Change 3G Icon

Stupid question, but does anyone have a mod that changes just the Ev to 3G, I've seen it packaged in full mods but most of them don't seem to suit what I'm looking for.

Why not just do it yourself? Its easier than relying on others...

Actually, ive contributed a hell of a lot more than you have. And how did I crap on this thread or any other thread? I simply stated to try it himself. Its easy to do. You obviously havent seen the themes thread with my work or even some of the Mod threads ive created and posted in. You should keep your mouth shut when it comes to my contributions. You have no clue. So you sir, can go crap on yourself with your stupid ass comments.

notice i said contributed outside your own threads, i've seen your name on plenty of stuff, but in any thread i've seen you comment, its either, "use the search you stupid noob", "do it yourself", "lmgtfu" or some other not at all witty remark.
if the guy wanted to do it himself, he would have said that, he's requesting someone to do it for him.

to the OP, you can find the images used for this in the com.htc.resources if you are using a sense based ROM i guess. if you feel like attempting to mess with stuff. hope that helps.

On a personal note, Vince has always been more than willing to help me, and has done so on numerous occasions. And I have thanked him for it. So I do not agree wih this statement at all. And, I think hes funny.

To the OP noob, depending on your rom all your icons for the 3g will either be in framework-res.apk or com.htc.resources.apk. all you need to do is drag and drop the images you want in the /Res/mdpi folder making sure the names match. Push the apk back to your phone, reboot and all should be well.

Begining to Dev. Need sugestions

Hey guys. I cam to the epic hopeing to see more roms and more exciting things. Instead, I saw a not really supported device. So I am going to begin to port other 2.1 roms so it could fill the gaps we have between getting froyo. So I need some start suggestions. My first port is going to be the Droid X rom 2.1. So if you guys want me to port other 2.1 roms, you would have to send me a ROM dump please.

Dude he obviously has no idea wtf he is doing. He thought we could port the I9200 leak to the epic in a few minutes.... rofl.

Misspelling words are kinda key when developing. You don't want to misspell something and have it ruin your day with a device. He honestly doesn't know what he's doing. My only reason for the comment was due to the Gingerbread he wanted ported in 20 minutes. Go read that thread and you may agree with me then.

I realize that. I speak 2 languages myself. But I don't want him touching anything when commands need to be SPELLED CORRECTLY. He obviously struggles with simple words.

Ok... but maybe he is a fast learner, maybe he could help out the community.... you never know, so why not try helping him instead of putting him down?

again tho, if he had come in and said hey my dad works for google i can get a leak of gingerbread for yall can someone help me, we woulda laughed but tried anyways.
instead a few weeks ago he joined heroc channel on fossnet and started pretending he was darchstar (one of our best devs) and he had a leak he was gunna work on with cm team to port it over. since then its spiraled into him being banned on fossnet and him evading it. now he is on the forum in another thread claiming there is a leak for gingerbread and demands that it is ported over, when i bust on him for being a fake he come in here and says he is gunna port a whole lot of roms for us we just need to supply the dumps....
again if he came here asking for tips on learning on how to start rom developing im sure he would have gottena lot of useful tips, instead he came in here like a fool and as such.... this is not an attack on him because of his age.. bubby323 has one rom out and is working on a sense port and he is under 18 (if he chooses to disclose his real age thats on him) but a matter of the mindset.

I'm 14. Oh, and I have 2 ROMs out.

Ok listen up. Frst of all, I am typing straight from my epic, give me a break on spelling. Secound, I am not going to be developing on my own, as you may all know about IncredibleDoes in the incredible forum, well he was nice enough to offer to help me step by step on my first rom port (Droid X). I am still waiting on a reply from him so give me some time. And third of al, all of you ar telling me to port this that are not 2.1 roms when in the thread I said specificly 2.1! So calm down guys. I'm only trying to help.

Going to a concert at an abandoned warehouse in Detroit, it'll be fun, kind of sketchy because in like the worst part of town, but should be fun none the less. But I got the day off of work today so I'm flashing my new nightly and enjoying the freedom.

I'm doing some casino boat ride Friday night with a couple of friends, hopefully everyone behaves themselves. You are lucky to have the day off today. The next time I'm seeing freedom like that is sat. I also need a new rom to flash.

What kind of rom are you looking for? AOSP or Sense? I've definitely been in love with CM7 Nightlies. I used the stable and the RC and they were alright, but the nightlies have been awesome for me.

Just want to say I am enjoying the change of regime. You all are really mod'ing it up, and it is an improvement. Thank you.

That's the thing I don't know what I want. Both aosp and sense have their pros and cons. This is what happens when we have great devs that spoil us with so many great roms. I'm a fat kid in a candy store . Gonna probably give stardroid a whirl later on.

i was on sense up until i started on gingerbeast. i ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. Battery life is great, it's fast, its smooth, its clean. No program incompatibilities or programs crashing. it's really nice. and the only tihng i really missed was a proper dialer with t9 and both dialer one and go contacts/dialer solve that problem. i'd highly recommend it if you want something clean, but the only caveat is that di11igaf, the guy that made the rom, left att recently he has promised us an update, but tehre's no telling when it will come out.
as for me, i'm trying to decide between ARHD 5 and stock rooted. arhd juts has a bunch of stuff and mods so i've found it to be slower than i like, but stock rooted is only froyo :\
anyways, back to off-topic - nothing big going on tihs weekend so i have time to relax with my family

I would suggest rumrunner. It is pretty much a stock gingerbread build tailored for the inspire.
This weekend for me will consist of plenty of job hunting. Damn unemployment.....

The worst part of Detroit? I think that qualifies as the worst place in America. This weekend I'm taking my wife to the Oregon Coast for our anniversary. Since summer finally arrived in the PNW, I figured it's time to get outside. I may even leave my Inspire turned off. Dun dun duuuunnnnn!

sbf is NOT a custom rom. its a stock flash.
i dont think you fully understand the bootloader on the atrix....please keep the negativity towards the devs out of here.

As of right now all we really need to use is factory reset if something gets messed up. Custom Roms sounds nice but I'm more interested in overclock this puppy and adding some extra lock screens. *sits and waits patiently*

i think at the moment, as SBF is more important than a custom rom. we NEED the ability to go back to factory...

Sbf is step 1 toward getting the Atrix 2 development friendly.
I laughed out loud when I saw your post on the official moto forum, cheetablaze, it was a good try though.
We don't typically provide these files to the consumers as they are not customer friendly.

Did I say it was a custom rom or did you assume thats what I meant? What did I say negatively about any dev? I'll be the first to admit I dont know jack about the bootloader, thats no secret, hence my thread asking why its necessary to unlock it to dev roms for it. Thats all.

What is this bashing people at xda ? Atrix 2 owners need a sbf and respectable member for providing the sbf is daywalker04, pm him and ask for the sbf. He will ask for some files from your phone and then he will try to locate the file for all of us.
Please keep nice and dont let anyone ruin atrix2 forums like they did at the original atrix forums.

re-read your comment. if it wasnt meant to be derogatory, then fine. you made it sound as if devs owed you a rom, even if it was stock based. i dont think you understand what devving a rom entails. please stop comparing this to the sony you used to have. i can tell you from my experience with motorola, htc, and samsung that none of them are similar....im going to assume that sony would be different as well. just because something works for one device does NOT mean it will work for another. same reason we couldnt get anything really decent over on the atrix until the BL was unlocked. every device is different, some even within the same manufacturer dont act the same as another within. patience, please. i dont know if you noticed, but there arent exactly a ton of developers coming over to the atrix2 side of things right now. we will work with what we have. now that i have my vivid, i can start focusing on tearing up the atrix 2.

agreed. i came over here from atrix forums in hopes that we could have a nice community without all the BS that took place over there.
i will talk to daywalker04 and see if he can assist.

LMAO. You come at me sideways based on your assumption and/or misinterpretation and the best you could come up with is "fine"? Not even an attempt at an apology or acceptance of your inappropriate reaction? Wow, ok. Seems kind of counterproductive to your wanting a peaceful forum with no bashing when you're the one coming in pointing the finger at me for doing something I didnt even do. And then you cant even man up and own the fact that you overreacted and apologize for doing so. Sweet!
I've already made it clear my level of understanding of not only the Android system but also the Atrix 2, not gonna rehash that.
Check my resume here on xda, I have never been one of those guys who felt like any developer owed me anything! I'm always appreciative of anything I have ever gotten from them and have even donated to a couple (unsolicited) to show my appreciation for their work so for you to even insinuate anything other ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS BASED YOUR MISINTERPRETATION AND/OR MISUNDERSTANDING of what I said is offensive and disrespectful.

go read your post again from the perspective of someone thats working on a rom already, then come back here and tell me it didnt sound bad. it sounded resentful that nobody had spit out any roms for you to play with yet.
its people like you that make me want to get rid of the phone or keep all my work to myself.
