Anyone figured out how to create folders within the apps drawer or at least reorganize the apps yet?
I was looking at another home launcher like GO Launcher EX, but want to really test out Sense 3.0 since I've never used it before...

Can i not change the icons that are used in sense in one of the homescreens? i cannot get it done with the apps simi folder or folder organizer.
The icons are changed but the changes are not visible on my sense screen.
Does this mean i have to shut down sense to get my own favored icons on my homescreen?
And if that is so, how to shut down sense and install another icon organizer (and which one)?
I would look up different launch apps on market. Launcher pro is good ex launcher is good. They offer different ways to style ur home screen.
The most you can do without root is hiding parts of sense with other launchers and themes.
So i can't tell this phone of mine within sense that it should stop starting sense, but some other launchers will do that for me?
And again: it is NOT possible to change the icons within sense?
I managed it with Phlashcut, but then i don't have the icons available that i want to use.
edit: I guess this will do the trick
edit edit: With folder organizer i did it. Modify in the tool and place the icons on the homescreen as widget of the organizer.

I was wondering if there is a dev out there that created/could create a mod or an app that will allow me to create a folder in the app drawer like in Go launcher.
I love sense and i don't want a different launcher and this is the only problem that bugs me about the sense launcher and i don't wan't to have folders on my 'desktop' because I rather have widgets or icons there
a little bump for first page
definitely won't happen.
why not??
it is very organized and not everybody wants to have folders on the desktop screen

Nova Launcher prime, possibly apex launcher pro. both require ICS
I don't want to change my launcher i want to keep the sense launcher

Find me the source code for the Sense launcher and I'll add that feature for you...
Or, you can try to add the function yourself...
On a serious note, you're most likely not going to get that feature unless you can find a way to back port it by use of apktool. Obviously you're a small voice in a big crowd and it's not likely that any knowledgable developers are going to take on the time consuming project to please you.
I don't mean to offend you, I'm just sarcastic...
Now, if you do want that feature then there have been some viable solutions offered to you in this thread already.
I have used and organised my stock launcher for quite some time I now I want to try Apex and Nova as alternatives. Is there any way that I can copy the desktop icons and widgets to the new launchers? I tried some apps claiming to do that but is seems that they cannot copy from the stock one. Suggestions?
each app handles shortcuts and widgets differently so it cant really be done
I will bump this as I have tried Desk Migrate with no success, if anyone have another solution please reply
Okay, I'm baffled by this.
I am running the latest version of NOVA Launcher (Prime) and am trying to place apps in the Drawer into the various tabs I have created.
However, when I try to drag an app from it's place in the "All Apps" tab to a different tab, Nova immediately tries to place it as a shortcut on a home page.
What am I missing?
Thanks!
Figured it out
Okay. Just figured it out.
Apps are placed in the tabs/groups within Nova settings>Drawer>Drawer Groups, not from the app drawer itself.
Not particularly intuitive, but problem solved!
Thanks.
I've been trying to figure out how to sort apps in the APP DRAWER by putting them in the same folder without installer any other launcher. I am talking about the APP DRAWER not in the HOMEPAGE. Thanks!!!
IPhone 6, not the plus because it bends.
You need to find a launcher with this option. I don't know any on the top of my head.

I use Apex Launcher and it has that option.

They should include this option to the stock Launcher in a future update. I don't want to use another launcher.
Don't hold your breath.

Many launchers are superior to the stock one's. I use Nova and its fast and stable and can do what you are asking about.
Why you don't want to install another launcher?

Bcoz stock launcher has shell where I can add some widgets .. Separately without disturbing home screens
As other have said, you need another launcher to achieve this, I would recommend Apex or Nova launcher. So now it's your decision on which poison you prefer, grouped apps or widgets in shell.
Nova, apex launchers are eat less battery and ram than some stock launchers.
I know this is old but I have this in Nova Launcher Prime
If you're trying to move several folders into a tab at a time:
All you need to do is go into app and widget drawers inside of nova launcher settings (2nd button from the top), then scroll down inside of the new menu until you find "Drawer Groups". Select that and then you will see two columns: tabs and folders. In the "Tabs" column, click on the tab you want folders in, and all your folders will be listed above the apps in the list. Check any folders and apps you want, then you're done.
If you don't have many folders to deal with at once, then it is much more efficient to just open the app drawer, click and hold a folder you want, select edit, then check the tab you want. However, you have to uncheck the current tab before saving or it will stay in both the new and old location, and this does become inefficient when you have almost 100 folders and 8 tabs holding over 350 apps
