I have the HTC HD2 Telstra contracted phone which came with some "pre-set" apps and connections. I have since gotten rid of the pre-set apps but am still having to live with the "password" lock being on all the time. I know this is a safety issue but it would be good to have some control.
Is there a fix for this out there?
Fixed it

same here in Oxygen 2.0.3
when in Just In category and i scroll the contents get FC
Which version of Market? I'm not running CM7 or Oxygen but these work for me with no problem.
stock Vending.apk version 2.3.6
Try *22899 to reprogram and refresh yourself in the Verizon network. I had Market problems until I did this. I hope it helps resolve your problem. This is assuming your on Verizon. If not, do the same for your specific service provider.
i'm not on Verizon network, i don't even live in US
U guys have this problem, in facebook app. When click on friends i got FC. What the hell!!!
I guess i need to change rom again.

Neither does mine and come to think of it, neither does my e-mail and it is all setup in "Accounts & Sync".
Just got 2 random systems updates from htc. Anyone have an idea what it may be? Phones seems to run a lot smoother...

Mhmm, One of them is the music beta app.. The other one I have no idea.
I don't have any updates in Denmark.
I just received two updates also. One is HTC music - the other is HTC listen and I have no idea what listen is? I do not think either would affect phone operation.

I have the same problem with my news and weather widget on my Nexus S, yet my wife's Nexus S's widget is working and we both have stock Jelly Bean 4.1.1 and are on the same network.
See below for a possible solution:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28966169&postcount=29
Basically the poster removed the widget from the home screen, cleared the app data in settings, readded the app and refreshed. Unfortunately for me I still get the network error message after the widget loads everything correctly initially.
Same here, doesn't work.

This seem to be a temporary problem with the data provider, see:

Having the same issue on Galaxy S2 on Android4.0.3 ,its been like that since this morning, i even cleared cache to no result, guess it is a server side issue.
I like this widget a lot, a glance at my HS and i have the latest local and international news headlines and weather, its very convenient,i hope its fixed soon.
Anyone have any luck getting the widget to work?

Checked on Nexus S, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, Asus Slider, Sony Tablet S and it's not working on any of the devices.
It's not a connection problem, the Google servers just don't send data back.
My guess: they disabled it for everyone because it doesn't have that much users and Google wants you to use Google Now or the web app.
Same issue here using the Samsung Galaxy S II running CyanogenMod 9.
same on i9023
hi,
i have got the same issue with news & weather widget on my i9023 since the ota update yesterday...
next issue:
accu is drained by the data-sync service, i didn't changed any setting after the jelly bean update (4.1.1, google now is deactivated) and now this service uses about 75 percent of total. when i deactivate the sync, the drain stops...
issue #3:
the device gets warm while loading or usage. it's not the accu, it's above the accu on the back, where the sim-card is located
anyone any ideas?
thx

I doubt they just disabled it for everyone. Jellybean isn't universally out for most devices. Not sure which web app your referencing.
There are people with the galaxy nexus with this widget not working too.....
Anyone know of another news and weather widget I could use for now
