Question about OnLive for Android - Android Apps and Games

This is my first ever post not sure if its in the right place but is it possible in anyway for me to play games through the onlive app on my sony ericsson u20i ? Help would be much appreciated thanks

why not try downloading it and trying a demo? It's free.....
or are you trying to say you've tried and it doesn't work because your android version is too old and the specs of the phone are too poor? If so then you're probably out of luck...

Im trying to say my android version is 2.1 and it requires 2.3 + to download I need to know if rooting my phone and installing a 2.3 gingerbread rom would allow me to do this

wow if there's an update for your phone from 2.1 then why haven't you done it yet?

Is it possible to update the Xperia X10 to Android 2.1?

I've checked everywhere but I've gotten mixed replys. Some say it's possible, others say it's on the way, and others say it's impossible.
So, what's the deal? Can we flash the Xperia X10 to the Android 2.1 system yet?

No Not yet..
Nope. Not possible yet. Not until the bootloader is hacked.
Not to discredit our wonderful developers, but I have a feeling that SE will release the 2.1 update before the hack. But hopefully I'm wrong, and then we can start thinking of going straight to 2.2

Eventhough this question is answered countless of times here we go:
Yes you can update.
If you have the message on your phone you have to update through a computer. I think that message also appeared on your phone.
If your phone says with 1.6 you already have the latest software, you can change to Nordic (search this forum how to) and update than through SEUS, works perfectly well.
You can install apps of course with 2.1 but some people get the first time download errors. Solution: Delete the Market update in Settings/Applications/Application settings(??...i don't know the english word for "beheren"/Market and than tap Delete/Remove Updates.
There you go...

[Q] Help to flash custom rom to x10mini OR PLEASE CRACK THE BOOTLOADER

I am in DESPERATE need to run psfreedom from my x10mini as no psp ports exist and i can only find full-blown programmer boards in greece(cost E100+). Anyway to flash a custom kernel?
Would be NICE to run cyanogenmod on x10mini as SE has left us with Android 1.6.
any help at all apreciated
I am also looking for one but for the x10 not the mini but for all the same reasons
The guys are hard at work cracking the bootloder, but it takes time. Root for the x10 took ages.
We are all In the same boat I want to flash cm6 too. But until its cracked we can't.
You are aware of the 2.1 update before the end of september? Won't be stuck on 1.6 anymore

Can I Install Android 2.1 on the Nexus S for Development Testing?

I would like to install android 2.1 on Nexus S. Yes, you read that correctly. I want to backup my existing cyanogen 7.1 (android 2.3) install, install 2.1, create a backup of that, then be able to switch back and forth between 2.1 and 2.3 for testing android apps during development.
Does anyone know if this is possible? Do you know of any roms that might work? Any direction would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

sure that would work!
but there arent any android 2.1 nexus s roms. you would have to build your own from source, or port a 2.1 rom to the nexus s
Hmm...well then it does not look too promising for me . I have never built an android rom or ported one before. If anyone else has any other ideas I would love to hear them.
Maybe it would be possible for me to install an android 2.1 rom made for the Galaxy S?

the galaxy s rom wouldnt flash, unless you turned off the signature check in recovery. then you will probably just brick your phone.
The kernel I think would be the hard part of this.

Rom Help

i just got a Virgin mobile LG Optimus V from a friend and i don't really want it as a phone, i would really like it as a iPod sort of thing and i'm new to rooting and flashing roms so i need help with it. i have already rooted it using gingerbreak and i would like either a 2.3 or 4.0 rom . (not really digging android 2.2) whenever i look at the forum for a rom on here the links are always broken so can someone help me maby walk me through flashing a rom and which is the best? another question. if i install a rom with either 2.3 or 4.0, will i be able to use apps that require 2.3 or 4.0?
the play market docent have alot of selection for froyo 2.2.
For flashing rom just google it
for a good rom try gingersnap by neko95
apps frm 2.3 will work as o1 is upgradable to 2.3.1 but apps for 4.0 will not work
Press THANKS IF I HELPED
You can try LeWaOS by me.. link is in the description
Ics roms have some bug's so let's try gingerbread based roms they are good.

[Q] Updating an Android OS.

I'm considering buying a phone that I've always wanted, however it's running an 'ancient' Android OS, Froyo. There are currently ICS-custom roms for the phone, but my question is, if I update from 2.2 Froyo to the 4.0 ICS rom, will I be able to access, download, and use 4.0 applications for it? Or are the custom roms just there to make the phone look up-to-date?
Thanks in advanced for any replies

When you install a custom ROM, it updates your phone to the OS that the ROM is based on.
So yes, when you install a 4.0 ROM you would be able to run 4.0 apps because you would be running Android 4.0
