Decided to go onto the markeylt to have a look for some alps as you do when I noticed the now on the market where it has the 3 short cut options apps games and my apps now shoes apps games and vodafone.... On there is a bunch of apps they reccomend, apps I already know about and don't use because I don't want to so I was a little annoyed to see the my apps button removed
You branded vodafone

I have a thread open about this. Restart the phone and it goes back to normal. I don't think we were supposed to see this yet. I'm expecting it to become permanent in the future, perhaps to coincide with a ROM update.

Fyi, my unbranded Sensation has HTC in the Market, instead of Vodafone!
Regards,
Dave
Yeah, seems OEMs/Operators are starting to link into the apps more
Restarted phone branding is still there, yet maybe with the post above having htc this is staying regardless I want my apps back lol

It is there, Menu>My Apps
Did you restart or shutdown? Shutdown will not make any difference

Unbranded handsets still say 'HTC' instead of My Apps - looks like it's going no matter what

Ive just noticed an app in my app drawer called Vodafone Rescue. Im sure it wasnt there before. As anyone else got this?
Found its description HERE.
I think it can be uninstalled but im sure ive never noticed that before.
yea you are right this wasnt there before, I noticed this on my first sensation when I sent it back and got a new one it wasnt there, it appeared when I had to restart my phone, the Vodafone Branding came on the market and the Rescue service also appeared.
I assume its remote access if you are having problems, voda can take controle of your phone and sort any issues.
Can it be related to which SIM card you have in your phone? I have a Vodafone branded Sensation but still with the SIM card of my current operator (going to Vodafone in a month) and in the market it still says My Apps.
I would assume that vodafone send down some form of 'Ping' at some point that adds Vodafone Rescue and changes the market menu link, but I cant be 100% sure, but I would assume it has something to do with the sim
Unbranded FW now says 'HTC' instead of My Apps but you can still get it by going Menu>My Apps
cheers eddie, i feel the removal of apps on android is a drawn out task, I know using launcher pro enables you to drag and drop apps inot the bin to uninstall but I would think this should be a standard feature
Just had this chat with Htc:
I do have rescue but i can't see any changes to the market, and i have restarted phone recently.... Hmmm....
the quicker we get s-off with perma root, the better. I dont like how vodafone have the ability and right to install their crap without permission or warning, on a device I own and that I have paid for.
Custom unbranded rom please!
Android market 3.3.11 was pushed to my phone this morning. New interface, better performance, and better navigation.
If you have not got it pushed yet, you'll be getting it very soon. To force the market to search for the update, go to your apps, find market updater, and clear data.
Cheers!

3.3.11?
wasn't this pushed awhile back?
think I've had 3.3.11 for atleast couple weeks?
remember being pushed to my phone right around when Google music went public...
Also got the new market earlier today after buying some of the 10 cent apps.
Also got the new market today, had seen it on my old nexus one a few weeks back. Seems about the same speed but I did discover a bunch of medical apps I wouldn't otherwise find.

hate this
i still have the old market...i am unsatisfied with my phone.
Guys, is anyone of you experiencing Sense interface restarts every time an app is installed through the market?
I can't find if the culprit is this new market, an incompatibility with some apps I installed or a behavior due to the heavy Sense v3.0...
Hi guys,
I am fairly new to the who flashing thing with phones but so far I love it...just one discovery though, it seems that most builds I have tired with 4.0.3 struggle with using multiple accounts on android market. Can someone else confirn this just so I know its not me.
Cheers

I have two Google accounts on my phone and at some point have accidentally purchased apps from the Market with the wrong account. So technically I am using two different Google accounts in Market with no problems
Got also 2 accounts and i haven't noticed any problems with that, sometimes after uninstalling app it stays at the bottom of the list but after next sync/reboot its comming back to normal
Hi, i have the android revolition hd sesnation 6.70 rom installed. When the phone ring the phone changes the profile to silent automatically.
Is it possibly a little bug in the Rom? You might want to post on the Roms developer web site and see if any one else is also experiencing the same issue.perhaps they know a fix for it.It's worth checking out... Sometimes the developers sites know of all the little bugs and have simple fixes for them. It's worth a try . Hope you get your issue resolved soon. I personally have never tried that particular Rom so I can't say or help with the issue myself but on the developers site perhaps other users experienced this same issue... Best of luck.

what rom are you using?
I'm using viper s and my ringtone is loud no problems

Tried using navigation. With 2 different sensation phones. 1 stock, 1 rooted with revolution rom. I bet it has to do with the Google Maps app. It's been doing nothing but crashing (rebooting). Is this happening to anyone else?

No. No one else.
You are the only one.
I mean other than the 10,000,000 other people who have had the problems with Google Maps since it's most recent update was pushed with some major bugs that cause exactly the problems you are experiencing. Those bugs have been well documented and have been discussed in multiple threads in this forum as well at just about every feedback left on the Play Store for the past week specific to this exact problem.
But other than those millions upon millions of people, you are the only one with these problems.
Dude, you've just written down what I've been suspecting about Google Maps for some days now. Mine crashes too, not every day and every time, but when it does it keeps doing it. Restarting doesn't help, restarting after battery yanked out doesn't help, will crash and reboot 5-10 secs after starting Maps, and this'll go on for some time until I decide not to us GMaps anymore. So I'm gonna try with satellite settings turned off, anybody better idea?
(I'm rooted on ARHD-6.7.2 XE, OTA'd at 1.27.0000)
Apparently is an issue with Sensation 4G and the Resound

Likewise.... I have the original HTC sensation and just this week google navigation has been causeing the phone to reboot (within 30 seconds).
Very frustratiting ==> I did a full reset of my phone today and it is still happening.

Roll back to an older version while Google gets their **** in gear.
I think this is just more than a Google Maps issue. I have 2 phones 1 with Elegancia Sense 4 v2.7.0 and one ARHD and the Elegancia has no issue. since the update of maps i have never had 1 problem and never had to reinstall or uninstall, ARHD however was so damaged by the update i had to remove it and patch the older version....
this may be a Dev+Google Maps issue.
Using CM9 stable, my sensation keeps crashing while using Google Maps,
I've never had a single problem using Google maps. Just used it the entire time on a drive from Hilton Head to DC aka 9 hours. Nav worked perfectly on CM10

Google Vs. HTC
Just a hunch but I don't think this is going to get fixed anytime soon. The problem seems limited to HTC phones (specifically the Sensation and Rezound). I suspect Google will blame HTC and HTC will either blame Google or more likely since the phone is EOL, simply ignore the issue.

FYI Elegancia uses some files from 3.32 base (to make the tweaks work properly instead of porting them) and it appears this issue is with the 3.33 bases
