Is it possible to 'take-over/control' the Transformer from a PC?
I have bought Splashtop Remote Desktop HD, and it's a wonderful app to control a PC from the Transformer, but is there a app that does the opposite?

i need to run oracle application server program on xoom, under xoom browser and firefox browse, it needs a special plugin to firefox, and it didn't run at xoom browser.
is there any solution?
I tried JRE (JPI) and it didn't work too.

So I have a 2007 Macbook running Snow Leopard. I want to turn it into a file and media server/personal cloud I can leave in a closet at home. I want to be able to store files on it and stream media from it accessible from windows PCs and my GNote 10.1.
Any ideas on software for the macbook, PC and Android tablet that can accomplish all of this?
Have u tried to ask in apple forum?
There might be more users know. This type of question, will be answer faster by apple user/dev, since u want to use ur mac as the server.

Yes. Find a Linux distro and install it. It'll come with all of the servers you need. Just configure and start.

No one who responded in Mac forums had any idea how to do what I wanted. I will probably go the linux route. Thanks guys.
If this is going to be mostly for media files, have you thought of PLEX or even PS3 media server for osx?

Ah yes, I forgot about Plex. I think I will have Plex regardless, but wanted something that can handle a bit more than media too. Thanks for the suggestion! I will also look into PS3 media server.

One other thing you could do, if you can find the builds, is just download and install Apache http server for web access, U-Share for UPnP access, and Samba for Windows file sharing access. For any other servers you need, just install programs for them as needed. There's all kinds of different single-purpose server programs. That way you could keep OSX installed and usable. I did the same thing on a Windows XP machine a while back. However, I eventually ended up running so many different server apps that it just made more sense to turn it into a dedicated server and I installed Fedora linux. That machine's still up and running today. It's just a suggestion.

You can use basic SSH and a app that can stream from ssh to a video player, ex FX Explorer + MX Player. With this potent tablet, you don't need any transcoding, it has the best HW decoder available.
If you need it to be accessible only from internal network, then you should use SAMBA server (basic windows share).
As an OS, i am recomanding Ubuntu you can do bouth type of sharing with ease !
What is the best RDP client for my TF700?
One that i can stream video/audio to my TF700 from my computer without hickups.
I see that PocketCloud have one... that cost a bit of money if you want to use 1920x1080 resolution.
I dont mind paying if i know it works good.

Why not download the free version to see if you like the results? The only features the free version lacks is the ability to configure multiple servers, custom resolutions, and support for WYSE's encryption scheme.
Streaming full-motion video over RDP is going to be a tall order for any app because of the limitations of WiFi and the fact that RDP isn't optimized for that kind of full-frame rendering. Have you considered something like installing Remote Potato on the server side and using Remote Media Center on the tablet side to stream your content? There are of course other packages for streaming content such as Plex or PS3 Media Server if you prefer something not dependent on Microsoft's Media Center framework.
I'm also a fan of PocketCloud; I even bought the paid version. For video I've had a lot better luck with MediaHouse and a UPnP server on my desktop.
I have used them all and the best by far is xtralogic. It does everything using native rdp compression so it is fast, has support for remoteapp, and is as "real time" as you can get with a rdp session. I currently have several users that use their tf700 as a thin client for their primary desktop. It works very well and is highly customizable.
If you are not tech savvy, go with a different one though. It requires a real rdp connection- so it works with terminal services and gateways flawlessly. If you know how to connect to the computer that you want to through a regular windows rdp session-- this will work the exact same.
The best I have found for the video/audio streaming requirement is splashtop thd-- IF you have a recently made nvidia graphics card. Can't beat that combination.

Google updated their Youtube application, so that works very well now too.
But i use RDP often to my servers, so i bought it anyway.
For video stored on my server i found a file browser application with a nice SMB addon/builtin. File mamanger HD (play store link)
I've tried root explorer, astro, and a bunch more, but i found this the best. Can save shortcuts to shared folders on my fileserver.
I also bouhgt MX player (pro?) and it plays almost everything!
It's soon becoming a laptop replacement.

I want to run an chromecast vm or chromecast viewer on cloud to i can broadcast from my phone that only detects chromecast devices to my tv using some kind of vnc or browser running vm.
I am trying do this on apkonline.net emulator and on onworks, but i woul like to get any sugestions. I havent for now a computer.
Im trying do this using OpenVPN cloud but i dont know how can i do this connection to work fine.
Who can give me a tip?
