maps (full release only).
Fixed home screen folder size when opened.
Fixed icon placement between home screens.
Alien ICS #7.3
Updated Google+ (full release only).
Removed AT&T Address Book Sync.
Removed broken Yellow Pages contact.
Alien ICS #7.2 re-release
AOSP lockscreen addon available.
Hide IME toggle in status bar.
build.prop tweaks.
Fix Media Hub.
Alien ICS #7.1
Adding scrolling wallpaper both to TW Launcher and third-party ones.
Fixed a small bug with enforcing copying libs (would only have affected AT&T's navigation).
Alien ICS #7
Initial Alien ICS release.
Known issues:
The home button has a slight delay. This is common in ICS (check SGS2 for example).
Turning off Wi-Fi tethering will cause the Settings app to be unresponsive for a minute or so. This appears to be an issue with the Tether provisioning and does not cause any actual problem. Seems fixed in UCLE2.
Changing the Wi-Fi sleep policy increases battery drain. This is common across many phones and ROMs.
The volume slider in Settings -> Sounds does not stick. Use the rocker instead. This is a ULCD2 issue. Seems fixed in UCLE2.
Data may be flaky for some. It works fine for me, but buyer beware. This appears to be a UCLD2 modem issue. Another modem may help. Use my modem and this won't be a problem.
Email syncing may be flaky. This is an Android 4.0.3 problem. Hopefully fixed since this is AOSP 4.0.4.
Anything else that has been common with ICS from Odin (I really haven't noticed hardly anything to be honest).
Some people have noticed weirdness when coming from GB related to the Home/Search keys. This appears to be related to updating from GB only (perhaps files on the SD card). Flashing the ROM a few times and booting into it between each flash seems to clear this up. Alternately, try backing up your internal SD card to your PC and then formatting it.
Miscellaneous:
If you want to enable "Preferred install location" in Settings -> Applications, run the following through an ADB shell and reboot:
Code:
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db 'update system set value="1" where name="set_install_location";'
Thanks for this! I'm downloading now.
Love that subtitle! and your work!
OK, I installed this last night and all seemed good, except an issue with the stock browser (Google Mobile?) not saving my preferences. However, I got up this morning and noticed the stock Email program (not Gmail) wasn't deleting my messages. It wouldn't delete through checking the box and selecting delete and it wouldn't delete via "longpress". It also froze the phone (requiring me to press the power key 10 seconds for a re-start) and restarted the phone once on its own. All of this is coming with the vibes so I'm thinking it is from fc's. Maybe I have a bad flash or maybe its something I installed. I haven't installed much yet and everything I have installed now worked fine with the first leak Alien stock release that I have been running before this? I let the phone sit for about 5 minutes after the last restart and it all seems to be working fine again? Email deleting is working and no fc's? I'll test it more to see if it continues to happen or if it was just a "one-time" strange thing. Is anyone else having these issues? If the problem persists and no one else is having it, I will reflash later to see if it was a flashing issue. TIA

Sounds weird to me, I haven't noticed any of that. Perhaps a bad flash. Its always a good idea to let the phone sit about 10 minutes after the first boot to let any processes settle out. Maybe this could be related. I'd also make sure you're running the UCLD2 modem.
Just installed and EVERYTHING is running great so far. Restored apps with Tibu. Installed SuperSU then fixed permissions with ROM Manager.
This is the first time I've ran an ICS ROM without any problems.
Thanks Romracer...you do great work!

This is exactly what I was looking for. A tweaked stock samsung ics looking rom without all the unnecessary blue theming.
My auto brightness doesn't seem as responsive as it use to be. However, the rest of the rom is awesome.

Google Chrome is force closing after the update. Is anyone else getting this?

That is strange then. However, like I said before this rom is awesome. No force closes, everything seems to work for me since I flashed this morning. I like how you didn't theme it. Thanks again

Installed rom without a hitch! Runs fast and smooth! Very nice work!
Mine is continually force closing on launch. Tried uninstalling to no avail.

I reflashed, and so far, everything seems to be working OK. Email seems to work OK and the mobile browser is keeping the preferrences this time. So I guess it was a bad flash. It could have been one other thing. I installed the modded HULU+ app the first time around and it seemed to work fine. Does anyone know if the regular Hulu+ app (un-modded from the market) will work on this ROM or do I need to keep using the modded app? I don't think the modded app would derp anything but its the only thing I can think of (besides just a bad flash).
This is an amazing ROM (as usual).
**Edit**
Definately something going on with the Stock Email app on my end. It worked fine for a while and then started not deleting Email like it should then it gave error messaged when clicking on individual Emails such as "message too long" and "connection error" and then a momentary freeze. Everything is set up correct (settings and servers) and "GMAIL" app works fine for Email. Its strange because I went into the Apps settings and forced it closed and then I stopped the services associated with it. When I clicked on the Email button again, it all started working fine again. Come to think of it, "Media Hub" was associated with it as well. I wonder if Media hub is messing it up? I'm pretty sure it is not anything wrong in this Alien ROM (everything else is working great), if anything, it might be an isolated ICS bug that only occurs in certain conditions or conflicting apps (like the media hub might be). I'll keep looking into it, but its not a big deal because the GMAIL app works fine (and so does the "stock Email" most of the time).
**Edit 2**
I derped my own golden rule....read read read...
per the "ICS bugs" thread...
11 - 04/09/2012: [CONFIRMED] There are known issues with stock email app. Syncing unread/read e-mails will not push back to exchange server email client. Also emails me not completely send and stays "stuck" in outgoing box.
FIX (Thanks dixit):
This google thread shows the official issue and show that it was fixed officially in 4.0.4.
https://code.google.com/p/android/is...etail?id=23534
If you scroll down to post 51 you will see there is a link where someone put the two 4.0.4 APKs from a Spring Nexus S 4G which fixes this issue as explained above. So just go to that link, download the two Email/Exchange APKs, put them in System/App, correct permissions, remove your two Samsung Native Email APKs, and that will fix the issue of emails being stuck in the outbox.
Here is the direct link to those two APKs off Post 51
http://files.devphone.org/404mail/
If it continues to be a problem I will try the "fix" and let everyone know if it works.

I don't think it was listed in the features... But its already on my radar. Making gallery let you pick a bigger wallpaper is easy (1 line). Making twlauncher use it is what I'm on now. Nova works with my modified gallery though.
Anyway, I'll have a small 7.1 update (no wipe) later today assuming I get time to figure it out.
Having an issue with Google Navigation (maps is ok), but whenever it goes 3D mode it crashes shortly after :|
Currently on HBoot 2.14
Have noticed E/Sensors (973): MLUpdateData error (code 31) a couple of times throughout the logcat, is this G-Sensor related?
Phone slowing down after Viper 3.1
Did anyone who installed Viper 3.1 experience phone slowing down after the install? There is a lag when the notification bar is pulled down or switching between screens.
Being a noob, this is what I did -
1.) fastboot flash boot boot.img
2.) wiped cache and dlvik cache
3.) flashed viper3.1.zip
4.) I haven't tinkered around with the kernel. It should be the stock.
In effort of speeding up the device, I went to Venom Tweaks --> CPU and switched to "Performance". Not sure if that was the right thing to do.
Reading the Forums, everyone seems to have buttery smooth experience, not me
Any help is appreciated.

This is something I've noticed from Jelly Bean in general ( Cyanagenmod, AOKP, and Sense 4.5 ). Devs keep saying they'll address it before it eventually gets swept under the rug. Between that and signal issues I was having I've switched back to running stock (I'd rather have a working phone with a little bloat and a few less features). If you have to have Google Navigation you may want to do the same. Or maybe someone could set up a bounty to have devs actually do something about it (if there is something that can be done). Or you can go back to sense 4.0 for the time being. Sorry to sound like a negative Nancy.

The lag when pulling down notification is because you have quick toggles enabled. Disable them and it will be much faster.

On the topic of the Notification bar, I have the Horizontal Quick Settings, has VQS been ported over as well or only HQS at this time? ViperXL 3.1.0
Cheers.
Waze is what I always use on JB roms, works like a champ. Its sweet, one of the coolest apps in the market. So another one who recommends waze
I had been using an older version of the PACman ROM for a while without too much difficulty, then did an in-place upgrade to the latest version, clearing cache/dalvik. This caused severe lag and stuttering. Using Chrome was next to impossible sometimes because scrolling would just stop, swipes would register late, and taps might hit the wrong link cause the page decided to shift down before registering the tap. Additionally, booting was horrendous, especially waiting for WidgetLocker to load and start working so I could unlock.
Tried switching to the Marla kernel. No help.
Then decided to go slightly further back to the source with the PA ROM. Stuttering is gone but phone randomly reboots frequently. I'll just be browsing FlipBoard or Facebook or using Chrome and the bootanim will appear. Tried hiding Halo. Didn't help. Tried installing Marla. Didn't help.
Also got CatLog to try to diagnose the reboots but I don't know what to look for. So many more errors at the E level than I thought there would be. And having to tap each one to find the approximate time of the reboot didn't help much.
Considering going to straight CM but I really don't want to lose the app DPI stuff from PA.
Any ideas?

Odin stock , factory reset then flash twrp and pa.
So I guess I haven't fixed it yet. Did the restore to stock, flashed Carbon, Marla, gapps. Would still freeze for a few seconds and reboot occasionally. I've updated to latest nightly 3 times now, every time formatting system/data/cache/dalvik.
The only thing I can think of is an incompatibility between Carbon and Marla. I've had same problem while using Moretz too.
On top of the reboots, sometimes YouTube stutters now, with the sound cutting out in a glitchy/clicky way, seeming to be CPU/IO related, not network. Never had that with stock so it's a big step backward.
More info: DPI is changed to 160, Xposed app settings, NFC frozen, Greenify, Lookout.
Not sure where to start to fix this. Reboots 2-5 times a day.
