Can i not change the icons that are used in sense in one of the homescreens? i cannot get it done with the apps simi folder or folder organizer.
The icons are changed but the changes are not visible on my sense screen.
Does this mean i have to shut down sense to get my own favored icons on my homescreen?
And if that is so, how to shut down sense and install another icon organizer (and which one)?
I would look up different launch apps on market. Launcher pro is good ex launcher is good. They offer different ways to style ur home screen.
The most you can do without root is hiding parts of sense with other launchers and themes.
So i can't tell this phone of mine within sense that it should stop starting sense, but some other launchers will do that for me?
And again: it is NOT possible to change the icons within sense?
I managed it with Phlashcut, but then i don't have the icons available that i want to use.
edit: I guess this will do the trick
edit edit: With folder organizer i did it. Modify in the tool and place the icons on the homescreen as widget of the organizer.

I have been looking for a standalone app that looks functions like the stock app drawer, but with customizable icons+shortcuts that I can link to from the homescreen; this would be similar to App Organizer or Folder Launcher, which you can do the same thing with, but then apps are displayed in list view. I would just like a snapping "icon view" vertical app drawer.
The goal is to be able to use a quick, lightweight launcher such as Zeam, and be able to change the icons and link to this app instead of the stock one. I feel this would be a solution for many others who don't need or want a full featured homescreen and just want to be able to get a custom look.
This would also save an enormous ammount of time for those (like me) who have attempted to Meta/Ninja-morph or resign market apps and spent a rediculous ammount of time trying to change that one giant orange square icon that throws off the otherwise clean custom look of your drawer.
I love ADW Ex, but it can get really bogged down with multiple widgets. LauncherPro can hide apps from the drawer and have homescreen shortcuts, but that is a pain as well. Other possible featurs could be horizontal/vertical/4d/etc. and custom arrangement, keeping in mind that the main goal is to keep it from eating up resources. Anybody?
(maybe this thread should be moved, thnx)
I know Im not the only one

Doesn't allow custom icons
Anyone figured out how to create folders within the apps drawer or at least reorganize the apps yet?
I was looking at another home launcher like GO Launcher EX, but want to really test out Sense 3.0 since I've never used it before...
Hello,
I rooted my nexus s and was wondering how do I change the Icons on them? Do I have to download a ROM for a custom theme? Also I downloaded a icon package which I really like, was wondering if its possible to use them?
adw ex launcher lets you change your icons

Use a launcher that allows you to change the icons. If you're on ICS, use Nova Launcher. If not, ADW, Launcher Pro and GO Launcher all let you customize icons.
Keep in mind though, that for apps the icons are only changed in the homescreen, but not in the drawer.
That is true for all except GO!Launcher. It changes app icons in App Drawer. Otherwise you're right those are all great options. You can however change the icon in a system folder somehow... I've seen a tutorial on the forums somewhere, but it takes work.
Nexus S - CyberGR Hybrid ICS (5), Matrix Kernel (15)
I'm not exactly used to a folder limit of 12 appps. Anyways of increasing the stock folder app to hold infinite apps like it used to be able to? I tried some on the market but they look like crap.
I think your only options are either folder apps (like Apps Organizer or Folder Organizer) or home replacements (Apex Launcher). Apex Launcher has good looking, customizable folder icons that can look either just like the HTC folders (square boxes with a 2x2 grid) or you can change them to circles or rounded boxes and have them display icons in a 3x3 grid or in a stack.
Of course if you use an alternate launcher, you miss out on all those great HTC Sense widgets.
Hello!
I've been searching for apps that will enable me to change how folders appear in the screen. I tried Nova Launcher and liked its "stacked" layout of apps that are in the same folder, and I've been trying to replicate that effect ever since (or any effect as long as its not the boring square with multiple icons layout).
I tried Folder Organizer, but it messes the layout as the icon is not aligned with the rows, and the font is different. Any other apps that blends well with Sense UI?
Thanks in advance!
