hey guys. After having the sensation for about three months i got pretty much sick and tired of the battery life and so i searched up and found an anker 1900 mah battery, do you guys think that it is actually worth buying it? I also heard from a friend that it reduces the overheating issue that the phone has, can anybody confirm this to be true?
Try to look around.... Anker battery topic has a lot of replies... You just need to open sensation accessories... Because battery is accessory....
Go on try, open... Its right there on the first page....

It's really work for me, but it's actually about 1830-1850 mah not 1900 mah as it state on a label.
Picked one up off Ebay and it's great. I can go a few extra hours compared to stock battery. Worth it for me.
so far after reading the reviews anker battery has got lots of positive reviews but unfortunately the price of the battery in malaysia is double so i opt for sunglobal 1850mah... http://www.sunglobal.com.my/enlarge.asp?id=93.... so far works fine for me for around 15 to 25 hours..
This is an interesting topic for me too. There are several brands offering batteries with extended capacity. Do you think that they are all the same, or Anker is the best?
Will rreplacig my stock sensation battery for the anker 1900 one reduce overheating

No. The battery is only part of the issue, your processor generates more heat.
For those thinking the Anker solves temperature issues, it doesn't have a temperature sensor included so always reports 25c no matter how hot or cold it gets.
Anker is 1900 mAh, and I saw another aftermarket batt on eBay listing 2450 mAh capacity.
Its easy to print a label with a higher capacity rating, so my question is has anyone tried it - feedback?
I got 2 Anker 1900 mAh batteries with external usb/plug recharger, I just swap them when one is discharged.
Now my phone works a lot longer but the greatest difference occoured when I stopped using Superpower app with it's 2G/3G switching scripts (2G preferred) and turn on airplane mode in the night when I sleep.
Now my phone works even 3 days when is lighlty used.
My Anker battery offered a great improvement at first, however six months down the line I'm not so sure its lasting as long as it used to - can't say I'm using my phone any more than I was, but I always seem to be in power saving mode now before I stick it on charge at the end of the day. Hopefully in another six months it won't have gotten any worse!

I've seen some Anker 2400mah batteries for the EVO 3d, but seeing how they're the same I would've thought there to be the same for a sensation but with a different back cover.
I can't find anything like that, if anyone can, please let me know.
Also, isn't there an official HTC extended battery like the hd2 one for the sensation?
Bump .... ... .. .
If i'm not mistaken there are many types of extended battery for the HTC sensation that do not need a bigger cover. First you have the popular Anker Batteries.. This is so far, to me, the best extended battery as it greatly improves the battery life of my sensation. What used to last me half a day with 3g on, now lasts me about 13-15 hours. Hope this helps.
Hey mate have you tired ebay? I got one for my sensation paid 10gbp and it last over 48 hours with listening to abit of music and texting and talking. its a perfect fit and it hasnt even got close to being warm.

I have the Anker, but it doesn't last me more than about 6-7 hours, and this is with it underclocked; granted I do use it a lot, but that's why I'm looking for a better one that's thicker than the oem batteries like anker.

I have looked on ebay, but I haven't seen batteries with higher mah's like 2400mah or more. I don't mind having to put on a thicker case, but there doesn't seem to find any for the sensation - there are more for the EVO 3D eventhough they use the same type of batteries.

Hi guys I need help to find a good solution for my sensation... actually with stock battery, display brightness set to 40%, CPU set to 1290 MHz and 3g connection on, I get only 4-5 hours of use... I need somethings that help me to reach at least 10 hours of intensive use without paying over 15-6 €… What you suggest? I'm thinking about:
1) http://www.ebay.it/itm/330715277447?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_2514wt_924
about this I read only negative feeds here on xda while on amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B005O8SA2S/ref=dp_db_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1) there are many positive reviews
2) http://www.amazon.co.uk/1900mAh-rec...XHC0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334234975&sr=8-1
I've read that this is produced by the same company of anker battery and that this has the same quality of any anker battery...
3) any anker battery pack with 1900 mah, but price is about 20 €...
what do you think about the first? The second should be better? I need to stay about 15 hours without charging (5 of intensive use and 10 of moderate use)... I also want to buy a separate charger for the second battery, but I'll take it from hong kong and delivery time is about 30-40 days...

The gold batteries are terrible, the saner and anker (chichitec too in US) are the best choices.

The gold one is crap - I bought it and it was only 1500mah - the seller is a scumbag too. When I sent proof it was nowhere near rated, he said he could refund me half, and then tried to negotiate from there claiming it is not his fault. He refused to edit his listing nor acknowledge others who had the same issue (see his feedback). I had to bully him into a refund by threatening negative feedback and a paypal dispute.
It seems there is only one option with a replaceable back cover, and it is Mugen $100~ and gives poor reception since there are no antennas on the cover.
You may want to investigate the powerskin, although I don't care for the inability to transfer data via usb while it is on, nor the shape. I do miss my EVO 3D + Extended battery.
I have Anker 1900, but was wondering if anyone has tried the 2300Mah batteries advertised on eBay or any other battery that gives a significant performance boost apart from the $100 cover/bat combo.

Anker afaik is the best. Most of those 2300mah batteries are either fake or come with a different cover because they are thicker. So I'm sticking with Anker
Those are fake.
Sensationaly sent from my Sensation.
I've seen on ebay 2500mah battery marked Galilio...

I have an anker, It seamed to be good at first, but I noticed the black bar on top is starting to separate from the silver battery part.
It hasn't been holding a good charge. I may be buying a new one soon.
I'm still debating if I should buy the 2050mAh AceSoft battery
http://www.amazon.com/2050mAh-AceSo...72Z8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334708111&sr=8-1
I currently have the Anker and it does last longer than stock but I'm looking for something longer and this is the only one I found that offers a bigger capacity without looking sketch...
From what i have heard the Anker is the only way to go.
Mah rating only adds a small amount to your battery capacity. From what I understand it will last longer, but if you charge it using a higher amperage then it will drain quicker, as you train it to deal with charge quickly.
Power optimisation on the ROM should be more of a priority when it comes to battery power =/
I am looking for a battery that has the highest quality/ Mah that's the same size as stock. Meaning, there would be no need for a new back cover.
Anker 1900 is meant to be good.

Thanks, I figured it would be. Didnt know if there was anything a little bit bigger and was quality. Hopefully the Misses will be happy with it.
I've been using a BXT DPD G14 I found on eBay for 5 or 6 months now and it works very well. Fits with the original back and all. This is (supposed to be) a 2300 mAh batt. Even if it's not a full 2300 mAh batt., it still works pretty good and for $8, it ain't bad.
The anker/chichitec 1900s and the Mugen 1950 seem to be recognized as the three most true to their rating. All have had their share of positive reviews, as well as a handful of lacklustre reviews. I personally purchased the Mugen, but any of the three will likely work just fine for you.
The Saner battery also seems to be really good.
Momax X-Level 1700mA/h works for me.
I have used several different batteries, over time the best one I have use have been the 2010mAh AceSoft. After a few months of use these batteries lasted a lot longer then any of the other ones that I, or my friends have used. A little more money but well worth it.
me and my girlfriend both have anker 1900 batteries and it causes random shutdowns and its extremely annoying.
i bought an evo 3d battery which is 1730 mah and the same size.. should give about 9 hours of use. im waiting for it to come in the mail. but im back to the stock battery and no random reboots.
wouldnt recommend anker to anyone. just saying.

No need for a back cover and you get enough fuel to do whatever you want and without problems (random reboots with anker...?).
I really recommend it

jona compare the sice of the anker you have to your oem battery, it's probably a bit shorter. I have heard of people having random shut downs and I can tell you, your battery isn't broken or anything, it's most likely just a bit to short.
Try putting a little bit of plastic or paper additional to your anker battery in your phone - so it's like phone, papper/plastik, battery, connectors, phone....
There is even a post out there in xda about that.
Hope that helps.

Own Anker battery for 3 month
Its a fantastic battery, claims 1900mah its actually 1950mah according to an app. also battery benchmark for stock was 240pt and Anker came in just under 500. thats a true improvement!!
I know I'm a bit late, but I have to say that my Chichitec 1900 mAh battery is fantastic! Fits great, and lasts noticeably longer than the stock battery. I've also read far fewer negative reports on the Chichitec battery compared to the Anker and others.
I highly recommend it.
Ive had the anker and am now using the evo 3d battery (1730), both of which are fanstastic but the htc evo battery is cheaper on Amazon. Always lasted at least 24 hours either way. Surely you've already gotten one by now though...
I have the anker battery now. It works perfect.

Maybe its an fake one but the seller has 92.6% positive feedback on ebay so i doubt he is fake.
There is a mini chance it is misfabricated like damage to the cells, do you still have the warranty card so you can send it back?
You can try to charge it for a day
Btw 35$ for 1 anker battery is way too high

I don't know if it isn't 1900mah, but I know that it lasts a lot more than many users with stock battery. Mine's already 7 months old and I think it's a bit worse than when I bought it. But in my first cycle of ViperS 3.1.0 rom it lasted 1 day and 5 hours screen time.

most of Anker's batteries do have a common problem which is that the capacity of energy is not as what they guaranteed when several friends of mine bought it. for example, one of my college bought an Anker battery last week with the capacity of 5600mAh. they told her it can do 3times of charge to her iphone4s, which never happens. only one and a half time maybe.. so i lent to her my external battery of RAVPower bought in amazon.es, she said it was fantastic and really nice with the real capacity that the seller guaranteed and the cool shape, now she took away mine:crying::crying:.....

An app cant tell you the capacity of your battery, that's not how a battery works. if you really wanna know the exact capacity, you'll have to do it a different way:
http://denishennessy.com/2012/04/08/measuring-battery-capacity-with-an-arduino/
someone did a similar test (but without arduino, he did it "manual" with multimeters and some other tools) with different smartphone-batteries but i cant find the link....

If anker claims that their sensation battery has 1900 mah but the true capacity is 1750 mah, why hasn't anyone sued them by now?
By the way, I usually get 14-16 hrs with anker and 5-6 hrs on screen time.
