Hi Folks,
My Apollo has been fairly consistent in displaying the titled message above despite all of the apps that I've installed being moved to the SD Card.
Is there something that I'm missing to free up internal storage like deleting messages etc?
I'm running the G3 Mod at present and didn't really have this problem (or notice it) before.
Baseband Version: I5800XXJP4
Build Number: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] # Froyo_v1,9_Performance.
Build Number: Dutchmods v4.0
I've also had a few issues with my headset connector - it's not been dropped or damaged, so thinking about going back to a stock mod if I need to send it back for repairs. Unless could be due to a bad ROM?
Often the radio does not detect the headset being plugged in - especially the stock Samsung headset but will detect a pair of crapola Skull Candy headphones but the sound volume is very low.
Any suggestions for a stable ROM to use to verify it's not software related?
Check to see if you have an application that is storing a lot of data/cache on your phone's internal memory. Things like Facebook and Web browsers will do this. You can clear some of this cache without issue.
Also, I suggest Kyrillos' ROM 9.5. I am running OC, but Non OC works just as well.
Low memory
I have the same kind of problem. I couldn't even install a 2mb app when the phon's info displayed 16mb free. (w/ stock Telus 2.2 update and kyrillos 9.5)
I tried some stuff and ended up having some google framework being forced to quit on kyrillos.
Strange.

I've got loads of space on my phone and I have a metric crapton of apps.
Are you sure you have the hybrid script functioning correctly?
I ditched the stock kernel. It's crap. Also the Telus boot logo sucks. LOL
after data2sd & apq2sd, the whole world is quiet( * ̄▽ ̄)σ

Well I reloaded a modified stock Froyo 2.2 ROM (Froyo.XXJPM/Kernel 2.6.32.9 [email protected]#1) and to be fair, my phone is running much better than with any of the custom ROMs it appears...
I still have the problem with the headphone jack, so it'll need to go back to Samsung to get repaired/replaced
I'm not sure why I was running out of so much space, as I used Apps2SD and set the browser cache as well as all programs (where possible) to use the external SD card...
I'm just going to install the minimum on the phone and leave the "toys" for my tablet I think.
Kyorarom
I finally wiped everything and flashed kyorarom and kyorakernel. Restored with titanium app and made well sure before that app2sd was working correctly and that I clicked the install to internal memory option (I think that's what made kyrillos bug and crash, that and I think I clicked restore on the old phone 1.x app in TB) and now everything works so much faster and the battery last longer. After three days, I'm more than satisfied. Some setCpu tweaks and probably a higher class sd card and I should be back to honeymoon with my phone...
I guess I'll never really find out what was bugging the phone so much and why it had such a hard time displaying the correct memory or something.
But god it's good to be able to answer after the first ring and hung up quickly.
Even i am facing the same issue. my interal memory is getting over and i have no option to move apps to sdcard. only few apps have that option. is there anything i could do?
you can install link2sd but it requires root access.

already tried it brother
If you want your phone to be reliable on your trip then don't use 6.5. Just to be safe I would flash stock rom then PDACornerUltimate V19 then hard reset. Keep all your CABs on your SD card incase you have to do a hard reset on the road. But 6.1 is more stable than any 6.5 rom

Sorry, stuck in my head, saw Houston and immediately thought "JUMP ON IT! JUMP ON IT!"
Tried different radios? Even though you went ATT Stock, try it.
You could always look up the individual settings and try it, check proxy stuff too.
Possible false alarm, it might be the retards at AT&T, I am on the phone with them now so we'll see what they did because with my sim in my g/f phone it still wont allow data use. I will post after I get off the phone, hopefully with a resolution.
don't let on that you flash custom, they'll lay the hammer down.
I'm a bit unclear on whether or not you went into start/settings to make sure everything was configured correctly but if you didn't, I just made this video it just shows how to make sure everything is configured correctly for AT&T Internet since it is fairly confusing. Hopefully this helps

Connection Settings
Make sure your connection setting has proxy turned off, if it does not then turn it off and soft reset and it should work, hope this helps!
Similar but different
I am having a problem with my microsd card also. In setting-system-memory-storage card-it says (not installed). I put it in the computer and it said currupted/not readable. Is there a way to fixed this.
What does that have to do with this guys problem? LOL this isn't even in the proper forum..

How many max no. of apps[at any point of time] have you installed on your device ?
I had heard someone saying 200 apps... so was curious to know about this
Off-topic- Which program do u use to back up these apps so that you dont have to install them again after flashing a new rom
a poll would have been fun
I have way over 365+ Apps installed, that i simply did a 1 button restore using Titanium Backup from my SGS (User Apps+User Data)
it was totally painless
then in Market, i hit "Update All" and Bam! all Apps were updated to the latest version.
so far I've not come across any OLD 2.1/2.2 software that does not work properly in 2.3
well technically speaking they are NOT old anymore, since they were all UPDATED to the latest version from Market
that's probably what prevented all the errors

Wow, and I thought I was a "shameless app whore" with all the apps I have (130 or so)!
How much memory have those 365 apps used up? Curious because of other discussions over the need (or lack of, in my opinion) to use apps2sd or not on the Nexus S.
that's why i always complaing about the missing microSD
currently sitting at around 800 MB on apps usage, some games are huge (Gamerloft / EA), and Copilot GPS software takes up another 3 GB, it doesn't leave me much for MP3 and Animes/Movies on the go
^^
You're not the only one who thought they had a ton of apps installed....at one point in time I think I had 150+ installed but I've since done some pruning and am down to 128 now (according to appbrain).
I'm afraid that with all the space available on the Nexus S I'm going to resort back to my app hoarding days.
yup, i love appbrain, makes Cataloguing my apps such a breeze
also finding new or better apps to what i currently have already

Yeah, I miss the sdcard, but am getting by without it. I can easily fill up 28 gigs with just music, videos, and titanium or nandroid backups.
Doesn't your CoPilot map data go on the sdcard? Mine does. That doesn't count as part of the internal space for apps that we get (~ 1gb) or the need/lack-of-need to use apps2sd. I'm sure you know that, but some of the noobs might be confused by that. The actual app is only about 15mb in the apps space.

No problem. I am the same way.
Last night i've maxed out all space, and was unable to install anything else
had to uninstall a whole bunch of apps just to be able to add a new widget to toggle silent mode
yes, App 2 SD is in use
already deleted a whole bunch of MP3 and movies to make space
Hi there.
I am experiencing some unexplained behaviour of my phone. When I call someone (outgoing call) the screen sometimes goes immediately off and I can't seem to wake it up. No matter what button I press (home, volume, search, power, down...) only back light of the buttons lights When this happens (not all the time) I have two options: either I take the battery out or I use another phone and call my number and phone screen wakes up.
I've noticed that this started after I've installed Sipdroid At least so I thought. So I've removed Sipdorid but behavior is the same. Untill that point I was using mik_os I went to #cyanogenmod and they suggested me to install a new ROM. If i still had the problem I should ask here on xda forums. So I've installed official cyanogenmod - stable rom (CM 7) with latest gapps. After installation I had to flash old baseband version since I under about phone there was no Broadband info and I had no service. After installation of baseband version I was able to get service but I'm still confronting problems when outgoing calls sometimes.
Video of outgoing call and screen turning off.
Do you need me to post complete logcat after screen turns off?

Thank you for your suggestion.
I did enable it but it didn't help. Note that when I call someone screen is completely off and when call is going and I try to press some buttons no back light is present.
i had a kind of similar problem..not after call but when i used to lock my device and then press any button, screen was like not coming seemed like it didn't waked but soon i realized it was brightness problem kind of when i set brightness more than dim i had no problem..
Use a custom kernel not based on the cm kernel
Eg. ta-kernel 1.1 (my personal favourite)
I also have this bug in all cm based kernels.

I will try your suggestion. But just to make it sure I recorded the video so you guys can see what I'm exactly talking about. Also isn't this odd that when using mik_os kernel (I don't if it is even CM based or not) this started to be a problem after one year? Is it possible that my microSD card is corrupt, that I should repartition it or anything like this?

Thank you Free.rockstar and akashgupta222 for your suggestions.
EDIT: I partitioned SD card (2GB capacity): 512 MB ext, 0 MB swap problem is still there. I'm going to install ta-kernel 1.1 as akashgupta222 suggested and see what happens.

I feel so newbiesh atm. I've installed Gingersnap 2.3 rom because I saw Candied-kernel v2.5.6 ta vsync xz
But then I went to read about Candied kernel and I saw that it is based upon cyanogenmod kernel :|
akashgupta222, can you please provide me link to the ta kernel? Or any kernels that has worked for you and you didn't get black screen? Also can you provide me the rom that you used with tose kernels?
I'd be much grateful if you do so.

akashgupta222, sorry for that I've fixed it. WORKING VIDEO Now you can watch it :/ Thank you for your link. I'll try it now. If it doesn't work I belive I'm forced to install stock firmware from LG.

and if you're wondering I used the device or not the whole day, I played dumb ways to die 2, I took pics with flashes, chat with my girlfriend as it was Sunday and talked with my friends as well.

cm11 and mighty rom are not getting camera fixed, plus out there ram is not the default 768mb. its less.

There is no modifications in UI, although I can but then there could be issues and I work alone, although I have changed boot animation, used kitchen to deodexed rom and zipaligned all apps after removing the bloatwares and added few other apps into system. Although you all can do this, if you have been studying on xda, there are pretty good guides here. I have experimented a lot to get this result on my device. trying almost every setting possible. I will try put up and share with you all as well.
My upload speed is pretty bad and it could take few days to upload and I will also need time to put all the modifications and apps into a complete rom zip file for you all to flash (after testing of course cause sometimes I get mixed results with my device as I still keep on experimenting ) . will see how soon can do it and how nicely.
the reason it is stable is because I didn't touch systems file directly. so there are no bugs.
Do any of you facing an issue of system ui taking a lot of memory? It happens with me daily and only way to a temporary fix is reboot.

What device? What ROM? What mods? What's running in the background? What makes you think it's specifically a memory leak, instead of something else like a runaway process?
Without details, we cannot help you.
Moto turbo xt1225, stock marshmallow with December security patch. Everything stock, no mods or root. I think it's a memory leak because system ui takes as much as 400-500 mb in couple of days after rebooting.

1) What is causing YOUR memory leaks? Could be anything. Lots of apps like to run in the background, even if you are not using them, so that when you do "open" them, they will snap open in an instant. (Since they are already running as a background process.) The developer thinks HIS app is so important it needs priority. Meanwhile all the time you don't have it actively open, it's still running in the background sucking up RAM. Every app developer thinks their app should be your most important app.

I don't know, as I've always been rooted and will always be rooted, but check it out. Anyway at least on my rooted phone Greenify will let you forcefully HIBERNATE all apps on a list of your apps that you choose, so that they will NOT run until you manually open them. Like my flashlight app doesn't need to be running in the background until I NEED my flashlight. HIBERNATE. Until I open the app. Then upon closing the app, will go back into HIBERNATION. Greenify will suggest apps to hibernate, but you can expand to a larger list of ALL your apps to choose from. I have over 200 apps, so I just went down through the list and checked most of them off.
Of course, you don't want to hibernate stuff like your email app or messaging app or weather widget. Those DO need to run in the background. But most everything else, yes.
_________
2) This won't necessarily help you, since you are not rooted, but I also use Auto Reboot to perform a daily scheduled reboot of my phone when I'm not using it. Like 4am, but would depend on each person's preference. Rebooting clears the RAM, prompts app updates, and generally just refreshes your phone. Same speed benefits as rebooting any PC. I have this set on my phone, my wife's phone, as well as all my friends' Androids who I tech support. We're all rooted of course.
Rebooting daily prevents a lot of the lag that seems to accumulate over time. So, I know you are thinking the reboot is "temporary fix", but rebooting daily can prevent any memory leaks from becoming a runaway process.
Auto Reboot (Root only)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pereira.autoreboot&hl=en
This scheduled pre-emptive rebooting when you are NOT using the phone is better than having to reboot when you are actively using the phone, yes? At work, we have a server that seems to freeze up about once a week. It would freeze up when we were using it, really needing it! Finally our engineering staff got the idea to schedule a weekly reboot of this server during a down time when we were NOT using it, and now it never freezes up!
