In their eyes the problem isn't the medium from which we download the content. It's the content itself that is the problem.
I use dropbox and box accordingly. their Terms of Service state that anything you upload belongs to them. So with that being said i know they go though my stuff and if they don't like it, or find it violates privacy laws they can get rid of it.

Wow...the level of hypocrisy on XDA is just astounding. You have people playing the warez police (some of them moderators, some not) in every thread when someone even asks about an app but none of them mention anything about the "tweaks" and "fixes" to get tethering for free which is flat out ripping off the mobile providers (not that I'm crying for Verizon, AT&T, Sprint etc). I get that they have to cover their asses and distributing warez on XDA is not a road they ought to go down, but to **** a brick when somebody links to an article that links to yet another site where an app may be located is just asinine, especially while deliberately overlooking things like unlocking free tethering which is basically theft of service.
Back on topic, I kind of see this as counter-intuitive. As said before, Swype makes more sense because it improves on something we already know how to use vastly. This is like reinventing the wheel. Almost literally.
Everyone referring to warez and hypocrisy, please sh.
Anyway, I kinda agree with yall. The way it works is simple enough, and it doesn't take as long as you'd think to learn where the keys are. Just like swype, it takes time to get used to. Literally with ten minutes I've got it down, just by typing the same couple of words over and over again. The key behind this is that it becomes a muscle memory process of thoughts to words, without the middle ground of a keyboard layout.
I'm still the world's biggest advocate for swype, but I'll sure give this a chance.

New feature on TiBu:
I never noticed this until today. Since the last update, dropbox has been integrated into TiBu that allows to upload the backup files to dropbox, as a secondary storage location in addition to storing on phone. This can be enabled by selecting enable dropbox option under preferences. Deselecting dropbox feature erases the dropbox stored credentials too, and will prompt user to enter them again when enabling again.
Please do not flame me if u already know about this. Am putting it here since this came in a silent update, and unless a person reads changelog/plays with preferences would not come to know. In fact the dropbox sync button is not visible until u enable it in preferences. (I noticed this only today )
I am not sure if free version too has this or not, but I sure have this feature in mine (paid version).
Note: I created a new set of backup using industrial encryption (1024 bits) for added security, and then uploaded to dropbox.

I haven't been able to make it work. I keep getting a Dropbox error. What a bummer, one of the main reasons I bought the premium version was to get the dropbox support.
try going into preferencess > failsafe dropbox code.
It's been there for a while now. Useful, nonetheless.

Had that same problem. I went into dropbox and deleted the folder it created and then kicked off another sync making sure I had full Wi-Fi signal. Worked much better since then.

It's the Internet. If someone is a **** to you and you take it personally, your doing the internet wrong. And people generally aren't dicks when you follow the rules.
Now the OP knows it probably shouldn't have gone here, he learned. He won't do it again. If he's gonna cry cause some anonymous person was mean to him, let him. If he laughs it off and doesn't take it personally and learns from it then there is no hard feelings, just like it should be.

Just an FYI I'm a total noob here but I've been around online forums for well over a decade in various iterations... from back in the old BBS days (tho with different handle/nick/alias/whatever the cool kids are calling them these days - I wasn't a "mama" back then). I'm a social researcher these days, can't get the hardware nerdiness out of my system (I'm the biggest tech geek of any gender in the social sciences departments at my university I think... I want to cry every time one of the profs says something about using a thumbdrive and gets confused when I ask them why they don't use services Dropbox instead since there's campus-wide wifi).

THUMB DRIVES?? DROPBOX? OMG, Are you living in.. like... the DARK ages? Don't you know that we can store information in fingerprints now? Like, I have terrabytes of information all over the screen of my 7+. That information is probably more durable than ANYTHING stored on dropbox!
I just haven't figured out, yet, how to transfer that information into the tab's memory. I'll get there eventually. Maybe if I turn it inside-out.
The reason for the 'sarcastic diva' thing was based in another forums, for the sgh-i777. Someone accused all developers of being diva's, and I figured that if I was going to be called a 'diva', I'd at least be a sarcastic one.
