My phone speaker is not working - Samsung Infuse 4G

Yesterday suddenly my phone speaker stopped working, I tried different custorm ROMs, and currently on stock using unbrick method, still I cannot listen anythign out of phone (music / phone calls)
But I can listen everythign using head phones..
Any one know, whats the issue...

never mind, replaced my phone with ATT

It's the only easy way to go. I asked for a replacement Monday, today is Wednesday and it says my Refurb is in Florida already, I may not get it mailed today seems rather late in the morning. Waiting for them to update the info to see if I can just go pick it up. I have no patience. lol

Yeah i did the same thign.. I went to one Device support center, they dont have infuse device, then I went to other, and replaced it.. I cannot wait for a week, with this problem..

I have touchscreen issues where my touchscreen will start tapping things by itself and scroll until I turn it off and then back on, then it's fine. Only 1 other person is experiencing this issue, If I had to guess it was 1 of those phones that came from a bad batch, Also I have issues talking to ppl over the phone, they complain they can't hear me, I have to scream into the phone. I can't deal with it anymore. The problem stopped for a couple days then showed right back up yesterday with my touchscreen becoming non responsive and acting up. I had to tell them the problem is intermediate you never know when it will happen.

HTC RMA Repair time... [UK]

Hi everyone, I had to send my HD2 to HTC for repair since the Touchscreen failed. I sent the phone last Monday (23rd) and they received it on the Wednesday (25th). My HTC Ticket tracking says they've received the phone, but nothing else. It hasn't been updated in a week which is annoying me since my spare phone was damaged over the past weekend making it impossible to make calls.
I sent an email to their email tech support asking for an update a 2 days ago and still haven't got a reply. I know we've just had a bank holiday, but I've heard people say it can take upto 5 days for a phone to be repaired then shipped back to the customer, is this true?
Just want to know peoples experiences and how fast they got their devices back.
Thank you!
Past experience is that it'll take 10 working days regardless..
Fair enough, I just wish it was kept updated, the status still hasn't changed and it's coming up to those 10 working days. It wouldn't be so bad if my spare phone didn't get damaged last week. What about any one else, 10 working days still or has it been longer in some cases?
Dropped my HD off to them with newton rings, they neglected to email me the update page so I waited a week, called up, was told it was still being looked into, waited another week, called up, again told it was still being looked into, called back a week later, was told they were waiting on me to send them £184 or tell them to dispose of the phone! Finally got the link out of them so I could tell them what to do, apparently this wasn't possible over the phone.
Demanded my phone back, was informed it would be waiting for me, went to the repair centre in MK and created a scene until they returned my phone as they claimed they knew nothing of it, was not happy as they refused to honour the warranty.
Took it back to CPWH to let them try and get HTC to repair it, they sent it off, 3 weeks later it came back saying "no fault found" so was advised I could either let CPWH send it back to HTC and hope they actually read the fault report sent with it, or claim on insurance and get a new phone delivered the next day, I did the latter as I was totally fed up by then.
Geeez, sorry to hear about that, I hope my experience is better than yours! I've just got a status update saying the phone is currently being tested. I hope they fix it, the problem seems quite obvious when the touchscreen doesn't work, but it does work sometimes which is weird. Any one else got any more experiences?

disappearing apps

I turned on my gtablet today to notice that some of my apps are missing, including my Angry Birds! Even from the Downloaded list. I have not flashed or updated anything, and am operating on stock firmware. Is there any way to recover without losing my saved data? And did I do something to precipitate this loss?
This has happened to me before, but not on stock and it was usually when I was going between builds. This is the first time I've heard of this issue on stock.
AB, in particular, would be the one that disappears on me. You might want to give CS a call and report it. Maybe it's a known bug.
I had this happen on tnt lite with angry birds. I ended up installing it again and when I ran it found that I had not lost any of my progress. It happened again later and not sure how long it took because I wasn't paying attention but a couple of reboots later it showed back up on its own.
Wait til you hear CS's reply. I am to always leave it in sleep mode, and never turn it off, since doing so would run the risk of losing data. Imagine that! Then when I asked for another person to maybe help me troubleshoot it, she gave me a non functioning number. I love the gtab... but I am now seriously thinking of returning it to Sears.

Oh my. Do you know that the VS VP of Marketing is scanning the boards, now? Perhaps he'll see this.

What other number? If speaking to VS Gtablet customer service, they would help you there and not refer you to another number. Seems a communication goof and you may have been talking to the wrong folks. Especially what they told you to do to fix it.
Seems odd.
The Phone Number is:
If CS gave you the number: 800-888-8583, that is the number they gave me.
My problem is the touchscreen buttons won't respond. Customer Service said to call this number to send in my three day old G Tablet to be repaired.
The CS said they were not having issues with the touchscreen but I was the third person she had talked to today with the same problem. She had no other information on this and no fix.
That may be the number they gave you, for returns or repairs.
That was the number she gave me. I so want to keep my gtablet. I have about 2 weeks to go before my 30 days, so I might wait to see if the updates fix any of these problems. In the meantime, I had reset my tablet to factory start, so have to be reinstalling some of my apps. But I am dismayed by the lack of customer service, after believing in all the good things I had heard. The sad and ironic thing is that the tablet itself has great specs, and the company, VS, is a major name. So, I am giving them another chance.
This seemed to happen to me today as well....
I left for work, and put this in sleep mode. When I came and went to turn on, it tried to start as if it was off. When it got to the colorful X it shut off because it ran out of battery.
So I plugged in and started it up. It started with the setup screen (Google)... so I re-entered my info.
titanium backup came up with FC.
dolphin HD acted like the first time I used (setup screen) then it FC at end of setup.
restarted, titanium backup RC, yahoo messenger fc, same deal with dolphin.
oh angry birds seasons is gone.
I have tnt lite 2.4 that I loaded on Saturday with market fix and flash update. That's all I did. Market still looked full.
thinking reload and see what happens.

Touch Screen Going Out?

So for a few minutes after boot the touch screen works fine, if I use the keyboard to navigate I can keep it alive for about 30 seconds then it won't respond, lights for the home, back, menu, and search keys flicker on and off on their own. Running Cyclonic, never had an issue with it before, just started a few days ago. Any ideas on how to fix it? Or should I just get a new phone?

try restoring a backup then flashing the newest touchscreen update in the development thread
Still pretty buggy, it works more, but still not too responsive.
I had a problem that started like this. Eventually it just stopped.. Took it to Sprint because they claimed they could "fix" it. Nogo. Insurance covered it for free tho.
= Free phone. Just took two days. bam. Still frustrating run around. Fat chick cut me in line at the store. >:-(

Might just do that, Although I have been thinking about just getting a new phone since my contract is about up.
I've been having problems with my touch screen recently, it is just randomly unresponsive.. I also have a dead spot about 3/4 of the way up the screen, about as wide as my pinky all the way across the screen. It is quite annoying and frustrating because I have to constantly rotate my phone to be able to touch certain links or options. Isn't the Shift EOL?

Yes the Shift is scheduled to be EOL. But for everyone having touch screen issues. If you try a few different fixes, and they do not work. Then your next step should be to RUU back to stock. If it resolves the issue your golden. If that still doesn't resolve the issue, then it's time to take it back to Sprint. But at least this way your Stock Unrooted so they cannot blame it on something you did. Some Sprint centers, or even third party centers will not touch the device if it's rooted.
Actually there's been a dead zone for touch in my shift since I got it. And because of a whole bunch of crazy mishaps I got screwed it off insurance.. It's been less than a year, does HTC have a one year warranty like most phone companies?
Yes they do. But make sure when you take it in it is NOT ROOTED. Or they will insist it was something you did.

Thanks, I'm going to RUU back to stock.
Let us know how it goes.
It didn't doe my dead spot the last time but I'll give it another try tomorrow, if it solves some of the other weird problems I'm having I'll be happy
back to stock last night, and today the screen completely failed

Damm that sucks. Time to take it back to Sprint.
Well I had the opposite effect, I RUU'd back to Froyo (cuz it was already on my computer) did all the OTA updates and rerooted, and my problems seem to be fixed.. Should have done it awhile ago but my laptop is sketchy right now.. Easiest way to know if you gotta take it in or not plus you're back to stock so you can take it in.. try it if you're having touchscreen problems

A700 Touch Stops Responding

So, I just got my A700-32GB and it started out great but for some reason it started not responding to any touch after a few minutes. If I hit the power button to let it sleep and hit it again to power it up, it responds again for about a minute and then stops again. I did a factory reset and it works but after about 5 mins of use it does it again. Anyone else run into that prob? Well, needless to say, Acer wants me to send it in so I will be back to my A500 for a week...That sucks, but I'd rather have a working unit. I didn't have any problem with my A500, hope I didn't get a lemon.
They fixed it...So they say.
So, I sent the device back and monitored the status on the support site. Took 2 days to get there. 1 day later the status changed to resolved. I was supposed to get a follow up email with a tracking number but no dice. I looked it up and it listed resolved but no tracking number so I called. The guy was a tool from an India call center. He was hard to understand and it seemed like he didn't understand what I was asking. I got the tracking number after asking about 5 times. Then I asked if they found what was the matter with it. His response was, "It was a problem with the digitizer so they reset the software." So I asked if it a hardware problem and he said, "No" I asked to clarify if it was a problem with the digitizer hardware and or the OS and he said, "no, we reset the software." So, I hope I get back a working device that isn't going to crap out. It is scheduled to get here on Monday.
Wish me luck. I'll post my findings... Things were SOLID with the A500, I hope they didn't just screw this product up. I like my A500

Got an update for you all. So, I got the device back and the " Diagnosis/Repair" said that they reseated the digitizer cable and it fixed the problem. Well, it didn't!. It worked for about 5 mins and after that it started crapping out again. I called them and REAMED them a new one and they had to discuss it with a supervisor and they escalated me to the next level. Which means, my call got transfered from India to Texas.
After about 30 mins of walking the technician through my frustation, he sent me another Fedex Ground label (7days) and told me that he would ship it back Express (2 Days) after they repair it.
The "Diagnosis/Repair" this time says "Replaced mainboard and LCD module. All systems tested good." So, I turn it on and it is asking me if I want to updated the device. I canceled it for now to test it out and it seems to work fine.
So, does anyone think it might be the update that caused the issue? Should I try running the update? Anyone hear about the update causing a system hang?

Holy cr*p, why doesn't Acer just send you a new device? It's a lot faster, easier, customer-friendly and probably much cheaper.
The update is probably JB, which changes (fixes) the touch response. But since Acer replaced the whole motherboard and LCD (why not the friggin' touchscreen itself?), it should be nothing to worry about updating. Some people (US peeps mainly) are having trouble with the update yeah, but it should go well and if it doesn't, the tablet will (or should ) revert to the state before updating.
Good luck.

Well Mate, I have a 701. Long story, but it's my second 701. First was bricked due to a faulty CWM recovery.
As with all reported issues with ICS (initial build) touch screen will "lag" at certain times. Not totally unresponsive, but required 2 or 3 times selecting an icon for example. This I saw myself on occasion. So you were not seeing things
With the JB update, it seems these issues have mostly been fixed. I was prompted as soon as I started (my second tab), but waited till I filled out the Wizard. And checked to make sure things were normal. Then I did the update to JB.
Also know this, some icons in apps, require you to touch the point, in a slightly "offcenter manner". Like the refresh button on the Acer weather widget. Not sure if this is a widget/app programming error in the widget itself, or is caused by the 70x digitizer. Doesn't do it with all apps though.
Go for the update.

Flash always on

So does anybody have this problem on verizon?
I changed 2 phones with Asurion and both have this problem.
Is it software or hardware issue?
I don't know what to do
I have the edge from Verizon. I do not use the fast charger. This may not be relevant to the issue at all. But I usually charge my phone every night while turned off using a standard slow charger. When I first unplug the charger I can see the faint glow of the camera LED. Bye the time I'm finished getting ready in the morning the glow is gone. So sometime within a half an hour it stops on mine. After it goes out I cannot see it at all until I recharge it again. Not sure if there's a fix for it or not.

Well I can't trade in it forever. I guess that supplies that asurion have are all affected.
And i am risking to get refurbished phone since I got new one now.

Well you also don't want one where the flash is always on. You will have to keep trading it til you get one that works. Who cares if it's a refurb. A refurb will probably be free of these kind of bugs anyways. You could also use the samsung warranty and send it in to them to fix. But that is what a refurb is anyways. A fixed unit. Not sure why you are so turned off by the idea of a refurbished unit. I could understand if it looked like it's been in someone's pocket for 2 years but if what you get is indistinguishable between a new and a refurbished one than who cares. As long as it functions the way you expect it to.
Ok, they told me that they will send new one. I just hope so that that one will not have problem. Because it will be third phone from asurion I am getting and there is no way to call them one more time. I am feeling bad about that, it's Samsungs mistake not theirs.

Just in case :*I encountered the same problem on my device (French provider Orange Galaxy S6). Yesterday I flashed the most recent Samsung stock ROM*I could find (G920FXXU1AOD9 ), and things seems to be better now. After I use the flash, it now turns off, although quite slowly (it gets dimmer and dimmer until it is completely off). I would not say it is fixed, but it is a lot better than before, when it would stays lightly lit during at least several hours...
Finally the problem is back after a factory reset. Third replacement needed. Just great.
I have the same issue. I noticed it at 5AM a few mornings ago. I woke up and it was still dark in my room so I clearly saw that it was dimly lit. Very upset about this issue. Why is it an Asurion issue if it's a warranty issue, shouldn't Verizon just send a "new" s6 to you? Ideally, I'd like to trade it in for the same one, but in gold, which is what I wanted to begin with.
