Anyone here use a remote desktop to try and control their HTC Sensation and run any ICS firmware?
I'm using Remote Web Desktop and when attempting to remotely control my phone I just get a garbled screen. Have also tried various other VNC options and all result in the same....apart from the Android Screencast.
I am running Virtuous Inquisition 2.1.0 with the latest 3.24.x firmware, and Windows 7 Home Premium x64

AFAIK, you can't install ActiveX on WinMo.
So, it for laptop only...
I had used mocha vnc for windows mobile,
I am not impressed with the touch support, I had used vnc on the iphone before and it works much better with multi touch support.
also is there good vnc server that I can install on my phone

You can use default Remote Desktop included in all Windows versions (it's included too at WinMo). I have used it, and it works fine. The only problem is adjust the remote desktop to the screen of the HD2...
I have a server running at the moment using Ubuntu that runs XBMC as the main GUI. I also use it as a transmission server (for my torrents). The laptop I use has firefox with a torrent plugin that makes my server download the torrent when clicked on with my laptop... I want to know if that is possible using firefox on the transformer? I use the bittorrent ui plugin.

In Windows 7 is there a way to get the TF to work with Windows better? If we can enable panning and scrolling for Windows when we remote, it would function smooth together. You could touch the screen and drag it to move the page. Anyone have solutions for this?

Hi all,
As the title says, I'm after one of the following:
1. the ability to emulate a Android TV/Google TV/Chromecast receiver on my android PC (I've seen this ability on other android mini PCs)
2. an app which I can use to control my Android PC in an intuitive way.
I would prefer 1 as this will allow me to use existing apps out there (Android Remote Control, Google TV) which are intuitive and well made. I've see that this is possible on other Android Mini PCs (via turning on an option in the settings menu)
I'm not interested in those bluetooth/wlan mouse/keyboard apps. I'm more after something that allows swiping, has buttons such as home etc. I'm currently using a bluetooth keyboard/mouse which works well. But I'm after something that'll utilise my phone instead. I have an Android and iPhone.
I found some apps however they have the following limitations:

I can see there's an app called DroidMote available. Is that the best alternative?

I use droidmote for my mini droids, Google playstore is your friend, am well pleased with it! Uses Wi-Fi to connect to your droid so plenty stable and fast

Thanks mate. I got droidmote last night but haven't had a chance to use it. Because I have a very old android which I don't use so I would prefer to know if there's a similar app for iPhone
Not a phone app but if your device is rooted, you can install an app called webkey that lets you remote control it from another computer's Web browser. It will display the entire desktop and let you control it using your mouse and keyboard.
