Hey everyone. I need to start out by apologizing for the slow start on my XDA TV show. It turns out that doing interviews over hotel internet doesn't work no matter where you are in the world. My business trip has ended, which means my show, XDA Insider, is ready to get going.
My show is all about you! The community. Each week I will be sitting down with a developer, admin, moderator, or anyone else who helps contribute to the community.
Obviously, I can't kick start the show without a guest, so this is my callout: Would you like to be on XDA Insider? Post here or send me a private message containing 2 pieces of information - 1. what you do on this site 2. what times during the day you are available for interview.
Please remember that this show will be interactive, so we will need to set a recording date so I can give the community ample time to ask any questions they would like.
Show recording times
I prefer to record the show on Sunday in the morning Japan Time (+9), but anytime Sunday should be fine. Keep in mind that this is Saturday evening for those of you in the Americas
Suggested Recording Times Based on Location
Americas: Saturday evening or Sunday morning (This is Sunday morning or evening for me)
Europe and Africa: Sunday morning (This is Sunday afternoon for me)
Asia and Australia: Our times are similar. Mid-day would be best to adjust for the couple hours difference.

Hi guys,
I want to root my wife's Charge. i have a lot of experience rooting HTC phones but I have never looked into Samsung rooting. its seems Odin must be a root tool?

To be fair, I'm pretty sure I've used every ROM that has ever been available for the Charge and yours is the best both in terms of features and stability.

Lol - No worries, I'm no dev by any means and were this phone one that had the attention of the more dev-minded I doubt my tinkerings would've seen the light of day (on a forum at least). I know I'm a small fish in an ever-shrinking-smaller pond - I just thought it was a humorous (and fair mind you) way of assessing my little learning project. No offense was taken

But you can only share how you did it via pm? Can't share with the community publicly? That kind of defeats the whole point of open source development.
I'm more than happy to eat crow if you actually did this, but share your work in the forum so the entire community can benefit. That is what is in the true spirit of the xda community.

Well you made a claim that you did something that was largely thought to not be possible. You provided no support for your claim, just an insulting post to another user who made a legitimate point that he didn't think the mod was possible. You only felt the need to tell that poster he was wrong and offered no proof of such, then you disappeared for 6 days.
Why would anyone give that post the benefit of the doubt? Be insulted all you want. But your original post about this was fairly nasty by just saying "you are wrong". Then no one heard anything from you for 6 days. You cannot deny that looks an awful lot like trolling.
You also kind of made it seem like you personally made the mod, which you didn't. Im sure this wasn't intentional but it still kind of looked that way and some developers get testy about that sort of thing. You even used the actual mod developer's screenshots. When posting links to other people's work please always give the specific person who did the work proper credit so there is no confusion about who's work it is. And begging for thanks in any post like in your other thread is kind of lame. If your post is helpful to people, they will thank you. Begging for thanks kind of defeats the point.

Please refrain from posting like this in my threads. An opinion is one thing but such harsh judgment about someone who was doing something to benefit everyone for free is not open to discussion in my threads, especially when they have continued to work on the free to you project. Please make your own thread or post elsewhere about it - I'm guessing you probably already have.

He's not working for free for me since I have no rooted devices at the moment. But Google wanted to screw over the rooting community and they will now that they have him on their payroll. Sorry for the judgement but it's the honest truth. Just like apple started hiring the jailbreakers and now jailbreaking is almost gone the same will happen to rooting given a few years

Looks like he's been doing some vbmeta tweaks and updates. I know someone was working on fixing the bootloop problem when flashing to opposite slots during OTAs on Pixels. Maybe we'll get some more progress on that.
Glad he took a break to recharge...
Oh, and one more thing..."we" are not more important than his career. We should be grateful for all he's done and that he is continuing to work on Magisk. He owes us nothing. Peace...

Developers are gonna like Zygisk
There literally gonna be a lot of new modules that weren't possible on magisk 23.0 and below
