Help!!!! My rooted droid eris 2.1 just all of a sudden WILL NOT download/installl market apps but will download app, etc from the internet If you can help in any way THAT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL!!
will it say it is downloading then not do anything after that or just not do anything at all? I was having that same prob on my moto droid. Reset my phone then they all installed perfect...
I had a similar issue yesterday but i did a complete wipe and reflashed my rom which solved the problem. If your market doesn't begin to work soon i would suggest that.
Android Market has been having issues for the last day. Google have been working on it.
I wouldn't do anything drastic to your phones for now, wait until the problem has been fixed!
HERE'S a linky
thanks!! and how do you update the droid eris to 2.2 i need good details thanks for all your help
I'm sure all your updating needs will be covered HERE.

Hi everyone, I'm new on these forums and after looking through the forums, was unable to find a solution or even anyone else who seems to be having the same problem as me.
My problem: I recently rooted my mytouch 3g 1.2 and flashed to the latest cyanogen rom. The OS was noticably faster but I also noticed that my IM app was nowhere to be found. I am able to install apps with no problem and the OS is perfectly fine with the exception of the occasional lag. I currently have AIM installed but I prefer the stock IM app. Can anyone advise me on what I can do to regain my stock IM app? Thanks in advance.
Can anyone help? :\
think you need to be a bit more specific then "stock im"
only im I know that is stock for most windows mobiles
is messenger
It's a MyTouch. Android phone. And I'm talking about the stock IM app in 1.6.
I rooted my HTC Hero and then installed cyanogen 6.1,now i have no access to the android market. Is there a workaround or a fix for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Maybe sounds stupid but your phone is logging to google talk ??
If not solve this problem than market will work. At me at least that was the problem after I rooted my Huawei Ideos
Cyanogen roms dont have Google apps, if thats what your asking, try installing Gapps, you could google that or look in the thread, otherwise just follow the post above me's advice
I installed the google app pack for cyanogen, got the market back, but its the old interface. Had the new one before root, will it come back? Or am i stuck with the old one? Either way,its better than no market! lol
OK so yes i am a newbee ...sorry....anyways
I have done this update to G-Harmony Gingerbread 2.3.4, works well so far
But after doing the ROM, then the GAPPS I have no market icon, dont see anyway to install it
Any help would be great and sorry if this is silly or dumb but i just cant seem to figure it out
Thank you
Mike
o used gapps-gb-20110307-signed, then after connecting to wifi the market appeared in my apps.
Hello,
Firstly apologies if this thread is a duplicate - happy to close if it's somewhere else.
I'm new to rooting so any help would be appreciated...
Rooted my Desire a week ago.
CWM with CoolAces v7
Android: 2.3.3
Sense: 2.1
Baseband:32.48.00.32U_5.10.05.30
Kernel: 2_6_35_10-g3008ba26
S/W #: 2.36.405.8
My phone is initially one of the original UK Desires from Orange.
So I got the new rom on - had to add a fix to sort out 1 way audio if I made a call and now it's all working great...apart from some things in the Market.
Google Earth, Adobe Flash & BBC iPlayer have disappeared - if I use my PC's browser to go to [market.android.com] I see the apps but am unable to "push" them to my handset - get the error message "this application isn't compatible..."
A friend of mine did exactly the same upgrade to his Desire - but can see all the apps in the market (his was an O2 version of the Desire) so not sure if there's something funky with my Desire or not??
Update
Ok - so doing some research it would appear that there's some questions over the fingerprint that the market sees from the phone.
Anyone any ideas to how to update my Desire fingerprint with one that would work in the android market.
Alternatively any ideas how to bypass this??
Thanks,
Rob.
I have the same problem, not looked for Google Earth or iPlayer but I couldnt get Adobe Flash Player so its probably the same.
Also on an Orange Desire.
I found that on CoolAces v7 from the 9th of June worked allowed me to download Flash from the market but whenever I update to a newer update of the ROM although I have kept Flash installed I cant see it on the market anymore.
Perhaps something was changed after that date with the ROM that messed this up for Orange Desires.
Ste
Yep - that fixed it.
So I got a copy of the ROM that my mate put onto his Desire - flashed it onto mine and all the apps I was missing in the market are now back.
Thanks for the info.
Rob.
So i recently put this rom on my phone...

I have no data service. My model is Xt862.
I used Hascodes patch and it worked for awhile but now losing service again and its yet to come back even after all the rebooting ive done. Ive read, and read, and read, and searched but ive found nothing.
Can anyone help me fix this? If theres something I missed can you provide links? I would highly appreciate this a lot.
Thank you
Flash it back to stock with rsd lite. I assume that's the flash tool you moto guys still use.
