Wouldn't CM7 fill that void, and this just be a skinned version of it? You should probably give credit where credit is due, and in this case that would be a LOT to the Cyanogenmod team, since all you're doing is putting a skin on it (and there are already a few skins available for CM7 alpha).

I haven't released the rom yet so no credit has to be given at this time. So thanks for the heads up.

You're extremely vague in your post, there are no screenshots, no additional information, nothing. I wouldn't dare flash your ROM without some credit given and some credibility.

Ehh I wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Most of the people that run their social sites aren't to tied in with what's actually going on. You can look at their moderators posts on the lg forums and tell that.
But at least its a glimmer of hope. If they would just open source their development and drivers our devs could already have a fully working build.

exactly how I see it. The people that run that site have horrible intent and do not seem to no much. That and every other site they moderate (lg forums) they say "they don't know much about g2x." So we shall see.

I have an email fdom.lg confirming g2x release is due in q2.. i just didnt post here previously cuz ppl flaming me. peace of mind that is why i am hanging on g2x.

when is q2 exactly? april-june? i doubt it but im really hoping! im so sad about g2x development its near dead thanks to some of the developers that are trying to keep it alive!! might switch to a nexus s and stick with it fora while.. dual core doesnt do much as i just use it as a phone anyways . . .
btw downclocked to 800 mhz the g2x and i get better battery life than the iphone

I was thinking the same thing, lol. But i do believe the G2x will get official ICS. The device is more than capable, i just hope they hired some new devs that can teach LG how to code properly this time around.

I didn't intentionally "hi-jack" this thread, just didn't think that a guy posting about an image that we could have taken (if I'm not mistaken) with the test builds we had from azuske/daemon team. But I didn't want to start a whole new thread for some smoke we have ENOUGH ICS threads lol... I just figured I'd finally share that.
And this wasn't a defensive post I know or assume no one was attacking me.

You just have to believe with caution. (never put 100% on what is said.
When the ICS is release you and many will have to go to windmobile web and apologize to anon123, and many others who told you that it is coming.
The G2X is the USA version of the O2X...and I think it says it all.

i don't think something like a 3D ICS ROM could be possible to begin with we are starting to get limited with memory available and on top of that we will need a dedicated GPU for the 3D effects you want to have(correct me if im wrong), why would you like to have something like that? in my opinion is just useless and wasted resources. no offense and i don't intend to sound rude but i do think is useless to do something like that.

I think it will be nice if a developers do that. Nice idea like that.! ;-) we need new ideas

Yeah you are right but it would open up alot of doors when it comes to innovation, it won't be perfect the first time, but that's the purpose, sooner or later it'll be perfected and also alot of other Devs by that time would have already taken the creative step to unique ROMs and custom ROMs would be revolutionized

i hear you, sometimes is good to come up with ideas, i myself have been working on learning aobut porting and compiling roms, once i finish with that i would love to jump on launcher creations as i have several ideas myself, time is the only problem but i think i can do it.
I encorage you to do the same my friend, i know developing on android can be hard and more difficult when nobody can explain things and you have to rely on whatever information you have, probably you can be the first dev with a custom 3D fully functional ICS rom? , would love it if a developer could explain to me many things but until that happens this forum has been the best friend i have, pretty much every question i had so far has been answered by older threads.

Kinda, I want to make it where there are different 3D styles you can choose from, and yeah right now I'm learning, hopefully one day I can do it, and thats really cool you should let me know if you release that, it looks clean!

im sure of it too but like you said who knows when. i only stated that because some people are just gonna assume that off the bat everything is gonna be 100% and thats why some people are gonna be so excited but then b!#%* and complain when something goes wrong. im not saying any of you are im not throwing any shots im just saying. i have seen this happen with other devices and such

Regardless it'll be interesting. My htc hd2 already has devs working on it as well. Can't wait for both devices.

JB animations and such probably that'll be nice lol, there isn't a whole of change that we should get out of this without proper drivers and a beta (official) build. Still glad they dropped so early!

I believe it won't be worse than ICS, because its pretty much the same thing, just a tiny bit more optimized. The optimization should technically require less resources, so it might be a bit better.
On the otherhand, it could be a jumbled mess too

Like I said I wasn't talking about anyone specific it was more of a future reference type thing. Like I know someone is gonna be so anxious but then curse out devs and talk crap about their work afterwords when a simple bug goes wrong

Oh of course, I'm on your side with this. Tbh, we're lucky to still have the few devs that we do. I'm not one to b!tch and complain. I respect these guys for everything. And the phone is plagued with bugs anyways, its cool if something doesn't work. What I think is that there should be tight moderation. Our section is pretty clean compared to others, and it should stay that way.

+1, couldn't have agree more, and couldn't have said it better myself. If I could, I would be one of those badas* devs who pushes out weekly huge updates, but I can't so, I rely if great devs. And these devs will stay, as trolls won't clutter this place. And its people like you and me who will be the ones to keep things up around here.

Over the weekend, I began an "Unclefest v2" thread in which users were encouraged to pull together to donate to SeanZ for a 48 hour window with the intent of simply letting him know how much we appreciate everything he donates to us (time, energy, passion, etc). The moderator closed the thread on the basis that it wasn't the "XDA way," specifically citing XDA rules that by all means, in one's interpretation, would warrant the Unclefest thread being closed. There are alternative viewpoints on the matter, of which I subscribe, but I clearly communicated to the mod that I respected his decision because he's the mod. Throughout the whole interaction, the mod was a true professional about it. Without the mods, there would be no XDA and it'd be yet another crap-filled gutter of a forum within the cyberworld. Nevertheless, the Uncleest situation upset me, and I can only assume it upset SeanZ too.
Today, the mod shut down SeanZ's "best beard" thread in the General forum. I have no clue if there was any discussion between the mod and SeanZ about this. I suspect SeanZ is pulling his threads in protest, with the viewpoint that he generates a lot of traffic for the website and feels like the mod's aren't giving him a fair shake. An alternative viewpoint of this is simply that the XDA Skyrocket General thread is described as "Discussion about the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket (general chat, tips & tricks, etc)," not beards. Ultimately it is indeed the mod's call.
I ask you all to just relax, take some time away from XDA, and not get too emotional. If you want to express anything about this situation, it should probably be in the General section or via PM to fellow users or the mod. Definitely NOT in the Dev section.
Do not forget this: SeanZ has always taken care of us. He'll either be back when he's ready, or he'll let us know where to find him in the cyberworld.

All i hear is my wife.*****ing bc im always on tour and whe. Im not om modding the phone
And the people i have access to across 5 continents
Makes a difference
I follow the.rules i make the rounds
And make one post about a beard contest and its instantly revoked
I promote this website to all of my fans
They know where i go and what i do
I post links to the nerdy ones
And so a little post asking to vote is too much??
Like they say the customer is always right
And when you piss off one.. the chainreaction is usually the downfall well i have atleast 50k at my disposal how many you got?
