My Xperia Ray Battery charge reach 0% and phone switched off, and it's not charging anymore not thru power or usb
can any one advice what to do ?????
If the phone wont charge via USB nor the wall socket you could try another USB cable at first. But if it makes no difference I think that you will have to get the phone examined at a repair center. Contact your local support team for info about repair centers in your area.

I just noticed something with my phone. When I am charging my phone it takes a really long long longggggg time to charge. Usually more than 8 hours. I kept tracking the charge and usually it remains on 99% forever. Sometimes if I get a call, or open the phone to check how much battery life was charged or just anything that makes the phone active a minute later its finished the charge. I think my charging is messed up and my phone will remain on 99% unless I make it active so it registers it as complete charge. Is there a setting or something that I am missing?
bump .
Is 99%-100% a big issue? The 8 hour charge sounds too long, but is that from the mains charger or from a usb charge?
Does the phone actually charge correctly & just not show the battery status properly? (charge it on the mains for 2 hours, then use the phone - if it lasts the day then its probably just the indication playing about).
Were you charging from the main USB port on your computer OR via the USB hub. there is a huge difference.
If you were charging through the USB port from your computer, you would be getting power exclusively for the phone
if you were charging through the USB hub, then your phone is fighting for power with other devices so therefore less power going to charge it.
your other choice is get yourself a cradle so you can mainline from a power outlet and also from the computer directly.

A self-powered (not bus-powered) USB hub would be able to deliver the same 500ma/port that the controller on the motherboard would deliver. In reality, most USB ports (both on motherboards and hubs) can deliver more than that, because there's a lot of poorly designed USB devices that'll draw more.
true. I did forget to mention self powered ports, just because I rarely have those kind of hubs. Godefroi is right. If your USB hub is powered via an adapter, then that should not be a problem, otherwise it can be either the cable or even the port itself.
Fuze - power outlet wont charge
I am getting really annoyed by this, someone please HELP!!! I have a Fuze and for some reason for the past few weeks my phone will not charge on a power outlet but it will charge on a usb and with the car charger. I have tried my dads charger same thing so i know its not my charger...
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi everyone,
My first post as I haven't been able to find an answer. My Photon Q was probably about 30% charge when I last checked with it on. An hour or 2 later it was a little warm and was off. So I went to charge it using the car charger with 500mah charge rate. I came back about an hour later and the phone was really hot and no charging screen so I unplugged it. The green led light is lit when the phone is plugged in.
I tried holding the power button and volume down button, but it won't boot. If I have the usb charging cable plugged in from a PC or charger adapter when pressing those buttons, the green light will flicker off for a fraction of a second.
I then proceeded to dismantling the phone as I suspect a battery issue and the one in this phone is stupidly non-removable. After taking the back cover off, I tested the battery posts and received 0 volts. I still don't know if the battery caused the drain or if there's a short in the phone. I then took off the inside cover that holds the battery in. A few T5 screws later and the battery was removed. I connected the battery to some AA batteries in series to see if I could get a charge. A few hours later I got it up to 3 volts which held for several hours. So I connected it to a few more AA batteries in series to try and raise the voltage. I got it up to 3.67 volts and the battery is listed at 3.7 volts.
A day later and the voltage is still at 3.67 volts so I put the battery in the phone. I went to try and power it on, but nothing. I then connected it to a usb cord and received the slow flashing red led light a couple times before switching to green. The battery started getting warm again connected to the usb charger. After 20 minutes it was approaching hot so I unplugged the USB. The battery read 3.54 volts. 30 minutes later, 0 volts again.
Does anyone know what the actual voltage range is for this phone, as my old Samsung M320 is also 3.7 volts, but when testing the battery I get 4.10 volts? I heard it's pretty specific on minimum voltage. Any ideas for a temporary battery or way to boot the phone before spending $50 on a replacement battery and then find out there's a short in the phone. Is there another key combination to boot the phone, I'm trying to boot it to at least get my pictures and other data off it.
Thanks a lot in advance
Matt
Not the battery, seems to be an electrical short but where
I bought a new battery for the phone which had a 0 volt charge when I received it. I tried putting it in the phone as is to use the phone charger to charge it, but got nothing. So I charged it using 2, then 3 and then 4 AA batteries in series to get it up to 3.7 volts. I then put the battery in the phone and noticed the 2 large chips and the chip centered above them located by the camera get a little hot. I tried with the charger connected and not connected, but same thing. Power button doesn't turn the phone on. Just the green led lit when the USB power cable is attached. So now it seems there must be a short in the phone. Anyone know where I can look to check for a short, blown resistor or something in this phone? Or at least where the rom chip is located so maybe I can turn it into a usb drive to get my data at the least.
Anyone? I still haven't been able to find a solution. I don't see pins touching, but if some pins are touching in the usb port, would that cause the heat issues when I put a battery in that I charged externally? I do get the green led light when I plug the phone in to charge so figure that means the usb is ok?

did you try a other charger ? do you have oryginal photon charger ? for me its not a reason of battery
regards
(in situation like that charging with normal usb cable when you plug phone to pc dont charging battery, you need motorola usb service cable to make it work)

Yep used the motorola cable that came with the phone (plugged in the wall and just the cable in multiple computers, another motorola house charger (the same as the one that came with the phone), a motorola car charger, and a samsung house charger.
When you say motorola usb service cable, I assume you're not talking about the motorola cable that comes with the phone? What usb service cable are you referring to?

i think charging dock is short cause i have used my Mobile underwater :crying: Can anyone help me? Any suggestions?
hmm, try to clean with abit alcohol with thin cloth the usb port, and air pressure
(the port got rubber on it you can see it even on the photo you have uploaded)
might be some salt making short on the conductors
(in case you didn't swim in sweet water according to sony the phone P68 should survive only in sweet water)
Please send your phone to repair service. The charging via power supply is defect. Charging via USB cable on computer will work. They will change the motherboard. I had this problem last week too.
Actually I brought an used Xperia XZ dual sim without accesories. So for charging I used a Tronsmart Qualcom certified Quickcharger 2.0 charger and a cheapest usb Type C cable . But the problem is even it shows charging the device discharges very quickly instead of charging when connected to a PC , Powerbank or the said charger. Is the device faulty or it needs a high quality cable and charger and also in 22% charge i get only 1 hour 30 mins around screen on time with Wifi off and low brightness.
The person who sold me the cell showed me its charging with another cable and charger (LE ECO Cable and charger ).
You can try installing some kind of "ampere" application (its free on the market) and tell us what mA does your usb port provides to the f8332 it gotta be at least 170. Try charging in airplane mode. And last but not least never charge your phone on regular basis from a usb port
Hi All,
It is been two days since My Xperia XZ won't charging when I use sony charger or any charger using any cable (USB type-C), but it doesn't have any problem connecting to any PC (charging or transfering files).
I use charger and cable from my Xperia XZ box and its been a year since I use my phone.
What can I do to fix this problem? Any suggestions?
Thankyou
Not sure if you resovled....try holding UP VOLUME and OFF button for 120 seconds (do not let go - ignore vibrations).
Device will then be in powered off state...connect charger and leave off.
It should show RED Charge LED.
Let charge to 100% then power on device.
same problem
i have the same problem and i dont know what to do, the only way i charge the phone is by useing a normal 5v 1.67A charger and put the usb-c cable with it , but it takes 2h or more to fully charge.

Hi, i am also experiencing the same problem. My XZP is rooted and i noticed that it is not charging normally lately, after the root i had no problem.
I exclude that it is the plug of the Sony, because after the reset (volume up+OFF for 12 sec) it works for a while.
It must be something related to Sony's intelligent charge.
It's really annoying, does someone have some clue on how to solve it?
EDIT: it is ptobably a hardware problem, either the plug or the board connector. I will try to open mine and fix it.
