Is it possible to update the Xperia X10 to Android 2.1? - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

I've checked everywhere but I've gotten mixed replys. Some say it's possible, others say it's on the way, and others say it's impossible.
So, what's the deal? Can we flash the Xperia X10 to the Android 2.1 system yet?

No Not yet..

Nope. Not possible yet. Not until the bootloader is hacked.
Not to discredit our wonderful developers, but I have a feeling that SE will release the 2.1 update before the hack. But hopefully I'm wrong, and then we can start thinking of going straight to 2.2

Can i update andoid 2.1 to rooted Xperia x10 with R2BA026
Can anyone help me,
I have rooted my Xperia X10 with Build number R2BA026.
Can i update to Android 2.1, bcoz i get the update notification.

Eventhough this question is answered countless of times here we go:
Yes you can update.
If you have the message on your phone you have to update through a computer. I think that message also appeared on your phone.
If your phone says with 1.6 you already have the latest software, you can change to Nordic (search this forum how to) and update than through SEUS, works perfectly well.
You can install apps of course with 2.1 but some people get the first time download errors. Solution: Delete the Market update in Settings/Applications/Application settings(??...i don't know the english word for "beheren"/Market and than tap Delete/Remove Updates.
There you go...

is it impossible to make it work by any means on 2.1? and im not only asking about this software but about every other widget or app that asks for 2.2

Help!!!! My rooted droid eris 2.1 just all of a sudden WILL NOT download/installl market apps but will download app, etc from the internet If you can help in any way THAT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL!!
will it say it is downloading then not do anything after that or just not do anything at all? I was having that same prob on my moto droid. Reset my phone then they all installed perfect...
I had a similar issue yesterday but i did a complete wipe and reflashed my rom which solved the problem. If your market doesn't begin to work soon i would suggest that.
Android Market has been having issues for the last day. Google have been working on it.
I wouldn't do anything drastic to your phones for now, wait until the problem has been fixed!
HERE'S a linky
thanks!! and how do you update the droid eris to 2.2 i need good details thanks for all your help
I'm sure all your updating needs will be covered HERE.

Question about OnLive for Android

This is my first ever post not sure if its in the right place but is it possible in anyway for me to play games through the onlive app on my sony ericsson u20i ? Help would be much appreciated thanks
why not try downloading it and trying a demo? It's free.....
or are you trying to say you've tried and it doesn't work because your android version is too old and the specs of the phone are too poor? If so then you're probably out of luck...
Im trying to say my android version is 2.1 and it requires 2.3 + to download I need to know if rooting my phone and installing a 2.3 gingerbread rom would allow me to do this
wow if there's an update for your phone from 2.1 then why haven't you done it yet?

(Req) Xperia Phonebook & Message

* I searched this on XDA and on Google. There are many ports of OTHER APPS but not these two. Also, most 'ports' that I found of Xperia apps in general were for other Xperia phones which will therefore not work on other ROMs*
Has anyone seen these for any ROM? I would prefer the beautiful Jelly Bean version on the Xperia Z but I would happily use any version. I'm using a JB ROM atm.
Many thanks for any help.

I'm a bit interested by this as well. Could you just take the mms.apk from the sony rom and overwright the one in CM? Maybe it needs the framework...(which, if you run the mods that make the phone practically an xperia, would it have enough of the framework i wonder? i havent messed with it yet, probably will this weekend)
Hi buddy.
I have tried installing the Jelly Bean version from different Sony ROMs. None of them worked. I tried normal install and putting them in system/app with various permissions. I'm not even sure which permissions to use for this, but I think I have tried all of them.
There are some Sony apps that you can 'normal install'. I wonder how the devs do that exactly. Maybe they disconnect some dependencies on framework or something.
If you are interested in other Sony apps, there are a bunch of them here until we get Phonebook/SMS:

*Bump*
Anyone? I've searched and searched but no luck yet.
